  • I felt "not well". Technician was supposed to take "before and after photo's" but he "forgot". He did however, suggest removing the entire heating unit (which is enclosed indoors) out for a cleaning for $400! When i said I did not think that was necessary, he showed me "pictures he took" that showed it was dirty. Then he offered to do it for $300. I still declined. Then he offered to spray it with a cleaning solution for $200. I still declined. I paid $79 for a "special deal" to have the vent cleaned. It took about 15 to 20 minutes. It seemed he was just there to see what additional money he could collect. Would not use again.

  • They did a great job! While the vents were clean the first time, unfortunately urine also seeped into the wood flooring around the vent. Even though treating the wood was not their responsibility, they ordered another product and returned two additional times to solve the wood issue. I was told to place a box over the register for a few weeks until the cat "forgets about the spot" and then purchase air deflectors to help cover the area in the future. It's been a month and no smell!! The cat has had a complete attitude change, he's completely different, loving, sweet and is no longer interested in the vent! Couldn't be happier with the service and the cat!

  • The air duct cleaning went well. In addition when I requested tehy clean the vent from my dryer this was explained that it was not part of the original Big Deal I had purchased, but they would the cleaning of the dryer vent anyways. If they did clean the dryer vent, it was not a very good job. There was still lint coming out of that vent.

  • Charles showed up this AM with his daughter and walked the house with me, explaining what he was going to do and then they got to work. Not only were these two working hard, but they were friendly, and informative and very, very thorough. They were here most of the day and when they left I couldn't believe how much lint and dust they had cleared out of my house. I can't refer these guys strongly enough, they were really great.

  • He immediately told me it would cost more because my vent was supposedly longer than 10ft.I dont know the exact length of my vent, however, judging from where the dryer was to the end of the vent it seemed less than 20 ft. and he wanted $210.I paid this. He then conviced me that I should have him inspect my heater for $40 which he did and he explained tha it would cost $675 more because drainage pipes were blocked and the excess water in my attic had caused the growth of some mold.I then had a local heating repair company who told me there was no mold and no blockage. They said that the Eco Green guy was not truthfull.

  • When Ted came out to give us an estimate on replacement of our furnace (no AC), we were immediately impressed by his manner and his thoroughness. We had received one other estimate which was sent via e-mail after a short, cursory inspection by a technician. I searched Angie's List for an alternative and was impressed by the superior reviews and awards received by JW Heating and Air. Ted's initial visit was very comprehensive, including photos of the furnace and ducts currently in our attic, and it was apparent that we needed to replace both the furnace and all ducts, including attic and in a crawl space under the house. The original inspector had not discussed with us the importance of replacing the ducts, as well as the fact that there were considerable animal droppings as well as urine in and around the attic ducts which needed to be removed and sanitized before any new work was to be done. When Ted returned to present us with a well-documented estimate, including all the options available to give us the best possible outcome, there was no question that we were confident in scheduling the work as soon as possible. The job took three complete days, and Sean and his crew arrived promptly each of the days and worked quickly, neatly and very efficiently until completion. Ted has also contacted us to schedule another visit for him to go over the entire system to be certain that we are completely satisfied in every way. He has stated that we did not buy a furnace, we bought a relationship. We are confident that we will continue to have very good communication and excellent service in the future. We feel that the cost was acceptable and that the Angie's List discount coupon was an added bonus. Ted also advised us of a $100 rebate offered by the furnace company which was filed by his office staff, and we have been notified that it has been approved and will be received by us in 4-6 weeks.

  • They cold called me unsolicited and offered to clean my ducts for $49. I had them out and all they cleaned was a return, and then told me that I had asbestos in my ducts and it needed to be fixed for a price of $4,700. This seems like a scam. I called another company and they came out and said there was no asbestos issue whatsoever in the ducts. On their business card, they do not list any licensing. They did not even write up their proposal on a formal bid sheet, they simply wrote it on a piece of yellow legal pad paper.

  • Amir came out and went up and examined the duct. He indicated that the ducts may be inadequate for the size of the furnace, and suggested some remedies for that. He seemed very professional and helpful.

  • The father and son team of Charlie and CJ were very nice and professional. I was suprised by the additional price increase over the pre-paid special I had purchased but our house is 9200 sq. ft. so I know there was much more work and time involved than a standard house that would be applicable for the special.

  • The crew (2) arrived right on time and explained what they would do and proceeded to complete the job in the amount of time that they said they would.  It was painless and took about an hour.  They were polite and careful of my furnishings and my floor. They wore booties so that they wouldn't track dirt into the house, and I am very pleased.  The only disappointment was that they told me that my AC needed work and that my furnace probably needed replacing.  It is over 30 years old.  Both work fine for my needs so I am waiting until they actually break down before I do anything to replace or fix them.
