    Tenorio's Construction & Handyman Service
I had two literally rotten bathrooms that were overdue for work. One of the bathrooms had a huge scary hole in the middle. As it turns out, a previous contractor did a sloppy job in several areas that introduced a small leak that eventually rotted the bathroom floors. The Tenorio's group actually had to replace most of the pipes, and floors. At that point, we decided to make the bathrooms completely new. Much better than the previous work years ago. They were highly recommended by a friend who worked with several contractors. I did not rate the price because most other contractors that give a cheaper price may deliver cheaper results. If you need work now, here is your chance to hire them, because once I am ready, I will have them performing more work for me.

    Munoz Handyman Service
He is a general all round handyman and is outstanding. We had an issue with the roof and we had water damage in the house. They had to replace a wall and redo everything on both sides. He brought in a sheet rock man to help. The room was 50 years old and they matched the texture where it needed to be matched. You couldn't get any better. I was very, very pleased. He put on security doors and put on a couple doors. Repainted some of the outside. He said he could have done the roof too, but I didn't know that at the time. He just does everything. His price is very fair. He looks at the job and gives you a bid. Four years ago I had him redo the living room. Crown mouldings and took down the popcorn ceiling. He always has people waiting for him because he is that good. If you can get him, hire him.

He is a nice guy. A little chatty for someone I am paying to do work. I needed curtain 2 sets of curtain rods and some 3 shelves hung in the living room. In my opinion 4 hours should have been ample time to perform these tasks. He was working 90% of the time but he is slow. He didn't clean up after himself, and the job is not complete. I need to run out and get screws to finish the work, because the ones I had didn't fit. That isn't his fault, He went over and I had to pay additional money.

    Brannan Electric
Everything went well. I did not get several people to submit bids since the job was so small. I am happy that there was nothing wrong with the breaker box and I am happy to have more light in the garage. I have several other small electrical jobs that need to be done in the future and I will most likely call Brannan electrical. While the service call amount seemed a bit much I was expecting that it would take more work than it actually did and he was up front about the amount. Since the circuit is now working and I have a decent amount of light in my garage I am happy with the result.

    All City Construction
Andrew Schmidbauer of All City Construction set up an appointment to do the work but then didn't call to say he would be an hour late. Although licensed by the State of California as both general building contractor and a drywall contractor, he said he was "uncomfortable" about repairing the 1 sq. ft. water stain on the ceiling and had no other employees who could do the work. Since I had prepaid for 6 hours of labor "deal", that left only smaller tasks for him to do, including replacement of 2 outdoor light fixtures, replacing the fire alarm and air intake grille, changing 4 fluorescent tubes, replacing 6 fence slats and the spray nozzle on the kitchen faucet. I struggled to find more things for him to do since he wouldn't work on the drywall. I drove us both to Lowe's to shop for a new toilet but they didn't have any that would fit under the vanity. At another store I purchased tiny light bulbs while he napped in my car. He left after only 4 hours. When I requested a refund for the unused time, he said to ask Angie's List. But Angie's List was no help whatsoever and told me to just give him a bad review.
Later Mr. Schmidbauer agreed to return after the special order toilet arrived and if I had other things for him to do (that didn't include that drywall repair). After getting the new toilet, I contacted him and he said he was busy with other jobs. I tried to accommodate his schedule since mine was a small job but even later he said he was still busy and also moving. The next time I contacted him he said he had closed his business and moved out of state! He said I should just "let it go" because "things happen". I told him he still owes me $120 for the unused labor, but it has been several weeks and he never responded. I wish this had turned out differently because this is the first time I have had to provide such a negative review.

