Air Duct Cleaning reviews in Palo Alto

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • Scheduling was via telephone and very quick. (scheduling 2 days out) Worker was slightly delayed due to a previous job but called with an updated arrival time. Work was completed quickly, cleanly and far more thoroughly than a previous service. Interior access and exterior access ducting was cleared. Worker recommended replacing a small section of older interior ducting and provided a fair onsite charge for the material/work. Customer very satisfied with the results.

  • Everything went smoothly. Workman came on time, was very professional, explained the issue and gave a very reasonable estimate (much less than the other companies that gave quotes). he returned a few days later and took care of the problem, taking photographs before and after the work. He also cleaned thoroughly all the air ducts inside the house. He used a brush a well as a vacuum and it made a big difference.

  • I was very pleased. They were excellent. They came on time and did what they were supposed to do. He was very fair, he wasn't trying to pether, get more business like some of the other people I contacted. It was unpleasant business and he did it very efficiently, very well. He was timely and honest. It was a pleasure to work with him. He's pricing was quite reasonable. Bernie is first rate, excellent. Left the work area clean, in really good shape.

  • Vent Cleaners located the carcass, removed that section of the vent, and replaced it with a new one. They also vacuumed the vents and advised us that we had old vents lined with fiberglas, so they could not use their power brushes to clean the vents --- they could only vacuum. If we decide to replace all the vents with fiberglas on the OUTSIDE, I would hire this firm.

  • Scheduling took a bit of time - mostly my fault - but they have terrible phone skills! Heavy accent and difficult to know what they are saying.  The guys that came were nice enough, but not very thorough. I am not 100% certain they did each vent. They were wrapping up and I noted that one bedroom had not been done (I knew for sure), so he pulled out his equipment again.
They were not very professional in their own appearance, the equipment was dirty and they left finger prints on the crawl space door! After they left I found that they had blown a fuse. The tech knew he had done it but didn't tell me or resolve it. And it seems that they turned off my furnace and did not turn it back on. Maybe hoping to get a distress call to come back and fix it...??? Very disappointed.

  • I hired this company to replace all the ducts at my house. The work was professionally done and it took them 2 days from start to finish. The work was performed by 3 people and they did a good job. The quote was given prior to the work and 2 days after i approved it, the workers came over to do it.
I also would like to thank Susan from the office for the nice service.

  • I consider this company as a good one due to the fast and good service that i received from them this week.
the work was performed by their technician Daniel who came over with additional worker to clean and check the ducts at my house.
the work took several hours in which they checked everything and they were honest enough to tell me that everything is in good condition and all i need is just the cleaning.

  • It was really a bait and switch.  Within 3 minutes, they told me to clean the furnace properly they would have to remove the motor and disconnect the switch and that would cost me $300.00.  And when I refused that offer, they did a quick pretend pass.  They did some, not all.  They did not move the furniture.  They did not clean all the ducts.

  • I was phoned by this company (calling themselves Indoor Air Quality) and told that they had done business with me in 2008.Without thinking I said OK for an appointment in a couple of weeks. A scheduler phoned about ten minutes later to verify the appointment. (I didn't understand why.) I didn't remember even having work done by this company, so I checked my records --- both old invoices and my financial accounts on Quicken. Neither showed this company's name or any service like what they offered. So I looked at Angie's List and found two F reviews. I phoned the number displayed on Angie's List, and got a recording. I asked them to phone me back (so I could cancel the appointment.) I never heard from them.
The day before the appointment, there was a message on my answering machine asking me to phone back to verify the appointment. The 888 number they gave was for a dental office. With no way to get in touch with this company, I answered the door when the service man arrived and told him I was cancelling the appointment. He asked why, and I told him there were two very negative reviews on Angie's List. He said, OK, sorry. And walked away.

  • Only thing was that at first, he said he couldn't do the job as I am a second floor condo.  I said, I was sorry, I had told the Concierge I couldn't find anyone to do the work (the man from AAA furnace Co. initially came, I used them at my townhouse in Menlo Park, said I must get a co. with HVAC cleaning--companies would know.  Well, no one knew, and I needed help.
The Concierge was very helpful, it was getting hot and I couldn't use the Air Conditioner.  She got 3 bids, discussed them with me, and told me what their rating with Angie's list was.  I chose Elos for $200, but if I had as much as 5 ducts, I would pay $500. And that's what I paid.  $200 for this job wasn't fair and I told the man I would only have them do the work if he felt is was fair to him and to me.  He was surprised, glad to do the work for $500, and I was glad to have a good company complete the much needed work.
I realize that $500 may be high, but the work was careful and thorough, and those were very important qualities to  me.
