Project went very smoothly and without any complications which was a pleasant surprise. Joe and his team showed up early every day as promised and completed our job exactly the way we wanted it. Our backyard turned out beautiful! Joes attention to detail, reliability and honesty were unexpected and made this project so much easier than I was anticipating. Would definitely recommend or hire again

From the beginning to the end, I want to thank Ken, Michelle and the crew for a pleasant experience. We told them what we wanted and they came up with a great design. We wanted a low maintenance, drought tolerant front yard. The crew that worked on our yard worked very hard to meet all our expectations and more. The large rocks that were brought in, were placed in a certain way according to how Michelle wanted them to fit in to the total design. Very much an attention to detail company. Highly recommend this company for any of your landscape needs!!! Excellent Job!!

It went Great. Ken and his landscape designer, Michelle, came to our property to survey the backyard. They were professional and quite frank in terms of what should or should not be done. Several weeks later, they came back with photos of plants and suggestions and we came to a general agreement of what we wanted done. A few weeks later, we met again and Michelle walked through the design. We agreed and 3 weeks later, the work started. Canterbury did an excellent job. They sent a team of 4 workers who spent 2 weeks on the job. They arrived promptly every morning and worked extremely hard. What surprised me was that they did everything manually to ensure that they would not damage any unexpected pipes. This is extremely hard work since it involved removing almost all the existing plants and working the soil as well as removing a 14 feet x 20 feet area of lawn (for the vegetable garden). I was impressed that the team was focused on the details and used the appropriate tools to ensure that that things were straight and level where needed. Ken and Michelle showed up every day to ensure that the work was progressing well and, when necessary, had their crew make some tweaks to the job if the work was not perfect. Overall, Canterbury pays attention to the details and the landscaping looks great. We are very happy.

    Pasadena Professional Hardwood Flooring
James made a concerted effort to evaluate the relative urgency of repairs & explained what were unnecessary expenses, & presented the options with their associated potential costs. Since we were experiencing high electric bills we decided to call up these guys. James came out and gave us an estimate and initially we thought the cost was too high. I truly feel he looks out for the client & is concerned with providing quality work & customer satisfaction. Labor & materials costs were very reasonable!  Little did we know about insulation costs! After 3 other estimates that were 25 to 50% higher, we called our friends recommendation back. James came back out (at no charge) and said he could be there the next day. He and Chris blew in the Green Fiber stuff and were done in one day. Very professional. Cleaned up everything. Even had extra tools to fix my fence while the machine was running. We will definitely be calling them for our new house in LA once we get our tax return!

    Regal Construction & Remodeling Inc
Regal put in a second bathroom last year. Sean, the owner, was very cordial and his crews were punctual, professional and did what appeared at first to be a flawless job. The problem was, however, that the skylight Regal installed was (it turned out) not appropriate for residential use and in colder weather drips condensation onto the floor; drops of water also bead around the perimeter and occasionally run down the slanted ceiling to the wall. We sent Sean photos of the problem, he suggested several things (including running the fan all night, maybe punching a small hole in the outside wall) and eventually promised to fix it. But it took months and numerous telephone calls to finally get one of his guys out to house. He tried putting extra insulation around the skylight's outside metal box and, when that didn't work, recommended replacing it with another model. Then he called back and said that wouldn't work either. We found Regal's reluctance to be quite aggravating and it got worse after we decided to hire another firm for a second project because it would save us thousands of dollars over what Regal wanted to charge. Shortly thereafter, Regal stopped returning our calls. Now we're stuck with the weeping skylight and are concerned about what the long-term effect might be.

Everything went according to plan.  All workers were efficient and easy to get along with.  Michelle is an expert on plants and placement.  She is a true artist.  Ken supervised everything and kept us informed.  Yes, we paid a lot of money, but the result is worth it.  Our house is an English tudor style house.  Their plan is consistent with the style of the house.  When they finished, they did a walk-through and explained what we needed to do to maintain the landscaping. Everything was properly placed with adequate spacing so that it will not be overgrown over time.

Edgar at Armscraft Construction was great to work with! He and his crew showed up on time (actually a little early) every day, got right to work, and finished exactly when I was told they would be done. My hardwood floors are original to my 1924 house and probably hadn't been refinished or tended to in at least 30 years. Now the floors look brand new! Not a single stain from before is left.
We are thrilled with the work by Armscraft and will definitely use them in the future.

    Paramount Pavers & Construction
The work was excellent, the bid was fair, the work was performed on time and Isaac was very accommodating to make sure I was completely happy with the job. There was an issue with a small amount of the work that was not up to the standard that had been established. Isaac happily agreed to remove the flagstones in question and replace them at no cost to me. The finished work far exceeded my expectations.

Ken and Michelle spent our first meeting really listening to what I wanted in my front yard and showing me pictures of plants that could work in the different areas of shade and sun. I was thrilled with the plan they came back with. I also appreciated that they kept my budget in mind when making decisions on how to lay out the initial design. They kept a brick path that I thought we'd have to remove and they found a way to make it look great. Ken and Michelle responded very quickly and thoroughly to various questions we had about their proposal before work started, and also to the questions we had as the work progressed. The work was done quickly and efficiently. The crew that worked on our project was very professional and courteous. I am really pleased with the final result and feel that I received a personalized, high quality service.

    JK Marble Maintenance
Initially, they seemed very professional with the quote. We had some natural stone patios that we wanted cleaned and buffed and had asked several marble/stone professionals for quotes. They started the job on time - and in all honesty, they were nice guys.
Downside - in a few days we started noticing that the sealer they put on was uneven and being to already fade. The and quot;newand quot; grout they used started coming off in chunks. In less than a month, our patios looked MUCH WORSE than before. We might as well not have even bothered to have them and quot;clean and polishand quot; - since there are now gouge marks in a lot of the stone (they used this high speed sander looking thing).
They are now completely non-responsive to e-mails or telephone calls. Typical and quot;we got your money - now why bother calling you back to try to fix our shoddy workmanshipand quot;.
They were nice, too bad their work was of such poor quality. If they just slowed down a bit they could have done a better job.
