It went well. Contractor ran into scheduling difficulties, but came the next day after notifying us of the issue and gave us a discount for the inconvenience. Appreciated the professional way he handled the situation. Work was solid and he really knew what he was doing.

    Appliance Medic Service
My fridge completely stopped working just before the holidays were setting in so I had to get it fixed quickly.   I looked around and found Appliance Medic and saw good reviews on Angie's List.  I contacted them and Lamberto came out the next day.   He figured out the problem and  it might have required replacing the control board which he said would take 2-3 weeks to get shipped, but he said he thought he could fix the current board and get it working again for less money.   He took the board and returned the next day after replacing the fuse (which was soldered into the board in a strange way) and got the fridge going again!  He was friendly, professional and solved the problem quickly for less money!   Excellent service and I will definitely use Appliance Medic again!

Called and left him a message, called me back within an hour and asked me to describe the issue and dryer.  Then asked me to take a picture of the front of the dryer and model number badge on the inside of the door and text it to him so he could make sure he would have the right parts when he showed up.   Set appointment for Saturday morning, called when he was close to let me know and showed up on time.  Opened up the dryer access panel and did a complete check of it, cleaned it, ran a few checks, replaced the part, closed it up, and tested it again to make sure everything was ok.

When we talked on the phone originally he quoted me either $180 or $160, don't remember, but once he was done he told me it was only $140 because it didn't need one of the more expensive parts replaced.  Honest guy!  He could have easily kept to his original quote and I would have been none the wiser.  Gave me some maintenance tips, a flyer, and magnet and was on his way in around an hour.

Magnet went on the Freezer in the garage and he will be my first call the next time we have an issue with an appliance.

The water filling the washer for the rinse cycle did not stop, flooding the kitchen. We had to turn the water off at the faucet and turn the washer to the drain cycle. It was very late at night, so we contacted Baker's Appliance Service through the message service on Angie's List the next morning. Baker contacted us and asked me to give him the model number (he had to tell me where it was), so that he could ensure he would have the part upon arrival. He verified it and gave us a 2-hour window for arrival. He arrived timely, was pleasant and efficient. The installation of the part was difficult, since the access was limited, but he managed well and cleaned up nicely afterward. I would definitely call him for any other appliance repairs we need.

    Shubin's Appliance Service Inc
Very prompt return call. Asked for model number. Called back to say could get part today and come out in 20 minutes. Arrived on time. Seemed knowledgeable. Worked fast. Gave Angie's list discount +. The only problem was the labor charge seemed excessive compared to to other services used in the past and for amount of time spent. Approximately 1/2 hour here. Even if time spent in picking up part was added in at 1/2 hour and including discount that would be $139 hour. (add says discount applies to labor). Would research other companies in the future before calling again.

The technician was fast, efficient, personable and professional. Before the service call on the phone the technician talked me through the problem to troubleshoot the problem and see if I could determine the issue and fix the problem. I could have as it turned out but that was MY problem. I would definitely use this service provider again.

He did a great job and I would highly recommend him! Don estimates what the work will cost and then gets the supplies before he shows up to do the work. The final charge is his estimate plus supplies, but he provides the receipt and there is no mark up on his work. He has a lot of experience doing a multitude of different types of construction work so he is very versatile.

I called and set up an appointment and we scheduled them to come two days later. Their original estimate over the phone was $150 so it was nice to find out that the final cost was a bit less. Scott was very professional, met us at the scheduled time, performed all the work and cleaned up in about 20 minutes.

Mr. Baker accurately determined the cause of the refrigerator problem to be a defective circuit board.  The repair was complicated by the fact that the refrigerator manufacturer no longer supplied that replacement part.  Fortunately Mr. Baker found a rebuilt board that worked. The refrigerator was up and running after being out of service for about three days. thanks to Mr. Baker.

After calling around to a few appliance repair companies, I choose Baker Appliances. He was the most informative and personable person over the phone. Was not disappointed. He knows his stuff!
