    Preferred Roofing Co
I recently purchased a home knowing that I needed to replace a 30-year old shingle roof and likely some work done on the fascia boards, which were hidden behind metal fascia covers. It goes without saying that a new roof is a significant home project that you want done correctly, especially considering the investment. I read up on what to look for online and arranged to get proposals from multiple companies. From the beginning, I was very impressed with the professionalism of Preferred Roofing. It is obvious that they stand behind the quality and craftsmanship of any home they work on! Aaron came to my house, took all the requisite measurements and evaluated the condition of the existing roof. He was on time, knowledgeable and extremely helpful throughout the process. He went the extra mile for an excellent outcome. In fact, Aaron and his crew were able to help solve an issue I had with my older AC base. Without a doubt, they are solution oriented. Aaron was regularly in contact with me and explained what was necessary as the worked progressed the company provided exceptional customer service and are very responsive. I had a new cool roof installed and it is absolutely beautiful. The quality is outstanding. During the removal of the old roof, it was discovered that numerous pieces of wood on the roof deck indeed needed replacing, as did about half of the fascia boards. All the terms were upfront so there were no unexpected surprises. The foreman was competent and skilled, as were all the workers. Everyone was friendly and courteous. The crew was there on-time every morning and cleaned up the work site every afternoon. I never saw a nail on the driveway! Although the bid for the work was more expensive than others I received, the workmanship was well worth the cost. I would definitely utilize their services again but I doubt I will ever need to do that! They gave me an amazing roof. I had an extremely positive experience with this company and highly recommend them.

I told Richard from day 1 I did not want to cut any corners. The first 2 days his crew was 1 guy. He put wood that had been previously used on outside sitting somewhere for who know how long. I told him I did not want it but he said its too bad. I have enclosed pictures of wood and the different seams and does that look like a new roof? I spoke to the roofing company and they did very little according to IB Roofing best practice installation. About 30 different nails a half inch through my garage roof. A newly painted area a number of nails through the roof and never offered to paint or fill the holes. Anyways I may add more detail later as I think how I can overcome this sub par roofing job that at best is handyman work.

    California Construction Center
I had a lot of different work that was needed at my house and California Construction Center pulled through on every one with absolute craftsmanship. All work preformed was done in a timely manner, as agreed upon with no surprises. I had 2 other companies come out to bid the job and CCC was the one who seemed like they were listening to what I wanted, how I wanted it and without trying to tell me what I should be doing or anything like that. Here are the details: New roof and exterior house painting was completed in about a week and boy did my house need some TLC. The eves around the house were replaced and a lot of stucco work done on the exterior walls. Looks like a completely different house and they even matched the roof tiles and color of my new Tuff Shead for that "finished" look. Backyard Tuff Shead; Installed sub-panel with 4 interior can ceiling lights and A/C outlets. Did install of insulation and then drywall with mud. It's ready for me to paint. Absolutely fantastic job. I'm having them come back to finish the exterior door installs and then the work will be done. That was the work, now for the personal review.... I enjoyed working with my contractor for the job Ben Edri. When I had an issue (i.e. gas was accidentally shut off when earthquake sensor was knocked) I called (it was a Sat.) and I was entertaining guests, within an hour he had a guy out there to make sure my water heater was lit. When I noticed that some touch up work was needed on the paint job, his guys were 'Johnny on the spot' and I had my garage door re-painted to my liking and other touch ups done by the end of the week. All in all, all of the workmen who worked on site were professional, respectful, and cared about the work they were doing. Working in the entertainment industry for over 20 years, you get used to a higher standard when it comes to the work that you do and I could see that they were professional craftsmen. i would definitely hire again.

EXCELLENT! Communication is key and Asher is constantly communicating expectations and timelines. He also checks and double-checks the work being requested to avoid delays, confusion, or unnecessary work.He listened to our requests and offered suggestions for value, stability, and style. We shared our entire plan with him even though we did not have the budget to do it all at once, and he suggested an order to do the work to set us up for success for each additional project. He was timely and professional. We give him our highest recommendation and know you will find him just as pleasurable to work with as we have.

    Eric's Roofing Inc
Although they had to come twice...the initial visit for maintenance and then a follow-up, Eric and his Team did a nice job.  He and his Team are extremely busy, so expect to wait, wait for a few weeks before any work is actually done.  But worth it.  Eric is attentive.

    Landmark Energy Upgrades
My energy bills were going through the roof around seven months ago and I was pretty sure that there weren’t any energy leaks but decided to get an inspection on exactly what was going wrong anyway. After contacting quite a few energy efficiency companies, I came across LA Landmark Energy Upgrades and was relieved. They were educated, informed about the mainstream and alternative options. They weren’t pushy selling their services, but really cared for my situational needs. After an extensive evaluation and analysis, they suggested going for an energy efficient roof. I was hesitant to go through with it at first... with more expenses. Yet, I realized that the long term investment would be well worth it... and months later, I can say it truly was!!! After the installation, I saw that the bills came down by a huge margin.

