  • It went very well though there were a couple of small concerns after the work was done. After my contacting the office and explaining these concerns, they were immediately addressed to my complete satisfaction. I would definitely have them do more tree work for me if needed.

  • The tree was so tall that they had to bring in a cherry picker because of the shape of our lot. It was expensive. It was like $2300 but we had to have somebody that knew what they were doing to do it.  It was just a huge tree. They cleaned up afterwards. I am going to give them a B partly because they called but they sometimes got here may have been that they couldn't do it when they were going to do it because they couldn't get the big cherry picker. They must have had to rent it because I don't think they had it. This was one huge tree. Mostly it was good but I didn't do much research. I just looked on Angie's List and they were there so I said, 'Okay'. It is the time thing but I think that the time delay was probably related to the fact that they had to get this cherry picker thing. This is the only time we've ever had to deal with a tree service. Nothing to compare it to. They explained what they were doing. They did it. Would I use them? Absolutely, but I would check with others. If I had to have that same thing done, I would absolutely have them do it.

  • The estimate came in writing via email, and all communication after that was with an office person, Nicole. I emailed specifying which parts of the estimate I wanted done (work on another tree was cancelled). As another reviewer wrote, their internal communication was not good. Crew did not know part of job had been cancelled, neither did the billing person so I got a bill for work that wasn't done. My biggest problem, though, is that instead of cutting the tree one section at a time and lowering it, they felled it all at once to fall into my driveway. Right next to the tree, between it and the driveway, was a 30 year old 4-foot tall beautiful, healthy juniper that over the years I've trimmed in a bonsai style. This poor juniper was crushed by the falling tree, with a good half of it now a pile of broken branches. I sent an email to Nicole about this problem, was told Scott would come by and look at it and "make it right," but three weeks have gone by and I haven't heard from him. Also, the crew unnecessarily trampled other plants in the yard, crossing rock flower bed edging to take short-cuts to the truck rather than taking the gravel path.

  • Tom and his crew removed a huge old oak tree that had rotted out from the inside and dropped across another oak.  If that other tree had not been there the failed tree would have done major damage to our house.  The job was complicated because our lot slopes down from the street making it impossible to use their normal equipment.
His crew arrived on time and spent a busy day safely removing that tree and cleaning up the mess.  It was a joy watching his crew work.  They had obviously all been together for quite a while and they knew what they were doing.
Tom also checked all the other trees on the property to make sure that they were healthy.
I would absolutely recommend him if you need any tree work.

  • Tommy is very popular because he is very good so I knew it would take a few weeks before he could come.  I wanted my curly willow trimmed more than just the dead wood, but he very respectfully explained to me that it would kill the tree because it was already leafing out, so he could only take out the dead wood.  He promised to come back in the fall to trim it back like I wanted.  I liked the way he explained it.  Not condescending at all, just very diplomatic. The trio of guys were very cohesive, seemed to work together very well and like each other.  I found that Tommy and one of them were brothers and the other was his nephew so that made sense, but it was still clear Tommy was in charge and the other two seemed to know what he needed before he needed it.  I felt very safe and had the feeling that everything was very safe and handled by the crew.  To me they were careful, when I saw one with a cigarette and said I had asthma, I never saw another cigarette.  I also never saw attitude because of it.  All of them were very friendly, thoughtful of my safety, never negative, always smiling, friendly, smiling, very sweet guys.  I almost never tip, but this time I did!! I would have these guys back again any time.  I wish they did other work.  I gave them pieces of the curly willow for walking sticks after showing them the one I made.  Hire these guys.  Your yard will be cleaner than before they came!

  • I needed my tall English elm hedge trimmed down in several sections. Due the 15 foot height others did not want to do the job.
I called Aaron, he came out, looked it over. He said although it was very tall he had the equipment to take care of the job. He came out and quickly trimmed the tops which looked difficult due to the leaning and stretching he had to do to reach the whole area.
He completed the job so quickly I had him trim out some Olive trees that were getting wild looking. These were also very tall.
He completed those and they looked great!
He cleaned up all the trimmings and hauled them away.
I gave him a $15 tip for his efforts. I will definitely give him a call when trimming is needed again. I liked his professional and "can do" attitude. I have no complaints at all to pass on.

  • Derek and his crew were professional, easy to work with and extremely hard working even in the heat of the summer.  They made changes as requested, offered invaluable input on what would look good, and what would not work. They started and finished in a reasonable time frame with only a few unavoidable mechanical glitches.  They were respectful of our privacy and our property.  They worked harder than any group of workers I've seen in this neighborhood.  I have had them back once for an additional project ans I have another scheduled for after the summer season.  I would highly recommend Derek for any project big or small in his field.of expertise.

  • Combines work with neighbors but doesn't seem to pass any efficiencies along in the price. Hard to judge how much time spent on my property since much was spent on neighbors hillside. It is difficult and hazardous work so glad to have someone else do it.

  • Jeb Showed up on time.  He was friendly, professional and very clear about what needed to be done. He brought in a small backhoe that could move around the edge of the pond and was exceedingly careful of trees and stepping stones.  His helper called in sick so it took him two days but he never quibbled about price, even though the job and the muck turned out to be much more than he had bargained for.  I loaned him a couple of tools.  He was careful to clean the worksite each day, clean the tools, put everything where I asked him to and there were piles of muck.  I offered an extra hundred to find the drain hole.  That took him two days.  He never gave up, no matter how deep or messy the muck, never swore that I heard, even when his pump let loose and showered him with muck, he just kept on going.  His helper called in sick the next day also so he did this huge job alone.  At the end I asked him if he was finished and he said not until I checked everything and I told him he was finished.  I would highly recommend this man for any landscaping job.  He said he also builds retaining walls, new ponds, entire landscapes, etc.  I see his business has a Facebook page too.  I have another job for him in the near future.

  • About half of my large backyard had become overgrown with ivy and brush. Aaron's removed all the ivy and brush thoroughly. The ivy was pulled out by the roots, not just cut down. They worked very hard to remove all the debris and i was very satisfied with the completed job.
