  • Very well. Despite my reservation about nationally branded car shops, I was very pleased. They explained everything clearly, offered options, and recommended the lowest cost option, which has worked out well. We're very pleased.

  • They did an excellent job and went the extra mile even giving me a bottle of wine. I will recommend to every one I know in the desert to go to Cam Stones repair! PS they gave a 10percent discount for Angie list customers.

  • First they gave me an estimate and they also communicated with my insurance company.  Michael kept me informed of the progress of the repairs. At one point they did find some additional damage, which was the headlight assembly and called to inform me.  The car looks great and drives great!  I am very pleased.  Very nice people to deal with!

  • I believe the service department of I-10 Toyota has repeatedly given me misinformation about the condition of my car.
    HISTORY
I've had 3 oil changes (on my Lexus) at this dealership since I moved to the desert.  Each time, a problem costing about $300-$400 to "fix" has been diagnosed and recommended.  For each diagnosis, I obtained a second opinion.  All three recommendations turned out to be bogus.  The most recent recommendation was front brakes.  I-10 Toyota told ne they would charge $239.95 for the brakes.
Since I was driving to Los Angeles anyway, I took the car to the Lexus/Toyota mechanic I used for 10 years--up until the time I moved to the desert-- because he told me he would charge me $150 for front brakes.  he examined the brakes and said they were fine--that I didn't need new brakes.  I told him about the other recommendations made by I-10 Toyota service department.  He checked the car out and confirmed that there were no problems like the ones described by the I-10 Toyota service department.
BACKGROUND FOR RECENT INCIDENT  As I was driving out of the dealership following an oil change the previous week, I noticed the TRAC and VSC lights were illuminated on the instrument panel.  This same problem occurred when the dealership changed my oil 6 months ago.   The first time it occurred, the service rep diagnosed the problem and made an adjustment AT NO CHARGE.  I told the service agent about that, and she denied that it ever happened on the grounds that "it isn't on your record."  I asked to see a manager.  The manager behaved in a dismissive manner toward me (He said, "You're wrong!  It couldn't have happened like you describe.") and said the only way they would diagnose the problem would be if I paid for the time.  So I returned and I was charged for a half hour's shop charge--$52.50.  I was told it would take an hour.  An hour and 45 minutes later I searched for the service agent to find out where my car was.  Finding her and completing the paperwork took another 15 minutes.  Her report was that they "had a hard time re-programming the steering sensor."
While I was having the brakes checked, I asked my former mechanic to check the steering sensor because the TRAC and VSC lights had gone on.  He re-programmed the sensor in FIVE MINUTES and charged me NOTHING.
My former mechanic also gave me a price for replacing the steering sensor if that ever became necessary.  It was HALF the charge that I-10 quoted.  Since he had once worked for a Lexus dealership, he explained that service agents are paid a commission on upsells, which means they would always find something "wrong."

  • a few days ago my car started grinding as I pressed my brake, I took it to a local shop were I was quoted about 250 to replace the brakes and rotors when I called around looking for someone cheaper I found Jeremy, he showed up and had the job done if about 1 hour and only charged me about 120 dollars .....great job

  • The B service is essentially an oil change with additional inspections. They made an appointment for us and said it would take approximately one hour. They did the service, inspected the vehicle, test drove it, and returned it on time. We were very pleased. The dealer asks over $300 for this same service.
While there we listened to how they interacted with other customers who were having cars repaired. I felt they were completely ethical and honest about how they interacted with the other customers. I will bring my auto back to them for all future work that may be necessary.

  • I noted one issue with parking brake release and they said they would look and give me an estimate to repair. Checked in easily in the morning and was offered a ride but not needed. They called in the afternoon and said car was ready. They found no significant issues and In checking out the owner said No Charge for the service. I was totally shocked but he said they do not charge for Diagnostics, only for work approved and done. I will return to this fine shop!

  • My vehicle was taken in as soon as I got there and was done in a timely fashion.  Friendly and knowledgable staff, very happy with the service.  This was my first time there and I will continue to use this shop

  • Needed to have the vehicle towed which cost an additional $90.
For some reason they are reluctant to have a customer visit the shop area when the work is being done.
They use the excuse that insurance will not allow customers in the shop.
I would use this company again with some reservations, since their cost structure is lower than the dealership.
Work seems to be OK, but not having the ability to chat with the mechanic was frustrating.

  • Had a screw in a tire. AAA came out and put the spare on. I then took the tire to Pit Stop and they quickly patched it, put it back on the truck and resecured the spare tire. Whole job only took about 20 minutes. The got me in and out quickly.
