Hospital Care reviews in Oroville

  • We had our first baby at Enloe. Initially we intended to have it at Feather River but due to blah blah blah we ended up at Enloe and I'm glad we did. They have a new birthing center which is fantastic. All mothers get their own suite which is more like a motel room with a hospital bed in it. Private, bathroom, jacuzzi tub, cable TV, couches that turn into beds, etc. There medical expertise is the highest between Sacramento and Portland and should something go wrong they have the ability to stabilize and transport newborns on their own helicopter. The staff was fantastic. As new parents we were a bit apprehensive about anything to do with our new chubby-cheeked poo machine but they held our hands and walked us through. The wife had complications and instead of a 2 day stay we were there for 5. The nurses were great (accept for one who was professional but kind of standoffish) and so were the aids. When we had a problem with one aid it was addressed immediately. Thanks Enloe!

  • She is an outstanding doctor. As for the center, it is a first come, first serve type of place. It looks like a place for immediate care, it's like a clinic. They are open from 7 in the morning until 9 in the evening, 7 days a week. I didn't pass an occasion to go in when my regular doctor was there and they would take care of the issues that I had. I don't have to make an appointment ahead of time. My doctor work everyday but she has fairly regular hours so I can call and find out when she's there or if she left so that I know when is the time that I will go see her. She's probably the most popular doctor there. Sometimes I have to wait but I don't have to wait for days to have an appointment and there's always somebody to cover for her if she's on vacation or something. Their system is very handy and it works well. She saved my life and I guess that's a good indication of the effectiveness of treatment.

  • The doctor who performed my surgery was a very good surgeon.  I used them as they were one of the hospitals on the list which was covered by my insurance and I was recommended to them by my primary care physician.  They were very good and when I entered I had to make sure I pre-registered to have the surgery.  Everyone there was very nice, took all the information and set a date for the surgery with the doctor.  They took me right away when I went in.  I had a problem with my potassium and they gave it to me and as such instead of going for the surgery in the morning I ended up going in the afternoon which was ok.  They waited until my vitals were exactly right and then performed the surgery.  The nurses were nice and knew I was nervous about the surgery and as such were very sympathetic about it.  They took really good care of me.  I had a little bit of a problem with the insurance but it was quickly taken care of.  I would use them again in the future.
