Bruno Nascimento - Health & Life Insurance Broker
Bruno is a thorough and efficient broker. He prepared a variety of options to choose from and helped us select the right option for our family. He also was a good communicator and followed up as needed. This happened even though he was out of the country for a period of time. Even though the application process itself became challenging due to many factors, Bruno stayed on top of it. I would definitely recommend him and would go back to him!

Bruno Nascimento - Health & Life Insurance Broker
Bruno was very responsive and helped navigate the whole process. I would highly reccommend Bruno to help you get the right health insurance.  The affordable care act can make getting the right plan more difficult especially if you are  not using the exchange. Bruno was able to get exactly what we wanted. I have no reservations recommending Bruno. Marylou Murphy

    Marquee Medical Transportation
Every time I've referred work to Marquee Medical Transportation I've received nothing but positive feedback. I love doing business with Marquee. I'm sure you will too.

    Kaiser Permanente
We will see if it is a lasting and total fix, but so far my care has been wonderful and affordable. I love Altha Greenstone, and the hospital stay was much better than with SUtter Health. Kind and attentive nurses & staff, really concerned about managing pain, not waking you up every hour.

Kaiser Permanente Redwood City Medical Center
The neuro surgery floor had very professional, caring staff who made me comfortable and stable before the surgery and provided excellent post-operative care. My surgeon, Dr. Hou, had great bedside manners, took over an hour to explain the procedure to me and my family before the operation. He also prescibed functional and regular MRI's before the operation so that he could be sure to avoid areas in my brain that could cause problems. After surgery and a couple of days of recovery, the symptoms I had were greatly reduced. My neuro-oncologist, Dr. Piia Thomas, was in the same group as Dr. Hou. She was very compassionate and explained the treatment options in an understandable and clear manner and side effects that I could encounter during these treatments. The neuro-oncology group has also been very responsive to my questions via telephone and through Kaiser's messaging system.

    Parson's Residential Care Center
Parsons is a wonderful facility in every regard. They took in someone who (like most), probably didn't want to be there to begin with and convinced her that she was well cared for and loved, they got her out of her chair in her room and into activities with other residents and turned it into a home for her. Over time, for a lot of reasons, none to do with Parsons itself, she became ill and was unable to participate as much. The staff still came in and made her feel wonderful and wanted, treated her warmly and lovingly, and generally just treated her like family. They were so effective that as she got sicker, she ended up in the hospital and rehab several times in the last four months, and all she could say is that she wanted to go home where all of her friends were. I would say that if they were trying to make her feel good and valued, they succeeded admirably. Some notes on the grading categories: Availability: Visiting hours were actually whenever you wanted to come in. They gave the family members the code to the front door, so if you wanted to come in during the middle of the night you were welcome. Environment: Absolutely clean and comfortable. Most of the residents there have Alzheimer's, but the staff still bathe them every single day, dress them in clean clothes which are washed every day, teeth brushed, etc. Their rooms are straightened and trash emptied daily and the room is actually cleaned once a week. The rooms are all private and have outside windows so they are bright, and large enough that she had a bed, a lazy-boy style chair, an end table, night stand, wardrobe, over bed table, bookcase and dresser, and still had enough room for people to visit in the room. It is wonderful. Parking is in front and very generous and accessible. Punctuality: Everyone was there when needed. Friendliness of Staff: Loving and personable. Bedside Manner: Unknown - We never actually met any of the physicians Communication: The Care Managers at Parsons gave us the information from the physicians Effectiveness of Treatment: They struggled with wound care from sitting too much (her choice.. nor theirs), but they brought in home health wound care nurses and Therapists - physical and occupational to motivate her to get up and move around as much as possible. Billing and Administration: We were self-pay of course, but it was simple. We would recommend Parson's.

She listens. It's not that she has all the answers but she listens to try and figure out what the issue is and is open. She hears what you have to say and then helps you figure it out. She is open to input. It's kind of like a patient knows their body kind of thing. Part of the reason that I hold her in such high regard is, I had a brain tumor and she actually helped predict it and figure out what was going on. I kept falling. I kept coming in because I needed physical therapy because I would give myself whiplash when I would fall. So, I would have back, neck and shoulder problems. She said, "You need to go in for a CT scan," and I didn't want to. Finally I listened to what she had to say, a year later, and I went in for the CT scan and sure enough, I had a brain tumor that was knocking me off balance and causing me to fall.
