He did an excellent job. He cared that every square inch was watered, he spent time explaining options to my husband, he was very pleasant to work with and fully trained us on our system. He did not cut corners in his work. I would absolutely hire him again.

The owner, Christie Reed, is very casual with business details. I decided on a solid drainage line from the back of my driveway to the street, about 95 ft. sloped 3/16" per ft. The work was drastically sub parr. She illegally started digging before PG&E came out and marked the gas line. Her crew of six dug the trench then connected the pipe while others installed the drain box and others back filled the trench even while the pipe was still being connected. I noticed the drain box was installed 2 inches higher than the driveway so the water would not flow into the box until a ten foot pool formed. Her crew lowered the box below the driveway. They were in a rush to get to another job. The next day I checked the drain box, it was 2-3 inches lower than the driveway which was only three feet away. This would make a concrete ditch in the walkway. The box was also tilted 1 inch in 12 inches side to side. I pulled out the drain box. The holes they drilled in the corners of the box so as not to have standing water were drilled of the side corners an inch from the bottom. I drilled holes in the bottom corners, raised and leveled it. I then measured the slope of the installed pipe. It was less than 1/8"/ft. with a section that went uphill and two sections virtually flat. They came back out and dug up the pipe and I acted as their Q.C. guy as as they tried to make a 3/16 per ft. slope. One guy said they were making a 1" in 10 ft slope, another crew guy said 1-1/2" per 10 ft slope, both notions were less than the 3/16"/ft. contract slope. They didnt have clear or correct instructions. Christie came back to the job site. Then they had to adjust the downspout inlet pipes to be closer to the wall. I was lied to about why the couldn't be closer to the wall. They told me the foundation concrete was in the way. This was a bold faced lie as these same inlets were correct on their first installation and my foundation, where this occurred, has no footings being the 1912 battered style. They just didn't want to do the work. On the inlets, they used one 90 degree couplings instead of two 45 degree couplings making maintenance difficult to impossible. I wanted a concrete box, Christie said couldn't get one and said it would be cheaper to use plastic; Her bill was no cheaper with the plastic box. I asked for a discount since I was working as her Q.C. person. Christie said no, she would make less money. When they finished I said to Christie "At least you will not have to come back here" She said "If we do, we'll have to bury you in the trench." By threatening death, she is acting like Trump. Picture shows the Drain Slope measurement of first installed pipe with gauge sticks about 15 ft. apart. I have photographs of the bad work.

He and his crew did a beautiful job. They were very efficient. I had a French drain put in, a new rock wall built, sprinkler and drip system throughout, and many trees and plants. I also put in a swing and extended my fence. It's wonderful and magical.

We have used them for at least 5 different projects over the years. They have been just super, and always call them when a project comes up. We have had them out here almost every year. They are very good at building fences, and adding new landscaping. They installed an irrigation system for us as well.

Jean was very professional, as were his staff.  He provided an initial proposal and then updated it a year later once we had the money to do the project.  The updated estimate increased and Jean was very forthcoming as to why (material and labor costs).  He provided cost reducing suggestions that we accepted.  He provided the first lawn and landscape maintenance for free and stopped by several times to confirm the irrigation was working correctly and landscape was progressing well.  I hope to use Jean in the future if and when we tackle our back yard.

    McGregor Bullard Irrigation
Great job. He gave an estimate on site, scheduled the job within a few days, and did the job thoroughly and professionally, with quality materials and quality workers who left the garden a lot cleaner than they found it. He also gave us options and creative ideas. The system he installed works beautifully, and is so simple I wish I'd done it years ago. McGregor takes pride in his work, and he should.

Roselio and his crew were wonderful!! They are such good workers and did it all cheerfully because it was very hard work. They followed directions and even though there is sometimes a language problem with the workers, everything was still done  as we wanted it. We feel Roselio uses good products and knows a great deal about irrigation. The crew cleans up very well after each stage of the job and went the "extra mile" to make us happy (like moving plants after they planted them and we changed our minds about where they should go)! Roselio also knows a lot about plants and was able to transplant existing plants successfully. We recommend his company and in fact, our next door neighbors will be using him this week after seeing our successful project! It is nice to find such a hard-working, conscientious company as Samayoa Landscaping!

    Samayoa Landscaping
We found Samayoa Landscaping on Angies List, and are so glad we did.
The sod part of our yard is about 900 sq feet and we got quotes from about 4 people, ranging from crazy cheap to ridiculously expensive.
Roselio provided a competitive quote, then started the job the following week.  The team removed our old sod & soil then added new soil with gorgeous sod on top.    Turns our irrigation system wasn't up to spec, so he very kindly upgraded the system at no charge (we bought the materials).
The team is hardworking, honest and left our entire yard in better condition than they found it (especially hard considering the everything was removed then installed by hand via our gate and front garden)
After being nickel & dimed by other contractors, we appreciate they didn't start adding on "extras" to the quote or try to up-sell.  The price we were quoted was the price we paid.
A month later our sod looks wonderful, Roselio has even been back a couple of times to check the watering & condition of the sod.
He will be our 1st call for all our garden needs from now on, thanks Angie's List and thanks Samayoa Landscaping - our yard looks like a page from a magazine!

    1. because they're so busy, it took a couple weeks to get a cost estimate issued which wasn't a problem for me because the work wasn't urgent. The work was done a month later and ABC estimate was the only one I received [two other non-Angie list providers] with details of plant selection/quantity and various work option so I could pick/choose dependent on my budget. Workers are professional, timely and Jack is great and knows his stuff.
    2. Still having issues with the sprinkler system so I couldn't give them an overall A and we will have ABC estimate the next phase, the other section of the yard

When I called to schedule I was given the date and one hour window I requested. They called the night before with a friendly reminder. I was quoted $395.00 for a two hour session because I have a large property. The technician Scott arrived on time, listened carefully to my explanation and got to work immediately. About 20 minutes later he had found the leak. He explained the problem thoroughly. I did ask if they did repairs and he gave me an estimate. Because he found the leak so quickly, he discounted my bill $100! I had the leak repaired by my plumber who was a little less expensive than the estimate given by American Leak Detection. The leak was exactly where Scott said it was and the repair took the amount of time Scott had estimated. I would definitely use this company again and highly recommend it to others
