This company is the most professional company on earth!  They have the highest score on some websites and they invest so much time taking care of their customers! We had the most amazing project manager and he did full bathroom remodel for us and repaired our roof (FOR FREE!!).. they went out of their way to handle our project! God bless them!

  • The way I see it a company is measured by all its employees. Each and every one of the employees of this company was caring and considerate. They covered my bedroom so the dust won't get inside and at the same time they convert for my dad the garage (they turned the garage into a studio apartment cute) - Adam was the project manager and personally arranged the furniture back exactly as they were when the everything was done.  he devoted unlimited time to work with us and was very professional. We bought a solid wood cabinets and my father thought he could install them himself - and in the end almost destroyed them
At the end we contacted this company and that's how we got to that they just built the studio from scratch... I recommended and continue to recommend to all friends and my family.

  • I want to dedicate my following review to the owner/owners of this company - thank you for creating an amazing team who knows how to work correctly and so professional! Your team comes every morning and waiting for them a pot of coffee and cookies prepared especially by my wife! They do not stop working once they get to my house until the moment they leave. I really enjoy working with them (I insisted on dealing with some carpentry work) - they know exactly what they are doing. Very surprising to see a construction company that employs its workers and Not subcontractors. The house we're working on right now is kind of a vacation house to our guests from abroad, but most likely I'll take advantage of the fact that the house was now getting very impressive and maybe even will rent it for a long time. I'll try to upload pictures below to give you an idea about their work!

  • Arrived right on time. Very polite and professional but also very friendly - but business-like. Walked through, gave estimate and did the work. Two hours later they were all done.
We've used G&G a number of times and have always been happy wiht them. They also have done other carpet services like patching carpet damaged areas with remnant pieces. We've been pleased with those services as well.

  • Totally went the extra mile to save my gorgeous little rug- been in same spot for 8 years and suddenly cat felt need to repeatedly mark territory there. Fortunately G&G was willing to wash it multiple times (5-6) to get all the odor out and even called to ask about handling an area where fringe was uneven. THANKS TO G&G!

  • The salesperson, Mark (?), was great. Very thoughtful and generally a really nice guy. I was looking to recarpet two bedrooms - didn't want to spend a ton and didn't want anything super plush. He steered me towards some good possibilities. Shopping for carpeting can be very overwhelming. Once he came out to the house to measure, it became clear that some options would create a clearance problem with closet and bedroom doors. I am glad he noticed that because otherwise, I'd have had to have the doors removed and cut -- costing me more. The installers were prompt, polite and thorough. And very quick. Remarkably so. The only negative comment I can make is that the pad installed is not as cushion-y as I had hoped. Because of the concern about door clearance, a very thin pad was recommended. As it turns out, I could have gone with something a bit thicker, which would have been a lot better. Even the installer was surprised by the choice but at that point it was too late.

  • They did everything right.  The floor looks great.  They were clean, punctual, polite.  They had to install Karndean Flooring which is vinyl wood-like planks.  It is used in a lot of commercial stores.  Not everyone installs this.
I am very happy with the job.
Their price was lower than my other bids too.

  • Last year we bought a townhouse as a second home that clearly needed updating. We decided to put in wooden floors to replace the carpet in the downstairs and loft as well as the tile in the kitchen. Eventually we decided to replace the carpet in one bedroom and one staircase as well. Quite a lot of flooring all in all. The family, it turned out, wanted wood flooring. But what type of wood and from where? I was flummoxed, having had no experience with wood floors. After doing a bit of research online, visiting some very fancy flooring stories as well as Home Depot and Ikea, I still had no idea how to move forward. Out driving one day along Eagle Boulevard, I noticed Midtown Carpet out of the corner of one eye and I thought I would stop in to see if they might have remnant that would do for the small bedroom we were planning on renting out. I stopped, went into the store and met David, the owner. And I knew I had found the where for my flooring needs, because I had found the "who", the person whom I trusted to sell and install a fine product and a fair price.

