Jeff and Monica put customer satisfaction and quality first. Their team was great to work with and the final products have become a destination for friends and family. They've helped us make a house a home.

We had a dangerous (and very common) situation with a sidewalk that had been pushed up by nearby tree roots.  Pita came out to take a look and we agreed that to do the job correctly it would require replacing not one but two sections of slab -- and even then I could see that lining up the new slab would be a little tricky given what the tree roots had done.  But Pita did an excellent job with that.  Also, when digging up the old sidewalk, Pita and his worker discovered that the gas and water pipes were far closer to the surface than they should be.  If he had not been careful it would have been very easy to damage the pipes and create a small crisis.  But Pita spotted the pipes right away and carefully worked around them as he chopped the roots to ensure a flat bed for the new sidewalk.  Overall he did a great, very professional job and we are very pleased with the work.

Jeff was great and so was Carole who coordinated the schedule and emailed me the contract. Both were very friendly and easy to work with. The job turned out better than I ever imagined! It was beautiful work, done in a very professional manner from begining to end cleaning up nicely when finished.Jeff was able to use most of my bricks and matched everything perfectly. The job also involved a lot of jackhammering the concrete slabs the front entrance bricks were lying on.
I would definitly use Jeff again for any brick or stone work

    FALKON CONCRETE-MASONRY-PAVERS
Here's an odd review.  I'm giving Val an A+ though I've never met him or used him.  Here's what happened.  I called Val for a quote on a relatively small job -- a concrete step around my Ipe deck.   He promptly gave me what, at the time, I thought was a high bid.  The guy who was framing my deck said he could do the concrete work -- so I went with him instead.  BIG MISTAKE.   That concrete had to be jack-hammered out.  So I called Val again to see if he could come out and do the work right.  He said for the first time in a long time, his company was shutting down for 2 or 3 weeks so they could all take a much needed vacation.  However, he recommended a guy who often did some work for him (as a sub, I'm guessing).  When the guys showed up in a Falkon Concrete truck wearing Falkon Concrete shirts, I felt my shoulders relaxing immediately.  I had a feeling I was in good hands and I was right.   They were really great, friendly guys (from Tonga!) who did an excellent job at a very fair price.    I can only assume the work they did is emblematic of the sort of work Val would do.  And I am very thankful for his professionalism and his selflessness.   He essentially let me use some of his crew -- without charging me anything at all.  He was also very honest when I told him I needed some concrete work done around the coping of my pool.  He said pools are not his area of expertise and recommended I find someone for whom it is.  I appreciated that as well.   Honest!  Go figure!    I am kicking myself that I didn't hire Val the first time.  My attempt to save what ended up being around $400 actually cost me more money in the long run.  Lesson learned.  But Val helped that lesson to be less financially painful than it could have been.  Highly recommend him.

    Preferred Home Builders Inc
We initially met with Yaron Yishar and he presented us with a very detailed plan. They have really moved quickly to get the work going once we approved the plan. We were so pleased with the initial meeting we have added on to the work with the AC/heating in the house as well. The quote we received was very reasonable and fair for the AC/Heating.

    Skyline Construction & Remodeling
Eric came out immediately to give us a very fair estimate.  We have used Skyline before and have been very pleased with their work. This time was just as good: the workers are very professional, they do excellent work, the price is fair and they keep to their appointment date.  We are very happy with the finished product and their price.  We unreservedly recommend Eric and his team for your construction and remodeling work. They are the best.
    FIVE STARS.

    Safe Way Sandblasting Co Inc
We moved into a condo that had several interior walls of painted brick. My wife wanted to explore the idea of sandblasting the walls to remove the paint before we moved in. Tom from Safe-Way stopped by to give us an estimate, and he very diplomatically told us that it wouldn't make sense to do that amount of sandblasting in an interior unit (too messy, possible neighbor complaints, etc.).
The fact that he took the time to come look at the job combined with his obvious knowledge of his business, would have me use him for sure in the future if we had any other work for him.

    Stout Design Build
He came over, we talked about the yard and the main project we wanted to do right away, get a bid on right away, and projects for the future.  It was $100 for the estimate and some of his suggestions/ideas.The bid came in at $60,000 for everything 1st project to last.  They were very professional to deal with and did say we could delete anything we weren't comfortable with.  I guess we just began suffering from sticker shock and went with the $2900 bid.
They were great people to work with. If you can afford it, I'd say go for it.

    A Pete's Concrete
t was a lucky chance that I chose Peter from the many others on the list. I think I was drawn by the fact that he seemed to be a small and perhaps more personable company. His estimate for the scope of work was very competitive. His workers were diligent, respectful, quiet and always showed. After the work was completed, they cleaned up the area.

I was not disappointed. The quality of work for the price was more than I expected and quite surprising. Peter accepted installment payments (beginning, midway and at end). He always showed for appointments and called me often to give updates.

I plan to use Peter for future work (block wall to replace a wood fence).

    Jeff Miller Masonry
In a word; HIRE HIM!  He is the consummate professional.  Jeff clearly loves what he does and it shows.  He comes from a family of Masons and I love it when professions have a familial history.  There is no detail too small for him (and believe me i am a nitpicker)  and he is a total perfectionist.
There was literally nothing I would ask of him or his team that they didn't do gladly.  Although he may not realize it, he is an artist.
He always came up with ideas and ways to make things both look and function better.  He may not be the cheapest, but you get what you pay for and I was more than thrilled with the quality of the work.  I would have Jeff and his team back in a heartbeat.
