    CITRUS HEIGHTS PET HOSPITAL
We show weimaraner dogs and in the past our vets would do unnecessary testing and procedures. One thing I really liked about Dr. Brickson, is that they will suggest procedures and testing that is necessary and will give us recommendations for the future. She has complemented on how beautiful our female weimaraner was, to the point where she contacted the local president of the weinheimer club. One great example of one of her recommendations was when we were going to neuter our female weimaraner . The local president contacted us and went into detail of how highly rated our female is and how much show dog qualities she has. Because of the local presidents feedback,. Dr. Brickson suggested we spay the male instead, in case we decide to breed the female again. We ended up breeding the female this October, so we are glad to have listened to her suggestion. One thing CITRUS HEIGHTS PET HOSPITAL does is that they follow up with us the next day after procedures. They are all very caring and they are reasonably priced. They are very accommodating when trying to see the vet without a prior appointment if it is a necessary visit .

    VCA Loomis Basin Veterinary Clinic
We were freaking out and were not sure what was going to happen to our dog, and they were able to calm us down and calm him down. They also diagnosed what was wrong with him, and offered multiple ways to fix/contain the problem to extend his life. We were relieved that we did have other options than putting him down. All the staff were friendly and I would return again if needed.

They are awesome.  They were recommended to us when we moved here about twelve years ago.  Our animals have all gone there.  They are caring and they remember us when we walk in.  The animals are actually happy to be there.  I have never once seen a dog that wasn't happy or have never seen an animal run to the back room.  They are all just great, the receptionist to the vet.  I really think we should have a multiple animal discount because we have eight.  We have had emergencies when we've called.  We had a dog that was hit by a car.  They are just awesome and I can't say enough.  We'll be back there in two weeks.

    DR JYL'S MOBILE VET CONNECTION
I have an older dog who was previously being treated by another competent veterinarian group. They performed a couple of surgeries that my dog needed one of which was a hip surgery. My dog was still having problems using the surgical leg and unwilling to put weight on it. However this group was unable to provide me the options to take my dog to the next step. I brought her to see Dr. Jyl with the intention of performing acupuncture for pain control and possibly regenerating any nerve damage that may have occurred. Dr Jyl believes in treating the whole animal and educated me on my dogs' nutritional needs, especially for an older dog with arthritis. She is also addressing needs for pain control, liver function, and ambulation. After two acupuncture treatments I began to notice positive improvements. I have changed her diet and now after 3 weeks can see noticable changes to her skin and coat. I have chosen to provide my dog with optimal treatments available and as such it has been quite expensive. Once Dr. Jyl is at a point where my dog does not need extensive treatment, I will continue to bring her to this clinic for follow up and care for general medical needs as Dr. Jyl also performs western medicine practices. Any future animals I own will start off with Dr. Jyl's kind and compassionate care. The staff at Dr. Jyl's is also exceptional and take care of my dog as if she were their own.

We have been taking our dog to Dr. Bill for several years now. The office staff is consistently wonderful. They remember our dog, remember our former dog, and remember us, and they provide excellent service along with personable service. Dr. Bill is a wonderful veterinarian. My dog receives better medical care than I do! Dr. Bill pays close attention to the pet, and figures out what's going on in a single visit, even when symptoms are very subtle. He listens well, tells us what he's noticing and what he's ruling out, listens when his comments bring additional info to mind, and then fully explains what he's diagnosing, what the treatment options are, and what he recommends (and why). When the dog is sick and needs follow-up, Dr. Bill does follow-up by phone (no charge) whenever feasible. He's sensitive to our pet, to us, and to our wallet, all at once. He's the best vet in town. Now, he will spend as long as he needs during an office visit - that means he's thorough and gets through the treatment plan in one visit, but he'll end up running late for his next visit. The wait can be an annoyance, but it is WELL worth it for the time he spends and the quality of care he provides.

    FETCH! Pet Care of Sacramento
Very well. Whats really nice is that Kevin emails us on how it went, if there were any problems, etc. He and his service are very responsive to last minute requests for pet sitting. He gets right back to you.

When I desperately need a REALLY GOOD vet for a dog with a complex medical condition, I asked everyone I knew, even posted a request on Craigslist, and darn near everyone who emphatically recommended their vet was seeing THIS vet. They were right. Dr. Bill is a terrific vet - he really listens, examines the animal gently, explains his diagnosis - listens if you add something - explains the condition, what to expect, and how to treat it. He recommends practical, inexpensive, non-invasive approaches first. He doesn't sell you on unnecessary, expensive treatments (though he'll perform them if you ask). He really cares about the animals. The staff is great, too. We had to put our senior dog down last year, and I can't think of a more supportive environment for such a painful experience. They had only been seeing her a few months when she crossed the rainbow bridge, but they really cared about our dog and they cared about the humans that had to say goodbye. For such an incredibly good veterinary practice, their prices are enormously reasonable. They do run behind sometimes, but the care we receive during our appointments is well worth a wait. Dr. Bill takes as much time as necessary. We've had two dogs with complex conditions, and we've never felt rushed or felt like we didn't get the full attention our pet needed.

    DR BARBARA HODGES DVM
Dr Hodges spent at least an hour with Jester each visit. I had to change Jester's food, give her probiotics and chinese herbs and she got acupuncture every 1-2 weeks. Jester took amazingly well to acupuncture and would sit there purring for 20-30 mins with the needles in her - see the attached picture. After about 2 months Jester was getting better and after 3 months she was healthy and the diarrhea was completely gone. As a bonus with the food changes her diabetes was also gone.

Due to the operation being so dangerous, I was very relieved when they performed the task. They were extremely careful and gentle and I trusted them completely. It is a husband and wife team and I just think they are great.

    Sacramento Cat Hospital
I've seen all the vets over the years (Dr Martin, Dr Irene, Dr Carter and Dr Krista) and they and the techs are all very knowledgeable about cats and care about their patients. They offer all the latest tests and treatments but also offer things that other vets don't. Good example was when my cats needed their teeth cleaned and they offered a hand-scale which was much cheaper, worked just as well and avoided having to put my cats under anesthetic. They give the cats a sedative like a kitty valium so its not stressful for them. They will take over responsibility for cats if owners cannot afford/manage required treatment and get them better and find homes for them. Recently Tony a 5 year old tabby with urinary crystals was nursed back to health, adopted and is now fine and just needs a special cat food to stop the problem returning.