How does it come about that you meet someone and trust them immediately? in purchasing an item like flooring, it comes about by being given the time and space you need to look around initially and then, when you are ready to interact, noticing that the salesperson is really listening to you as you explain your needs and then answers, really answers, the precise questions you are asking instead of giving a generic patter. Important, too, is that the information provided matches what you have learned but given you enough new data that you feel better equipped to make a decision. It was a hot hot day last summer when I first came into Midtown Carpet and David helped me understand the pros and cons of the various types of wood flooring. Eventually, i decided on the real hardwood, the most expensive option, but not because David was nudging me that way but because I knew my family would prefer the look of the "real deal". I think David was surprised but arranged to come out and measure bringing some heavy samples with him so I could see the wood in the situ. I had decided upon a tile entry way from the front door and he insisted that we put in tile in the hallway from the garage as well -- even though that would reduce the cost of the job for him. He also advised against wood in the kitchen (for all the obvious reasons!) which would have also meant less money for him. Finally, he drew my attention to some serious problems around the sliding glass doors and floor length windows in the living room which, he explained, absolutely would have to be fixed before the wood could be installed. Left unattended

Once I had made my decision, it was time to consult the family. Husband and son were both staying out of town and we made several trips to Midtown Carpet dragging samples in and out and having David come out a second time with new choices to see how they looked in the house and once we had made our decision and put down the deposit we learned that the, problem we had seen with water leakage was a great deal more serious than we thought and installation needed to be delayed until we could have the work done. Unfortunately, this dragged on and David was so helpful and patient.

Eventually the day came and the real hardwood floor was installed -- perfectly. The installer, Edwin, arrived absolutely on time, worked with his crew efficiently, paying attention to every board and every nail. The floor is simply beautiful and the entire experience established a new metric to measure customer service by: for me, "a Midtown Carpet" = 5 stars.

  • Went in to Lowe's to look at carpet and, in a moment of weakness,  purchased a measuring appointment  for $35 and rented a carpet sample  for $25.  After talking to another vendor, realized there was no reason to pay for a measuring appointment and that the Lowe's saleswoman had recommended a very  poor choice of carpet for my project, simply because it was the only carpet they had in the color I wanted (charcoal gray/black color family).  Decided to go with the other vendor, whose advice was better and whose price was better for the total job.

  • Overall I had a very good experience with Master Mart. I needed old carpet removed and new carpet installed in a built in office and 4 short flights of stairs with a landing in my townhouse. I worked with Jerry, who came over to measure. Jerry was very responsive and helpful. Then I went to the store where Joe and Jerry helped me pick out carpet on two occasions. Color matching was very important to me and Master Mart has a huge selection. I brought home six different carpet boards full of colors I thought might work, 3 Shaw and 3 Fabrica. Master Mart didn't charge a deposit for the samples like Lowe's does, even though it took me awhile to select a color. Even before I had decided on the carpet and color I wanted, Jerry had the six estimates ready to help me make my decision. The estimates ranged from $1550 for the low end Shaw ($200 cheaper than Lowes, which was the only other estimate I got) to $5000 for the high end Fabrica. I liked the Fabrica Denali carpet and color the best for $2350 so we finalized the deal; Master Mart requires 60% down, and paying with credit card costs 5% extra so I paid with a check. That was December 5th. Obviously I'm glad I didn't fall in love with the high end Fabrica carpet.
I asked Jerry if it would be possible to get installation done before Christmas and he said couldn't promise but he would try, depending on when he received the carpet from the manufacturer. He managed to get me a slot on December 18th so I was very happy about that. Julio and Fernando showed up on time and worked their butts off for two days installing the carpet. Fernando doesn't speak English so Julio was the spokesman and both were very nice and easy to work with.
The new carpet installation is different from what was replaced in that Julio and Fernando cut a separate piece of carpet for each stair rather than using one long piece for each flight of stairs. This resulted in a much tighter fitting, sleeker and more contemporary looking installation than I had before, and I like it much better. The only downside here is that I need to do some touch up painting on the walls adjacent to two of the flights where the carpet fits the stair tighter than before. I also needed to do significant touching up of my stair railings, probably unavoidable given the tight space and custom fitting that had to be done.
We were left with a very dusty house after the installation. Again this was probably unavoidable due to the recarpeted stairs being open to the rest of our very open floor plan. Unfortunately due to the dust and the very noticeable outgassing of the new nylon carpet for about a week, my husband, who has severe allergy and asthma problems, really suffered during that time. If I had it to do over again I would avoid scheduling carpet installation for winter when it's too cold to open up the house, or find a place for my husband to stay. I only say this to help others with asthma problems as it was not Master Mart's fault.
Recarpeting our stairs was very labor intensive so the job took two days. Overall I am thrilled with the new carpet and with Master Mart's sales and service. Would definitely use their services again and recommend them to others. Jerry, Joe, Julio and Fernando were a pleasure to work with and Jerry even called and wrote a thank you note to thank me for my business and tell me he enjoyed working with me. Now that I've done all that color matching, I'm planning to ask them to quote me a price for an area rug for my living room.
