Jason and crew are the best! They are experts and also think creatively to solve complicated problems. Other plumbers had told me the radiant heating pipes in my concrete slab would be damaged when the kitchen sink pipe underneath our concrete slab had to be replaced. Jason and team worked extremely carefully and managed to avoid hurting any of the radiant heating pipes, even though they were hidden inside the concrete slab and there were a lot of them in the area where they had to work. Jason also figured out how to avoid wrecking my floors - other plumbers said there was no way to prevent us from having to replace the flooring in three rooms after the repair! Jason is a pro and does very high quality work. He and his team are very considerate, knowledgeable and careful in their work. They saved us tons of money that we would have had to spend repairing our radiant heating pipes and replacing our floors. I'm very grateful.

The repair man came the next day, diagnosed the problem, explained the options and applied a remedy. It has been 3 weeks since his visit and all is well. All for a modest fee. We are VERY pleased with this service.

We've used Setter for various jobs, but the two bigger ones were for a stove hood installation and drywall/painting of our garage. For the hood install, Setter found us someone to install our hood after I had many failed attempts on my own and was even willing to work with our electricians and roofers to coordinate the project. They are always prompt in responding via their app and happy to jump on a call if needed. We love that the pros they use are always professional and we trust them enough to have them to certain jobs even when we're not home which is immensely helpful with our busy schedules. Their prices are reasonable and their project coordinators have years of knowledge and have given us lots of helpful advice when scoping out projects.

Hector is amazing. Our Triangle Tube condensing boiler, which supplies both domestic hot water and central heating hot water to our Eichler, failed on a Friday evening. Hector came to fix it on Saturday morning. He replaced a sensor in just a few minutes and it's working perfectly. We are thrilled to have found such a great guy to be able to rely on for our future needs.

Boris was very professional and responsive. He was very clear about his prices up front. He fixed the problem quickly and made sure I knew what to do in the future to avoid issues. He had a cheerful attitude and did not overcharge for his service. I would definitely hire Boris again- he is fair and honest!

I had been having bad luck trying to get competent repair people to fix my 20 year old stackable Maytag washer/dryer. The dryer's fine. The washer wasn't filling. Three Sears repair people had tried and couldn't fix it. I was just about to give up and buy a new one, when yesterday, I decided to try Angie's List and I called Luan Pham. It was 2:00 in the afternoon. He said he could be available at 4:00. Same day! He showed up on time. Diagnosed the problem. He had the parts in his truck. Within an hour it was working. He was very professional and reasonably priced. I know who I'll be calling and referring. Luan Pham. Thanks Luan. Thanks Angie's List.

    Everlast Construction
Had our condo master bathroom remodeled and the finished product was amazing. We met with David and the project manager over the job and they were very professional. We actually left town to allow them to do the remodel so we were not in the way and they did outstanding in ensuring our condo and all items were in perfect condition when we returned. We trusted them to have access and work with our condo maintenance supervisor. Everlast listened to our ideas, offered counterproposals, and generally tried to give us exactly what we envisioned. Remodels in condos are unique and they knew what to do to ensure in compliance with the HOA rules and regulations. Thank again for the great job.

Working with Everlast- Ariel and his team on my whole house renovation has been a great experience for us. We just finished our master bath remodeling and we love the transformation. I stripped the entire place down to the frame -- walls, ceiling, floors -- and gutted both bathrooms. Through the entire process Ariel was prompt, quick to return my calls, attentive to detail, receptive of change orders, and stayed on schedule. He even came up with some creative solutions to safely double the size of my master shower without major structural changes. They even custom cut and stained new tongue-in-groove ceiling panels around all the existing beams and vaulted ceilings. I couldn't be happier with the result, and would recommend them highly to anyone looking for a major remodel.

    Allstar Plumbing
Day 1. Two of the toilets in the house backed up, however the third toilet, closest to where the sewer line exits the house and goes underground and out to the street, worked fine. Obviously the obstruction was under the house upstream of the third toilets sewer connection. Called Allstar plumbing (AKA GogoRooter) as recommended by Angies list. Day 2. Allstar estimated it would cost $875.00, so I gave them my credit card for that amount. (See Sewer_01.pdf). (Note. It included installing a 2 way clean out). Allstar plumbing sent two young men who removed the two toilets and manually cabled the two toilets but were unable to clear the line. They called their Foreman to visually inspect the lines. Day 3. The Foreman arrived from Gogo Rooter with a camera and was unable to see the obstruction. He advised that the lines under the house were sagging and should be strapped up (not done). He assured me that the only action was to install a clean out just outside the house in the garden, but now the job cost would be $2,200.00. With little choice, I Oked it (See Sewer_02.pdf and Sewer_03.pdf). Day 4 & 5. The two young men dug a ~ 4ft deep hole down to the 4 cast iron sewer pipe. They were digging by the light of their cell phones until I loaned them an extension cord and trouble light! They cut the old cast iron pipe with a compression cutter, which shattered the pipe and produced a crack running towards the street. I was then informed that the only solution was to replace the cast iron pipe from the hole to the street with a plastic pipe for now a job cost of $7,250.00 (See Sewer_04.pdf). In the mean time they provided a temporary sewer connection, using duct tape. They brought in a power rooter, which, low and behold, cleared the original obstruction! All three toilets were now working. However, when they reinstalled the toilets they failed to add the spacers to bring the sewer pipe flange up to floor level. Day 8, 9 & 10. The two young men now dug a ~ 8ft deep hole down to the 4 cast iron sewer pipe close to where it enters the City line. They got the position wrong and had to extend the hole to find the pipe. Day 11. The sewer was disconnected, so no toilets or washing. They did not have the correct parts with them! The cast iron pipe running into the house was now cutoff cleanly using a small power grinder no cracks! Day 12. Still no sewer, again ran out of parts. Day 13. At the end of the day, a supervisor got the sewer re-connected. Day 15. The Palo Alto City Inspector failed the job because they had not installed a one-way valve as required by Palo Alto and several of the other Bay area cities. Day 16. Allstar called me wanting me to pay $250.00+ extra for their incompetence in not knowing a one-way valve was required, I refused citing Sewer_04.pdf which states they will supply ABS parts and permit. Day 22. The Palo Alto City Inspector passed the video inspection but required the valve to be installed. Day 23 Valve installed, but again missing a part. Day 24. The Palo Alto City Inspector passed the Job Day 25. Refilled the first hole. Day 27. Refilled the second hole and completed the job. In conclusion, if they had used the power rooter initially none of the extra work would have been necessary and my bill would have been $6375.00 less. The two young men obviously did not know the trade, had little supervision or guidance and were not equipped with the correct tools. I had to loan them, a wheel barrow, a power cord, a power adapter, a trouble light, a nut driver, and a tape measure what sort of a company sends its workers out with the correct tools? The Supervisor informed me that all the tools on his truck were his personal property and belonged to him! Several of the lawn lights have been destroyed along with some sprinklers. In my opinion, no one should recommend these companies.