    Handyman Contractor

    I had called first

part of June to ask questions about Handyman doing a onsite estimate of repairing water damage baseboards and carpet pad and putting carpet back after cleaned.I spoke to a Doris (very pleasant) I asked if she would be able to have tech look at work that Farmers Ins estimated for repair and give me an estimate with there business. She said yes they could see all that was needed to be done and let me know what they would do job for.Farmers had everything covered in list they prepared, all I needed to know was if they could do job according to farmers quotes or write up a estimate according to there business. They had all the info sent to them in file form to look over before coming to home 10 days later so they could be prepared on what to find.Farmers told me they would look over Handymans estimate and compare and decide if it was reasonable.A gentleman named Mike came to home on June 12th around 1:30pm.When he came into home I asked for business card and he said he did not carry any.He said he was here to look at baseboard repair needed and I asked him if he had gone over Farmers repair estimate I sent to office. He said no he did not and that insurance companys usually underbid repair by a large amount.I told him that it was estimated for repair at around $700.00 completed with labor and materials. He asked how much they estimated the bedroom baseboard was estimated at and I told him just for board alone was $58 for a 10 foot length. He said oh no our prices are not estimated by measure or feet they are estimated at what needs to be performed. Then he said my $700 bid from farmers was way low,his would be around $900 just for baseboards and then he would have to get estimate from carpet dept to do there work of replacing pad and putting carpet back.He never wrote a estimate on site,he never measured with tape, used his feet,he never gave me id of any kind,he said he needed my email so he could send me an estimate thru email.I asked about length of time frame and he mentioned 2-3 days.He arrived on a Thursday and by Monday morning I had to call office tosee where estimate was.Agentleman Casey answered and was pleasant but when I asked why it was taking so long since they had my file in email to exactly what I needed he mentioned he would have it by email the next morning on Tuesday.I told him to nevermind the estimate,i did not get good vibes on the professional attitude I received on thurs the 12th and on Monday the 16th.I felt like I caught him off guard by calling and this Mike was not responsive to his promise.I did not appreciate the comments about insurance companys estimates, all I needed was there estimate and to see if my ins would work with them.Never happened. All I had work for was around 25-30 feet of baseboard work, paint, nails, caulking, original carpet nailed back with a 10ft by 3 ft new carpet pad. So I'm not able to comment on work performance being that all this was ,was a aptt to do estimate work on site.

    Patrick Snyder General Contractor
Patrick was amazing.  From the begininng phone calls were professional and always returned within in minutes of a message.  He was as poloite as can be, very knowledgeable and offeredmany ideas and suggestions that were very helpful. On- time was never a problem, in fact early to begin daily was a plus for me and my family. Never an inconvienence, cleaned up everything and then some.
I am extremely pleased with the outcome of the work that Patrick performed and will have him back in the future for all my repair need, and highly recommend him to everyone.

    Patrick Snyder General Contractor
    The project went very well.
We knew this would not be just a painting project where, several
people would come out and paint the house in a very short period of time. This
is not what we wanted. The overall demeanor of the contractor was exceptionally
accommodating of our time and budget constraints. The pricing of the projects
was well within our budget and below several other contractors ? none of which
would even do all the work requested without using other contractors.
The contractor had many suggestions which were all implemented.
One such recommendation included an update in the garage electrical during the
installation of the lighting that included a dawn to dusk switch for these
lights and, placing an electrical outlet on the outside of the garage to allow
for easier Christmas light installation as well as a place to plug in tools
    etc.
Of note, when the electrical recommendation was implemented, we
were unable to clean certain areas of the garage to accommodate access to several
areas. They basically cleaned our garage for us to allow for the installation
of the electrical conduit, switches and lighting. Also during this phase, there
was a wooden structure on the outside of the garage where the LED lighting was
to be installed. This basically had to be rebuilt. During demo of this area, a
large hornets nest was discovered and removed by the contractor.
Other areas of note was that they were meticulous on the cleaning
of the house in preparation for painting as well as cleanup after each phase of
the overall project. They also worked very well with the dog who was out in the back in the middle of the project.
We could not be happier with all aspects of the project and would highly
    recommend them to anyone.
