    A3 Hi-Pressure Cleaning Svcs
I highly recommend George and his company for cleaning. He was professional, a great communicator, detailed oriented, transparent with his pricing for services rendered and responsive. He provided a written estimate for the work I wanted performed. He kept me informed on when the work would be scheduled. He arrived as promised. He thoroughly cleaned the specified areas. I will definitely hire George and his company for future cleaning projects.

    Superior Awning Inc
We called Superior Awning and made an appointment to get an estimate on having a new awning installed. Kyle arrived on time to give us the estimate. We showed him where we wanted the awning and what we wanted. He showed us various pictures of the types of awning available and showed us samples of  the colors and patterns. He did not bring a latter to measure the area, so I went into the garage and brought him a ladder. After measuring the area, he wrote down what we wanted and what it would cost. I looked at his hand written estimate and we agreed on the price (inlcuding an Angie's List courtesy discount). I then asked him for a copy of the estimate and he told me he would email it to me the next day. After two days, I contact Superior to ask about the estimate; within a day Kyle emailed me the estimate. Unfortunately the price listed was not the price we had discussed, so I sent him an email asking him about the price. He sent me a revised estimate; I agreed to the price and asked that we schedule the work.

After several days of not hearing from Kyle, I phoned Superior Awning to ask if they could get us another salesperson, because Kyle was obviously too busy and with warm weather approaching, I wanted the work done as soon as possible. Instead they had Kyle  contact me again. He left me a message, letting me know he had car trouble (accident?) which is why he had not contacted me. He then sent me an email message letting me know I had to provide credit card information before they could schedule the work. So, I called Superior to give them my credit card information. The person who answered looked up the agreement, but it still had the wrong price. I told her that the price was not correct and she told me she did not have the updated estimate, so she asked me to email her my copy and then I gave her my credit card information. After several days (1 week?) they called to schedule the actual work.

We were given a specific time for installation (between 10am and 2pm). At 1:30pm on the scheduled day, their workers had not shown up, so we called the office to make sure they would be there. The woman told us they were running late, but they would be there by 2pm. The workers finally arrived at 3:30pm, never calling us to let us know. When they arrived they were confused about where the awning was going to be installed, telling us they would have to relocate our porch light. We told them the awning was not being installed by the porch light, so they would not have to relocate it. When they started installing the awning we noticed it was not what we had ordered: we order an awning without side panels. They continued to install it and realized the measurements were wrong, which meant they had to move our gutters!! That same evening I send the company an email message indicating all the problems and that they needed to fix these problems: side panels and awning dimension.

After a couple of days I get a call from their office asking if we were available on the following Tuesday for their workers to come remove the awning and then available a couple of days after that to reinstall it. I asked what they were going to do, since she had not mentioned they had received my email or review what I had written. She said they were going to fix the awning and replace it. I agreed and the person who came out to remove it immediately noticed the problems (they were not subtle issues). The person who came back a couple of days later was very personable and professional and left only after we said we were satisfied. The awning looks great and we love it once it now that it was installed properly.

Their customer service needs some training. We've had many contractors in the past and we understand that mistakes are made. It's the response of the customer service that can either fix the problem or make it worse. In this case, Superior Awning's customer service, for our situation, was bad and made the situation worse. Also, why would Kyle (owner's son?) arrive to give an estimate without a latter, especially since he is about 5'5" tall and obviously not tall enough to measure roof lines without the help of a ladder?

    LJ Hausner Construction Co

For many years we planned on upgrading our backyard and shopped around for a company to install a patio cover.  L. J. Construction advertised locally and seemed to have exactly what we were searching for.  Their sales rep. came out on a Saturday, discussed our budget, and was able to fit our patio with exactly what we envisioned within the budget.  Their office manager, Matt, met our installation target. Matt was kind enough to notify me they had a cancellation and asked if I would like to move up our installation date.  We had our new pergola installed to our specifications, within budget, and installed by a very professional team.  They arrived on time and finished the job beautifully.  The installers did a great job.  Our patio looks like new and we'll be able to enjoy it for years to come.  Thanks, L.J. Hausner Construction.  I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for patio covers, fencing, vinyl windows, etc.  They were just great!

