Avi from So Cal Builders & Design Inc was our general contractor for our house's addition/expansion. This is the 2nd time we worked with Avi and his team, after he helped us completely remodeled our existing house, we know he is the perfect guy for our phase II of building the addition to our house. Again, Avi is so great to work with! He is very knowledgable on all construction related work and he is always available to help with whatever. He is able to come up with super creative solutions for all our requests/wants, we couldn't be happier with the work from So Cal Builders & Design Inc! My city is pretty strict come to all different types of code, Avi was amazing at managing all the city requests for us, I am glad that he helped with all that stuff for us so we didn't have to worry about anything. The work itself is truly awesome, and Avi and his team are here for us even when the work is completed when we need anything. I completely trust Avi and will for sure recommend him to anyone!

It went better than expected! When my parents decided that the time had come to update their outdated kitchen and bathroom, I began looking for the right company to do the work. There were so many of them that I wondered how I would ever pick one. Then I looked on Angie's List and was very quickly was able to find Creative Home, due to their very high ratings. I read the reviews, looked at the pictures and decided to call. Max Kikos, the Project Manager, came the next day and spent a long while with us discussing the costs, the process, and even the problems we could run into along the way. In other words, he laid it all out on the table, so that there would be no surprises. His thoroughness and professionalism really impressed us, so we decided to give them a try. And we have not regretted it. Max was with us every step of the way, keeping us informed of what was going to happen each day, and who would be involved. And he was true to his word, making sure that things got done when he said they would. And he was a joy to work with. We were also very impressed with his team of workers. All of them, especially Maxim, were very knowledgeable and thorough, and were very quick to deal with any issues we might have had. In the end, there was nothing to complain about and the rooms turned out far better than we had anticipated. We are very satisfied customers and would happily recommend them to anyone looking for a professional company to come into their home and do a great job!

I got him from Angie’s List. I don’t remember the cost, but I remember thinking it was reasonable. I would absolutely use him again and he was very good. He’s a young guy, I think his father originally owned the company. He just did a great job and comes when he says. He did a very nice job and got whatever parts he needed and came back to make it work and all of that, so he was good.

We use Angie's list for this main reason, making sure we find an honest reliable company. We are so happy we found Built Strong Construction, they were great. On time, very professional hard working guys. The work was extremely clean and there's no signs of any construction, as if they weren't here. They repaired our foundation and sagging floors, the bathroom door finally closes! They finished the entire work in just two days and our foundation feels better and sturdier than it's ever been. We would highly recommend Built Strong Construction.

Rooter Alert was very responsive and did a great job in communicating with me during the whole process. They were very professional. They routed an optical camera through my pipes so that we could determine the scope of the work. To my surprise, their analysis concluded that with the exception of one part of the drain, the existing piping was fine (unlike the first vendor who proposed relining 60 feet of piping). Rooter Alert gave me 2 options. One was to just fix the area (an angled joint) where the roots were appearing. The other was to fix that area and reline the pipes from that point to the street (25 feet). I selected the latter and took advantage of their special. Rooter Alert did a professional job starting with their quoting, followed by the signing of the contract, their communications and the work itself. Their people were very courteous and made a point to explain every step of the way as they did the job. I liked that they gave me options and did not push unnecessary work. I was very pleased with Rooter Alert.

It went perfect it was done beautifully.I loved the fact that Cielo they have a good attention to detail. They did state of the art modern architecture to my new construction. They had some of the best architect's draw blue prints and the work talk for it self. Thank you Cielo.

I needed a pool demolished and removed. After researching Angie's List and Yelp for pool removal, I ended up going with Javier Torres. Not only did he show me pictures of pools that he had removed, but he seemed to be the fastest with estimated project completion. When I asked him how he could be 4 days less than his competitors, he said that he would bring in two mini Bobcats to do the job. I mentioned that I had a narrow entrance into the back yard, and that a Bobcat could not fit, and thus why the other had to bring in hand jack hammers. He measured the doorway, and said "Yes, we can get them in. We have small 36" wide Bobcats." Not only did Javier do a great job, he was very good at communicating over text and calls. The soils engineer (a must in Pasadena), Duco Engineering was recommended Javier, also was very quick to do their measurements to speed the job through to completion. He was on site most days, and they complied with Pasadena dust codes. I will be using them again to demo my driveway in the future.

