    SC Contractors
SC contractor had been working on a large project on my neighbor's property for a couple weeks. They seemed very professional and my neighbor was happy with them so I asked them to give me a quote on a retaining wall.
Sef came over and gave me a quote. After comparing with 3 other contractors I found him very competitive, plus I knew that it would be professional as I had seen his work.
As his price was under budget, we decided to add a curved concrete staircase and add a few steps on the side of the property.

Sef did not request any money upfront and promised me he would not go over what we had agreed on. They started when they said they would and worked very hard for a week. Sef took care of scheduling everything. The sub contractors he hired (concrete delivery, pumping, and stucco) were very professional. As a matter of fact his stucco team was better than the one my GC had hired on another project.
The wall and stairs came out better than expected. Even a few months after the work has been done, I'm still very impressed by the quality of their work.

I already recommended them to a couple of my neighbors and will certainly use them again if I need concrete work.

Stone Age Design & Build Inc
After remodeling two bathrooms with Stone Age, we decided to take on the kitchen. Since Stone Age did a terrific job with the bathrooms we felt very comfortable with them also remodeling the kitchen.
Do to the age of the house, almost 60 years, we knew we'd have issues with the floor not being level, code issues from previous owners, and plumbing work replacement so we anticipated spending more than the estimate. Remember the estimate is only for the work the contractor can see, not what they find after demo. Well, we had our share of surprises and then some once the plaster was removed. The good news is once you see how bad it is, you know this is the best time to spend the extra money to get it done right and not have to worry about it going forward.
The one thing we didn't anticipate was having to replace the ceiling. In order to save on costs, we kept the ceiling and the soffits and ordered cabinets to fit under the soffits. Unfortunately once the floor was replaced and leveled, the ceiling needed replacement so it would be level with the floors. Simply adjusting the ceiling to be level with the floors wasn't so simple which meant full replacement. In retrospect, if we knew the ceiling would need replacing, we'd have ordered upper cabinets that were six inches taller. Lou could see how disappointed we were with this situation. He assured us his team would make it look good and that we'd be happy with the outcome. Sure enough, true to his word, Lou made it right. And we're very happy with the results.
Lou and the Stone Age team do great work. They have high standards and strong attention to detail. When crafting our kitchen soffits, Lou wasn't happy with the first results so he had them done over and fine tuned until they were perfect. Lou will see things that the homeowner doesn't see. He has experience and knowledge and a sense of design. You will not go wrong if you choose Stone Age for your next construction project.

    FLORES R C MASONRY
We have used Simon before and based on that experience called him again. He helped us with design and also recommended lighting which made a big difference in kitchen appearance. His crew was on time and cleaned up after work each day. They did a super job at a fair price.

The front yard and drive way. Their work looks beautiful but was done improper causing water damage to the interior of the house that was extensive. It took months with machines in the house to dry it out before having to rebuild and new flooring. Two letters were sent to him for the expense of just the drying process, not the labor and materials to rebuild the whole area. He was expected to take responsibility for the damage he caused by his work. The first was ignored. The second was also. To this date, he has not paid one cent but charged me thousands for work that caused thousands worth of damage.

    Revive Landscape Construction
Having endured previous projects where both the estimated time and budget were easily doubled; we were very picky in finding the right person for our next project. Not only did we find someone who completed all the work on time, and on budget(in spite of all the add-ons we requested);we found someone who truly takes great pride in his work. Jason clearly has a passion, and a vision for all aspects of landscape design and construction. He carefully chose plants that walked the delicate line between responding to our requests, and plants that would thrive in our unique environment. I can say with great confidence that the entire process with Revive was a pleasure in every aspect. Words can't begin to describe how much I love the completed project. All of Jason's crew were very neat, friendly, professional, and hardworking. I couldn't have asked for a better outcome and experience. We plan on doing a complete renovation of our backyard. Jason will definitely be the first person we call!

