    Lerman Appliances
Perfect..The rep came out, diagnosed the problem correctly, quoted the price and then ordered the part--he returned on time and fixed it 100%. The reason we use Lerman is that they know their business...no guessing as to the cause of the problem...we have Sub-Zero frige and Wolf range--over 5 years old so no warranty---Lerman is so so much better and responsive that the SZ & W recommended service center--not even close-- Simply the best appliance repair place in town----

It went well. Mr. Vitally Lerman answered our call, diagnosed the problem over the phone when I described the problem, and used the model number of our 19-year-old range to determine the part needed. He made an appointment for the following day, came at the time promised with the part needed, checked the oven to make sure that was the cause of the problem (oven was barely heating and took 1.5 hours to reach four degrees below the desired temperature), determined that he was correct, and replaced the part quickly and efficiently.

    US Standard Appliance Repair
He checked the refrigerator quickly and said we may have already fixed it by cleaning the coils and to wait 24 hours and check it again. US Standard had a discount coupon with Angie's list so this only cost $25. 24 hours later it had still not cooled and we discussed it over the phone with Mike. He told us the compressor was failing and it was not worth the money to pay him to repair it considering the appliance age. So we did replace the refrigerator but it was a pleasure to do business with a knowledgeable, and honest provider like Mike at US Standard. We will contact them again for the next appliance repair.

    Paul's Washer & Dryer Repair
It was really successful.  I've had my washer and dryer fixed over the years by a company I was never happy with--they always overcharged and were never helpful with information about the machines. So I decided I needed someone more responsible and knowledgable that I felt I could trust. That's why I decided to sign up for Angie's List--to find that someone. Paul's came up #1 and completely lived up to the reviews. I was SO relieved because it was a gamble. Now I feel more confident about finding other services on Angie's List. David from Paul's was extremely helpful, reliable, informative, and professional. It could not have gone better.

The leak was caused by a crack in the original evaporation tray of our refrigerator/freezer.
The technician arrived promptly, identified the problem, and a replacement part was ordered.
When the part arrived, the technician returned and installed the new tray.  Although it appears to be capturing the discharge from the defrost cycle adequately, the technician had considerable difficulty getting the new tray into place ... it is not an exact fit in the space provided under the refrigerator.  The technician was courteous and responsive to my questions.  He did the best he could with the materials provided.
Time will tell if the new tray is positioned properly to evaporate the defrost discharge properly over several defrost cycles.

    The Home Doctor
My washing machine seemingly died on me.  It wasn't very old.  Maybe 10 years.  It was an LG with all the fancy
bells and whistles.  I went online and called The Home Doctor because it was local.  The owner seemed to live in Pacific Palisades
and so do I.  He was incredibly responsive!  Called back immediately and I was out of town but we connected.  I don't know that i realized he is more of a contractor that dispenses sub contractors.  He sent a repairman very quickly.  He did not speak good English and was not terribly communicative.  Basically wanted me out of his way.  So be it.  I had to trust to let him do his job.
The owner of Home Doctor got back to me quickly and told me his suggestion was that I buy a new washing machine.  It would
have cost too much to repair it that it made no sense.  What happened was a housekeeper put a small rug in the machine that
caused it to become unbalanced, and it went kaput.  It surprised me that one bad move would be the death of a fancy
washing machine.  Home doctor suggested I get a non fancy one which is exactly what I did.  No bells, no whistles.  Just an
old fashioned inexpensive washing machine.  So would I call him again?  I think I would.  He was lovely and sympathetic.
I would probably use him if i needed to have multiple things done simultaneously.  Yes, I would recommend him.

We observed that the ice maker in our built-in refrigerator was not making ice.  Called for repair service, and the technician arrived punctually.  After some testing, he determined that the ice maker needed to be replaced.  After installation of the new part, the ice maker seemed to go through the ice making cycle correctly, but understandably, the technician could not wait around for the ice cubes to be formed.  After he left, we checked the new ice maker several times, and soon discovered the new maker had not made any new cubes.  Called for follow-up service, which again arrived on schedule.  After further testing, the valve that controlled the flow of water to the ice maker was replaced.  This fixed the problem.  The invoice for the second repair visit covered the cost of the new water control valve, and did not include any charge for installation labor.  It left, unanswered, the question as to whether the new ice maker, installed in the first visit, was necessary.

    All Stars Appliance Repair
Mark was professional , easy to deal with and knowledgable.  He came the same day as our call, returned the next day with parts and got the job done that day even though it took longer than expected.  The cost was high and it was impossible to comparison shop becasue each component of the job was quoted as a combined part and installation cost.  Nonetheless, the ultimate cost came in somehwat under the estimate.

    Service Masters Appliance Repair Experts
The initial 99 went to diagnosing a problem that couldn't be fixed without ordering the replacement part from Samsung. Came back within 48 hours with an assistant and spent 2 hours pulling everything out, pulling the machine apart, replacing the part and then leaving with everything back in place and working perfectly. 72 hours later the pump failed again. He came out within hours. Diagnosed the bad part. He was very professional and very apologetic even though this was clearly no fault of his. He was back within 48 hours with an assistant and the replacement for the replacement. He showed up on time. Did the job even more quickly. Left the place spotless. Was again very apologetic. No charge as this fell under his work guarantee. I would hire them again. I'm very pleased.

    Sears Appliance Repair
I called them when it became necessary. They told me they could not come out for 18 days. I needed this fixed right away. I had to call someone to come and fix this for me and it ended up costing me $333.