I recently finish an addition and a complete remodel of my house. I hired Daniel's Design & Construction. It was a $ 225,500 project, an addition of a master bedroom, and an outside deck at my backyard, with a view of the mountain ranges. Theoretically, the deck was a very difficult task to complete. There was many things that had to be prepared for it to be done, like getting an approval from the city, but Mark, the contractor took care of everything with the highest commitment. The contractor is very experienced and professional. His workers are respectful, and can be trusted with no doubt.
An overall great experience with this company, I'm happy from what Daniel's Design & Construction have done out of my house, with a relatively low price to the amount of work that as been done.
Thank you Mark , J. Smith.

Couldn't be more pleased with Castle Plumbing. We have a drought tolerant front yard with several well established plants that I was afraid would be destroyed. The team carefully raked back all of the mulch, carefully cut through the weedblock, then laid down tarps to capture all of the dirt they had to dig up. Once finished there was hardly any evidence they had been there. The care they took on my property as well as the fact they made themselves next day service was very, very much appreciated. I wasn't able to be at the house while the work was done, but I was provided with photos throughout the day detailing the work they were doing. Great company to work with!

DO NOT EVER WORK WITH THIS COMPANY! Don't even think about letting them in the door for a quote or negotiation either, as they are not honest. This is the type of company that you hear about and give contractors a bad name. The experience could not have been worse in all phases and I am outlining our experience below for the benefit of others looking to have home improvements performed. Last month we engaged HND to work on repairing our garage. We were assured by our project manager Gary Lototsky that the scope of work was written to include foundation work and remodel of our detached garage. His initial interaction was very pushy to get the contract signed. I've since read in other reviews on Yelp that this is common practice for this company. We should have seen this for what it was and walked away, but we entered the contract with them because the quoted price made sense and we believed the scope was clear. After getting the contract signed, they were extremely eager to start demolition; however, this was to the point of being inconsiderate of our time, as workers showed up to our home unannounced on multiple occasions, arrived earlier or later than scheduled (times when my husband and I did not plan to be home), or with extremely last-minute notice. When we cited poor communication or requested better communication, sometimes we got a response and other times we were ignored. Their idea of customer service was very difficult and did not reflect that our business was appreciated. Often we were simply told "this is how construction projects work" as a response to our concerns rather than them acknowledging that things could be handled better or more professionally. They did not seem to understand that we could not be free at our house with minimal notice, or that making time to be at home meant that they need to meet the time period quoted, as we have more to do than just wait for them. The more concerning point was their lack of awareness for permitting. We live in Pasadena so we were aware just about any work requires permitting and city for approval. However, after agreeing that all work would be permitted appropriately with plans presented both to the city and to us, Gary then days later told us that permits weren't necessary. Then he said an engineer or architect didn't need to be involved to draft plans. Later, after I sought out a building inspector to confirm the needs for permits and terms (because we no longer trusted the company to handle these matters), we got confirmation that permits and engineering would "of course" be involved... treating us as though HND had shown this awareness all along. The final straw for us was this past week when we asked matters to be escalated to supervisors because we felt that our PM was either dishonest or unaware of how to get the job done (or some combination of both). A meeting on Monday yielded Gary's statement in front of me and his supervisor that no plans existed because they had not taken measurements - mind you, this was three weeks into the project after multiple individuals from the company had come to our house and we'd witnessed them taking measurements. We were told that they'd get back to us the next day regarding next steps. Then on Wednesday - after no word on Tuesday (contrary to promises) - we contacted HND ourselves and we were told that Gary was working with an engineer and they had put together plans to show us but to give them some time to discuss. Mind you, he never came back to take the measurements that he supposedly did not have as recently as Monday, so it appeared he had lied to us in front of the supervisor. By Friday we still heard or saw nothing but got another supervisor (customer service manager David Kaufman) to call us back and we established a meeting in-person. We had no sense of timeline and had not been presented plans for the work to be done - although they've been quick to do demolition work. We had our in-person meeting and were instead told that the contract was not properly scoped to include framing and structural work that would need occur in order to get the city to approve the work. Then the kicker was that he said we hadn't given them plans for completing the work. Yes, I said that right - they claimed that we had not given them the engineering plans for them to give to city so that HND could perform under the contract. And after we reminded him that we were not contractors, the work was for them, and the company had promised to do this, we were told that they would lose too much money under the existing scope of work if they were going to carry out the contract. Accordingly, they had no plans to complete the work or move forward. So not only is the communication poor once they get you to sign, this company does not respect their own contracts and more importantly does not respect their customers. The frustration we have felt this past month has been overwhelming and the repairs still are not performed! In fact, they've left a mess in our garage from the demolition they performed mind you without a permit (see photos). At this point HND has refunded our deposit and has refused to complete the work they contracted to do because it would cost them too much money! PLEASE DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!