The work looked beautiful. The crew was prompt and professional but faulty work was performed causing extensive flooding and mold in our home. Flooring, carpet and walls needed to be torn out and repaired as a result of this faulty work. Pierce repaired the problem and the flooding ceased. Personal contact and letters were sent to Pierce with the bill for the mold repair which took months of machines to dry the area then be treated. He has yet to be responsible and pay the bill. We cannot recommend him to others if he is not responsible for the damages caused by his work.

    SC Contractors
Excellent!  Very happy with George and SC Construction.  George provided a quote and time estimate.  All work was done on time and on budget (wish all contractors were like this) and any requests were met with "no problem".  George also ensured we were very happy with all aspects of the project.  He and his crew were professional, showed up on time and cleaned up daily.

We had asked eight different general contractors to submit estimates/bids for our full house interior remodeling project. All contractors were selected from Angie's list or/and yelp, all with excellent reviews and ratings. Being full time working parents of two young kids, and having a very little experience with house remodeling, ultimately we were looking for a contractor/crew the we could trust to execute on time and close to a proposed budget (and without "sweeping anything under a rug"). The estimate from Stone Age Designs was the most detailed and the easiest to understand. It was also the least ambiguous of all eight estimates that we've received (the labor costs were separated from the materials allocations and the estimated prices of materials were clearly identified). Moreover, Lou Philippe and his crew of Stone Age Designs invested by far the most time in measuring our house, and discussing what exactly we would like to do prior to submitting their bid. We ended up selecting Lou Philippe and Stone Age Designs for our project, and now, almost two month after the end of the project, we could not be happier with their work.
The project took three month two complete (very closed to the originally plan). The entire process went very smoothly. No surprises! Throughout the project we had been in constant communication with Lou via email and text. He was extremely responsive: quick email replies any time of the day or night, very detailed invoicing, and always willing to spend time to answer questions. We had regular meetings (typically once a week) at the house, to discuss and inspect the progress, as well as to plan for the next week. Throughout the project,  Lou was a tremendous help with selecting materials (tiles, hardwood, paint, accessories, etc). Based on our selections, he did most of the purchasing and hauling himself. In addition, Lou took care of all the permitting, inspections and other city related headaches (with absolutely no delays to our great satisfaction). Moreover, Lou helped us a lot with elements of interior design (I probably should not say "he helped us" but rather write he "did" the design). We had shown him several inspiration shots of what final look of the house we desire. Based on our inspiration photographs, Lou prepared three different layouts, complete with 3D renderings. Similarly for master and kids bathrooms, he offered us at least 8 different layouts. Once we finalized the layouts, the crew quickly went to work. Often, they had to work around the material availability, as we managed to select few of the tile and plumbing products that required an extended shipping time. Both, kitchen and bathrooms were build very quickly (that is including custom cabinets and vanities). The crew was at the house six days a week (and sometimes seven), often working 10 hour days and then more. Both Lou and the crew members did show extreme attention to details. For example, after the interior of the house was painted they didn't just move on, but instead went around the house and carefully inspected and marked all (even the littlest) of the defects that required re-work. Similar inspection was done at the very end of the project. The payment schedule was NOT front loaded by any means, and seemed quite reasonable. Towards the end of the project they surprised us by performing few upgrades that we didn't ask for completely free of charge (e.g. install new doors for a hallway closet doors, extra smooth painting, some additional electrical work in the garage) The crew was very respectful and a pleasure to deal with (for example, whenever we were walking around the house, inspecting the progress, they would always pause and offer explanations of what there were busy with at the moment). At the day of the project completion, we found the house to be sparkling clean and ready for moving in (the windows and mirrors were wiped, the floors vacuumed, they even power washed the back yard and our drive way).  The stone age designs also came back few weeks after we moved in to do a quick inspection, and replaced a faulty faucet.  We are very happy with the quality of the work and overall experience.
Thank you very much, Stone Age Designs!

The crew was professional and friendly and responsive when I asked
questions. Bill provided a great solution for the interface with an
existing wall that other contractors who bid did not address. Bill
followed up after the job to ensure satisfaction. Wall turned out great!
    Total professional
    experience.