I first visited the store/showroom in person and was delightfully met by Chris. She was very helpful and knowledgeable. Once I told her what I was looking for she presented the options that would fit my needs. We then set up an appointment for her installed to visit our home to measure the location and present options. I received a detailed quote in the mail a few days later. I then placed my order and waited for the custom awning to arrive. I made several calls and finally it arrived (about 6 weeks, which was what was originally quoted). We made an appointment to install it and it was installed promptly. Everything looked and worked great. I made an inquiry to have my mechanical handle color match the mechanism color and Chris said she would look into it.

Great service. I went in thinking and prepared to have them re-make my umbrella. I took the old one and the umbrella post with me for sizing. They suggested that I didn't need a new one made. The old one could be repaired for VERY LITTLE cost and provide years more service. They did the work in a week. I got the umbrella back repaired, reinstalled on the post, dusted of and nicely wrapped to take home. Enjoying the summer shade!

    American Patio Masters
Lynn Taylor of American Patio Masters was a pleasure to deal with.  At our first meeting, he thoroughly explained the process and the options for a new aluminium patio cover and gave an estimate of cost.  He doesn't give a high pressured sales presentation.  He comes across as very relaxed and soothing.  We considered another offer for the same product but decided to go with American Patio Masters because we felt that Lynn seemed very trustworthy and his price was somewhat better.
When we signed the contract, we asked for about a 2 month delay which, as it turned out, was perfect timing for him as well.  One of our pieces (the solid cover) was a special order and he had a lot of other jobs lined up.  On the appointed day, Lynn and his crew of two men showed up and started the demolition which took one day.  The next two days, the crew of two erected the new cover.  They were pleasant and professional and did everything very well.  The project was completed on schedule and on budget.
After completion I noticed a few details that I wanted to have done differently.  There were two small details but one more major one. When faced with the difficulty of fitting a solid piece of the patio cover into a tight squeeze, the crew had decided to shorten it.  It looks odd having the solid portion being a different length than the slatted portion.  When I pointed out the offending details to Lynn he immediately said they could fix everything for no cost to us.  He even came up with a good plan to lengthen the shortened solid cover.  After talking it over, my husband and I decided not to go ahead with the fix on the solid cover but to have the remaining details fixed. Within a couple of days, one of the crew showed up and fixed everything I had pointed out.
Our experience with American Patio Masters was positive from beginning to end.  If I had it to do over again, I would still choose them for our project but I would pay more attention to the crew when they are doing the erection and discuss with them any decisions they have to make.  We should have had better communication at that time.

Our landscape designer recommended this company, but our experience with Pasadena Awning has been entirely disappointing. When we initially made our deposit in the autumn of 2010, the sales person, Dave Lopez, told us Pasadena Awning would order our awnings and have them ready to go. However, they did not actually place the order for our awnings, so when we were ready for them, we had to wait a month for them to be made. This was our first sign of something amiss--who takes a deposit and then doesn't place the order as promised? Scheduling installation was another delay. Rather than asking customers when they are available, Pasadena Awning calls less than 24 hours in advance and announces when they'll be coming. We are a household of working adults, so of course this method does not work for us. Once they finally did the installation, the awnings did not work properly, and one does not work at all. It's been almost two months since our awnings were installed, and they still aren't functional. Vanessa and the other office staff just take endless messages, but Dave, who seems to handle repairs, never returns phone calls. We have received nothing but a run-around from the staff, and fear that our brand new, never-working awning may never actually work--at a cost of 2k to us. We spent $6k on electric blinds, and definitely wish we had sourced them from a responsive, responsible company, not from this disorganized, slow, unresponsive business.

    American Patio Masters
I guess they had worked out o.k. Eventually, the job got completed in an adequate period of time. I had one of these screen room/patios before and it ended up falling apart so well see. I feel I got my money's worth for the amount of work that was done.