    Mega Group Builders

We have never had any issues with our current roof so we did question why it needed to be redone. We were told that it would improve energy efficiency because they were going to install a "cool roof" which is now required in California as of January 2015. This stipulation actually isn't required for me because I do not have attic, which I informed the provider of. Ron and Dex (roofer) took some pictures of the roof and Dex was also in the home to look at our ceilings. We have high-beamed, cathedral ceilings so there isn't any room for an attic. Both my son and my husband were in the living room while Dex and I walked through the house. Ron continued his apprisial from the outside. The quoted price for the roof was $16,999 plus tax, which came to $17,999. I was given all these promises about the improvements that this roof would make to my house and it actually has done the opposite.

Ron called to inform me there was no getting out of the roof job...He came over telling us we were not getting out of this contract. and then came to 14,500.00 fully aware he told us he would charge us money for workers and roofing material on the phone.

t turns out that the roof that was installed was actually a thin inexpensive amber  shingle residential roof.. We have a slightly curved, flat roof so there is no insulation or protective reflector barrier. It was just a tar roof. Because we don't have any insulation or any of the other necessities (radiant barrier, etc.) the roof actually amplifies the heat in the house rather than reflecting like it would with an attic. Even with our fans and air conditioning unit running the temperature in the house stays around 90 degrees. Both my husband any myself have had stints in the hospital (he was in shortly after the roof was finished and I was in a few nights ago) due to dehydration. This roof was installed incorrectly from the get go and wasn't appropriate for my house.

We definitely feel like we were scammed by someone who does have a good local reputation as we are now out many thousands of dollars, have had health scares, and still had to have another company in to correct the roof.

Ron scammed me on the gutters which he quote $ 6,900 but gave me a discount of $3,900.00. I later learned the disturbing news they were not as what he quoted. The other roof estimates told me I would have been charged  $600.00 tops.

We talked to the provider in person a few days after the project was finished with questions about the heat in our home. Everything else was working correctly so we were concerned. Our questions were ignored. I placed a call shortly after this inquiring about the paperwork. I was told it would be 2-3 weeks before it would arrive, we have since exceeded this timeframe and we still don't have the requested paperwork.

    Preferred Roofing Co
During the last rain we discovered we needed a new roof when we noticed there was a waterfall in our kitchen.
One of the company's we contracted was Preferred Roofing Inc. and they came out immediately.  Their bid was extremely fair so we hired them on the spot and are we glad we did.  It was a three day job.  The workers were there early each morning and worked the whole day.
Having the roof leak had caused some other problems.  Turns out we had some wood rot in several areas.  At first I thought I can't handle another problem.  Well I didn't have to. Preferred Roofing Inc. helped us find a contractor to do the replacement work.  I was very grateful that they were there to help us with this issue.
It was a very professional group of men. From the office staff to the workers they answered every question we had.  When they finished the project there was no sign of them being here.  The cleanup was incredible.  They even had a large magnet that they went over the yard with to be sure all old nails were picked up.
Preferred Roofing Inc. is being put into our permanent home repairs file.  If anyone I know ever needs a roof I'll have their phone number at my finger tips.
Thanks to everyone from Preferred Roofing Inc. for all the help they gave us.

    California Construction Center
The cost of the bathroom includes the cost of the material that I wanted to use.  The labor cost was approximately $12,000.
The acrylic shower stall was taken out and we discovered that the floor boards were damaged beyond repair.  New wood was installed where it was needed, which was on the floor and around the shower. Leveling cement was poured and later the shower was tiled from the ceiling to the floor.  A wonderful recessed shampoo shelf was tiled with the matching floor tile that contrasted with those used on the shower walls.   I ordered a new vanity but was having difficulty in finding a matching linen cabinet.  A cabinet was built for me to be recessed in the walls.  It matches beautifully with the vanity.  Recessed lighting above the shower was installed along with a humidity sensor ventilation fan.  A made to order frameless shower door will be installed soon and the bathroom will the done.
I am very happy with the work that was done and will be using this company to paint, replace floor baseboards and lay new flooring thru out the house, in the near future.

    Van Zandt Roofing Inc
A whole house re-roofing down to the studs is not something to do lightly. After getting several quotes, we decided to go with Van Zandt Roofing since they were referred by our longstanding HVAC provider -- as the HVAC also was being replaced at the same time. We were onsite and living inside during this entire process and learned a whole lot about what goes into this process. One crew does the teardown and disposal. Then a roofing crew comes in and reconstructs everything.
There was a job captain on site every day and the crews took great care to keep disruption to a minimum although there will be some bent plants, some random tile pieces, and a nail or two found months afterwards. That's just to be expected. Keith was experienced and made valuable recommendations about the choice of product in response to specific concerns relative to our home. After living through the reroofing for ten months now, we are pleased with the end result.
