    Pure Home Remodeling
From our first phone conversation that we had with Amit at pure home remodeling, I understood that this is a different company that work differently from all the other ones. Amit really understood the value of the relationship that must have when a remodeling project is achieved and he understood clearly our expectations. During our meetings at our that house, Amir didnt relied just on our personal design concepts and more than that, his design process started with our design preferences and included additional solutions to several items that we wanted to have but unfortunately they couldnt be implemented. One of the ideas of Amir was to take down one wall that separated our kitchen from the rest of the house and we loved that idea because it made the house with a much larger open space. The remodeling went fast and Amir made sure that the crew will work at the house on a daily basis making sure that the daily tasks will be accomplished. While the work was in progress, Amir went with us to several vendors in order to select the right materials for our remodeling. We are very happy with everything they did for us and our remodeling present how professional and knowledgeable this company is as well as thorough and original.

    SES Builders inc
SES builders was recommended to us by one of our close friends, the SES builders team were very skilled and hardworking people. Eli is a skilled contractor and designer who give 100% of himself in order to achieve the very best of work. Our project included the kitchen and master bedroom and bathroom and was managed by Eli while executing by his team. The entire remodeling is a huge success and we are very happy with the results of how it came out. Each time we walk and use our new kitchen, we totally amazed and happy. The same feeling we have for the rest of the remodeling as well. Everything in the work including the painting, new insulation, woodworking, cabinets etc are in perfect final results. In regards to the communication and reports Eli made sure to keep us in the loop in regards to anything involved with the work. We are very happy.

    EZ Builders Inc.
We hired EZ builders to completely remodel the exterior and interior of our house. Our decision to hire them was based on their price, past and present experience and our impression with Jacob from the first meeting all the way to the completion of the remodeling. This was by far one of the best decisions we have ever made, mainly because all the money that was involved in it! The work was progressed based on the plan (including some delays here and there which is completely normal). Jacob helped and guided us in regards to everything. He went with us hand by hand to see and select all the finishes that we needed to the work and more than that, he made sure to talk to us often and informing us about any progress of the work. We recommend EZ builders with 100% confidence that that will do any remodeling project. They earned the highest possible rating from us!

    Clark Drywall Inc.
Matt was prompt and professional in his assessment of our damaged drywall areas, and I felt the price quoted was quite reasonable for the areas of repair that were in scope. Matt set up a time for the following day to start the repairs, but I had to hold on the job to reconsider doing a full re-piping project as an alternative. Matt was also very responsive in communication (email/phone). I will keep him in mind for future work.

    Energy Green Builders
The company was very prompt in replying once I'd bought the deal, and we made an appointment when I was available, which was a couple of weeks later. When the technician arrived, he asked me about my concerns & I explained my concern with water stains & peeling paint on the kitchen ceiling, with possible rodents in the attic & with need for insulation in my attic. He set up his ladder, climbed up a few steps & peeked into the attic. He took a couple of cell phone pictures & showed me the results, claiming he could not tell about the water stains without tearing open the ceiling. Well, since the area in question was 10 feet away from where he put his head up, of course he couldn't tell. I told him he could not "open up" my ceiling, and suggested he actually go into the attic to look at that area. He then climbed up again & stood on the ceiling beams, but did not walk around at all in the attic. My attic is over 1500 sq. ft., and he could not possibly have seen any more than a very tiny bit from his perch. He showed me a photo of debris on the floor of the attic, claiming he did not know what it was, but I would have to have the whole area cleaned up, then he could seal the holes & lay down insulation for the price of $6000.  At no time did he suggest looking at the crawl space under the house, or use any type of infrared device, as The Deal claimed he would do.
I consider this whole experience a SCAM!  When I informed him that I could in no way afford $6000 he asked if I could finance that & I said no. He then suggested I call Angie's List & tell them he did not come at all, so I could get back my $79 from them, and he would confirm that, since he did not get any money from that anyway! How kind. Then he said, on second thought, what he needed were ratings so he could be higher on Angie's list, and if I hadn't used him, I couldn't rate him & he really only wanted the rating. So forget the $79 back.
I suggest you stay far away from Energy Green Builders, at least from this scam of a "Complete  Attic and Crawlspace Inspection, Plus Whole House Infrared Scan" since it was a complete waste of my time & money. I think it might have been worth $20 for the amount of inspection he did!

Water Damage Zone & Restoration Inc
This review is more about Best American Builders, the restoration company owned and operated by the same people that own Water Damage Zone. When you call out WDZ, BAB is right behind them. This was paid for by insurance, hence the $0 cost. There is no particular skill required for water damage cleanup. I suppose these people did the same quality of work as anyone else. That includes damaging things during demolition that resulted in problems during the restoration. Go ahead and hire them if you don't mind some grief, just don't use BAB. I suggest that you don't use any damage mitigation's sister restoration company. It's time you spent some money fixing up the kitchen anyway, right? Find a good general contractor that has worked with insurance companies, but plan on paying extra so that they are not motivated to do a cheap job. Don't worry about starting right away. This is going to take months. If the project manager will be on the job most of the time the job done quicker with fewer problems.
Regarding the restoration, the quality is a D because there is now less useable space in the drawers and cabinets, a large gap in the bathroom baseboard, shiny caulk next to flat paint, and caulk on the oak trim. There are misaligned cabinet doors and
the opening for the breadboard is a ragged hole and the corners of the breadboard are becoming chewed up. There are more things wrong, but you get the idea. They don't get an F because every thing works, but every time I look at the details I am reminded that it is not as good as it was before. I do have to give them credit for getting a couple things right, like the wainscoting that was demolished for no good reason. I'd like to give them an F, but that does not seem fair. The cabinetry was of excellent quality before. Not any more. My mistake for hiring a restoration company rather than a re-modeler.
The reason for the worst of the problems was that the project manager thought that any errors that were made because of lack of attention to detail could be fixed later. Wrong!
If you have custom cabinetry, do not use them.
They were probably more responsive than most contractors. But the response was often not what I wanted. The lower level people would come and agree that some thing was wrong and would be fixed, but then it was not fixed.
They were as punctual as any other contractor, that is, not reliable.
As for professionalism, the "it will be as good or better than before" when it is not,  "mistakes will be made, but they can be fixed" when they were not, "it can't be done" when it I proved that it could, and "we will keep at it until you are happy" when they did not, earned the D. There was one moment of honesty when the owner said, "I want to make you happy, but I also want to make myself happy." Guess who's happiness won?

    Dry Down Inc
We had an old cast iron drain that leaked profusely under the house and it was the odor that caught our attention. Before the plumber, M Bean Plumbing, could do the repair job the environment had to be cleaned up.  M Bean recommended a company called "Dry Down" to dig out and haul away the contaminated earth. "Dry Down"  arrived the same day and did excellent cleanup job. My plumbing was repaired on Memorial Day 2014.  Kudos to both companies for their tag-team effort on a holiday weekend.
