The new floor is cracking and Jon will not accept any responsibility. The historic floor was mishandled and again Jon blamed the problems on the floor.

I purchased my home with carpeted floors. Underneath i found old parquet as well as oak floors in some rooms. The carpet had totally ruined the floors, glue, mold, and more. We wanted to have the wood floors in the downstairs of our new house refinished (they were rough and the finish was blotchy). Jon came highly recommended by my parent's neighbor (plus his uncle did my parent's hardwood floors in the 70s, so it runs in the family). Jon is extremely nice but VERY difficult to get a hold of. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Jon and his men refinished our wood floor by first sanding off the old finish, repaired a few small patches and then applied two coats of finish. They then bleached the fir so that it would stain more similarly to the pine. Finally, they applied a coat of stain to the floors.
