    Lacy, Dr. Joseph R
My husband got very seriously ill, and it was awful.  It was scary, because he could have died.  I told him not to worry and I found him a good doctor across the bay.   I took him there all the time for his appointments.  The very first day a nurse stayed with my husband and I went to the doctor’s office, it was quite a good office.  He said I am extremely articulate and smart girl, so he said I am going to be my husband’s nurse and if I don’t think I can do it, he asked me to call him on his home phone number or the office number.  He said I should be his nurse, and he thought I could do it.  He wanted me to take class on CPR, and I did it.  My husband got a very rare disease, he didn’t work for 4 months and he lost 40 pounds.  He was skinny.  He couldn’t see, and couldn’t talk, unless he lied flat on his back and it was very hard to understand.  He couldn’t swallow, except for the liquids.  It was disgusting how they fed him in the hospital, it was liquid, but it just wouldn’t go down.  I nursed him back and everything worked out right and he is fine now.  He was a very good doctor.  He also treated my dad in the middle of the night.  My dad had a mini stroke, and we called him in the middle of the night and he asked us to meet him at his clinic. That was long ago when I was at home. He was at Palo Alto Medical Foundation.

    Dunn, Dr. Jeffrey E.
He was absolutely fabulous, and people fly just to go see him. He has good staff, spends a lot of time with patients, and he really cares about his patients. He does run a little late on his appointments, but thats only because he will answer anything you have a question about and takes the best care of his patients.

    Neuroscience Clinic
The neuroscience dept. at 300 Pasteur Dr. is well-organized, adequately staffed (a miracle, in this day and time), and smooth-running. Staffers are pleasant and professional, and patient-focused. Dr. Shuer's Physician Assistant is terrific -- very warm, friendly, and reflecting of his leadership and values (treat people with respect, compassion, and kindness; answer their questions fully; be sensitive to unasked questions as well; etc.) If you've ever had the misfortune to have to go to the Stanford Pain Clinic, you'll have a hard time believing neuroscience is in the same building. They are polar opposites in how they treat people, from the first phone call to the last follow-up appointment!

    Palo Alto Medical Foundation
I have had a positive experience with them so far. I have used them for multiple things. They are one of the first places to have sports medicines in the country. They schedule their patients well. Their charges at urgent care are much lower compared to other emergency care places. The office environment is top notch. They have electronic medical records, and they are up to date. My others doctors outside can get the details quickly. Overall it is a beautiful place.

    Robert Fisher MD,PHD
Considering it's a stressful situation to begin with, Dr. Fisher is very low key and makes me feel OK about everything. He is also very friendly.

He's very caring and pragmatic. He listens to me extremely well. I feel that he is encouraging but doesn't over due it.

    Joelson, Dr. Ealon
He asks great questions. He is a teacher. I like that he smiles a lot and jokes around, not in an uncomfortable manner. He is very good.
