    Henna By Salma
It was super easy and comfortable to communicate with her. Salma was right on time and brought everything she needed with her. And everyone loved her tattoos! She gave tattoos almost back to back for three hours and still her tattoos looked awesome. People asked her to made henna on their hands, legs, feet, back, shoulders and she made them with a gentle smile with perfection. Her Henna pastes were totally organic as she do NOT use black henna or artificial ingredients and make her henna by herself. She has more than 50 5 star reviews on Yelp. Her work was an instant hit at our party. The Henna stain was awesome.

    USA NAIL & HAIR SALON
Such a great hair salon!! The place is so lovely and pretty. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. And there's complimentary tea, coffee, water, etc. They are totally professional on their work and do an excellent job. I would recommend it to everyone Jessica rocks! She is so nice, it was a great first experience dying my hair.

    Salon Xia
Stefani Hernandez is the person I go to.  I have fine, thin hair.  Stefani does an amazing job.  She is delightful.  I know they are expensive,, but it is worth.  The salon is in an old house and is beautifully decorated.  Great atmosphere and talented staff.

    Sport Clips
They have excellent service. They’re very community oriented. Overall, they’re a really good place to go. I bought a membership so I get 6 haircuts for a discount. They’re very good.

    JIM BRISTOL HAIR STYLIST
My hair has been under Jim's care for the past year since I first visited him to save a bad cut/color job done elsewhere.  I wasn't disappointed then and I continue to be very happy with both the hairstyling and the color work he does with my hair.  The man is a true artist with the shears and really knows his way around color!  And he worked his genius again at my last visit--even though it's been over a month since I saw him, my haircut and color still look great.
I was surprised to notice that someone gave Jim an "f" review.  All I can say is, "come on, you've gotta be kidding! " Jim is the ultimate professional who values his reputation and he never fails to remind me, as I'm leaving the salon, to get back to him if I have any problems.  I've never had to, but have been in the salon when Jim has welcomed back a young client for a re-do---she decided to go shorter than the original instructions---free of charge.  All "A" reviews except for one "F"?  I guess you can't please all of the people all of the time, but there are some people you just can't please----period.  (I'm sorry, Jim, that you were unfortunate enough to encounter such a person.)  Angie's List members:  If you let that review be your guide, you will miss out on great service at the hands of someone who really cares and knows how to do hair magic!

    QUEEN NAILS
My experience at Queen nails was good. I walked in off the street looking for a full set and a spa pedicure. I had to wait a half hour, which didn't bother me as they were busy and I did just walk in. The pedicure was fast and efficient - would have like a bit more of a massage. The spa chairs were comfortable and the girl who did the pedicure was nice and very good with the paint job. For acrylics I wanted a pink and whit (pink powder for the bottoms, white powder for the tips) They don;t do that but they do have white artificial tips and the effect was fine. The man who did the work was very good, took care with how everything looked and took extra time to make sure they looks nice. The price was by far the best part. Spa pedicure and full set with gel polish $54 including tip. Back east the same job would have been $100,so I was happy. I will go there agin.

    JIM BRISTOL HAIR STYLIST
Jim saved the day!  With only a few weeks to go until my only niece's wedding at the end of September,  and a recent disastrous haircut and color job done elsewhere, I found Jim on Angie's List and knew, from his reviews, that if anyone could fix the haircut, he was my guy. When I spoke with Jim on the phone he suggested that if we fixed the cut, the color might be okay and he was right.  He was able to schedule me within a few days of my call and in one hour transformed my hair.  And, he's a great guy, interesting, sensitive and easy to talk to.  Even though I live in Pasadena (recently transplanted from the SF Bay Area) it is worth it to me to drive to Santa Monica to get things done right. And I LOVE his new hair products!  Thank you, Jim!

    LITTLE KUTS
I've been taking my son to Little Kutz for the last two years.  The stylist, Jennifer is amazing, so I kept coming back, but the staff person who sits behind the desk is cold and rude.  Last January we saw Jennifer at a promotional event about a week after my son's last hair cut.  She gave us two $3.00 off coupons for future visits.  We used one at his last haircut in the spring and I brought in the second one for his back-to-school hair cut today.  I handed the coupon over when we came in and Jennifer worked her magic on his hair.  When I went to pay the rude clerk asked where I got the coupon.  I told him that Jennifer gave it to me.  He said that I couldn't use the coupon (with no expiration date) because they made a note the last time I was in that I used a coupon that time.  He said that if I see her at another event I can use a coupon again then but he would not honor the coupon.  Of course, this is after the service was rendered, even though he had the coupon from when I came in.  This place is already quite expensive compared to other kids hair cuts.  I'm not cheap, but I don't like feeling tricked and embarrassed.  I hope that Jennifer goes somewhere else someday so that we may follow her there.  They got my $3 today, but they won't get my $19 in the future.

    Upstairs Salon
It was the worst haircut I have ever had.  First of all, after she washed my hair, she pulled my hair relentlessly during the comb out, tearing a lot of it (judging by the hair in her comb) before she even started cutting.  She must have gone to beauty school in Leningrad (when it was still Leningrad) She had no idea how to comb wet hair.  The haircut itself turned out horrible.  My bangs looked like a goat had chewed them randomly.  I had to go home and cut them really short to even them out.

    Le Petite Retreat day spa
LPR Day Spa is the best I have ever been to.  I visited many times through the years for facials, waxing, and massage.  I took friends and family there and purchased many series of treatments and numerous products, which were all first rate.  I miss it very much and wish that I could "clone" it near my new home.
