    All Star Moving Inc
This could have been a great experience, but it wasn't. Our first mover lost their workman's comp insurance and canceled us two days before the move. We were scrambling to find another mover and All Stars fit us in at the last minute. That was a lifesaver to say the least since the buyer of our home was moving in the same day we moved out. We were very thankful that Daniel fit us in.
The price for moving was $102.00 per hour for a two man crew with a truck-4 hour minimum. Daniel was pushing for a three man crew at $165.00 per hour. I agreed since he was doing us a favor at the minute. I also didn't want him to cancel us.
The movers were scheduled to arrive at 9:00 am and didn't get there until 11:00 AM. Daniel called the morning of the move and asked if we could pay for a 4 man crew. We told him no because we originally wanted a 2 man crew and agreed to pay for a 3 man crew.
They finally arrived 2 hours late with a 4 man crew. Apparently, the 4th man was a trainee and we weren't going to pay for him. When the crew lead started talking to me the extra charges came out. Keep in mind the extra charges weren't mentioned prior to them arriving. It would have been great to know about these charges beforehand.
    1. There is a double mileage/time fee from their location to the old house and then to the new house (something like that). The crew lead then said he can "work" with me on the price.
    2. There is an extra charge for them to wrap items items with cellophane wrap or paper. Fine - let people know this up front.
    3. The crew lead said there should be a tip for each crew member @ $30.00 per member. $120 including the trainee. (Daniel later said we didn't have to pay a tip if we didn't want to, but it gets better.)
So, the loading of the truck begins. Bear in mind I've seen professional movers before and the precise packing of the truck is quite impressive. Not one inch of truck space is lost. Not with this crew. There was really no rhyme or reason as to
how everything was loaded. So, 1/2 of the items were simply squeezed in.
The 4 man crew was excruciatingly slow. Much of it had to do with figuring out how to pack the truck or they just moved really slow. There was no hustle at all. The key to this is the longer they take to move you, the more you pay for the hours. Our house was three bedrooms with almost no furniture to move because we sold 90% of it before we moved. So, almost everything was boxes. Needless to say it took 4 guys 3.5 hours to load the truck. There went my 4 hour hour minimum @ $165 per hour. So, without a word they started jumping in the truck to leave with a bunch of stuff sitting on the driveway! I asked them about the things on the driveway. The lead said the items wouldn't fit and gave me the look of "if you wanna pay for us to come back." Fortunately, my neighbor was standing there and told them the items could easily fit in the truck. They opened to truck and my neighbor fitted everything in. Remember when I said they weren't very good about packing the truck? Perfect example.
Because they were 2 hours late we were sitting in Friday traffic to the new house 30 miles away. We arrived at the new house and the unloading began. This is when the crew lead approached me and said the actual charges would be more, but he could work a deal for me. He would call the owner and stop the time at 6 hours. Then, I could pay his very slow 4 man crew another (money saving) rate of $25 per crew member and they could be done in 2 hours. So, if I paid them the extra $200 + $120 tip = $320 in cash to the crew. Remember, this included the trainee getting him cut. he also cut out 1/2 of the mileage/time. Of course, I agree rather than pay the additional $495 regular charge.
The owner took my credit card information over the phone and that was that. I had to run to an ATM to get the cash for the special side deal.
Overall, did the company save my hide at the last minute? Yes. Did they move me to another location? Yes.
Unfortunately, the experience was marred by the hidden costs and slowness of the crew at $165 per hour. The per hour fees are calculated at the pace they move, which was so slow. So, you're really at the mercy of them and the clock just runs and runs. Also, the back door dealing was like working with a shady company and/or crew that made for an expensive lesson in finding out about all the charges and the integrity of the company you hire. I really felt like i was in a no win situation and it cost way more than it should have. Buyer beware.

    King Relocation Services
King Relocation Services came to our house, boxed all of our belongings, transported our belongings and unloaded everything in the respective rooms. They boxed our entire house in under 4 hours on a Thursday and moved everything to the new house in under 5 hours on the Friday. They performed all of this on short notice as we placed the call that Tuesday. The company was very professional and we were very satisfied with the service. I would definitely use them for any future moves.

    Excalibur Van Lines, LLC
I had a hard time deciding what moving company to go with as the first time I moved it went real bad I thought that they would all would be about the same so I just went with the one that charged the lowest at the time. I regretted it so I made sure that I got the best I can but with a reasonable price then I came across Excalibur had many positive reviews and a price that was competitive to the rest. Booking was very easy and the sales rep was very nice and easy to talk to. On the day of the move the movers called me a half hour before they arrived to let me know they were on the way. Everything was well wrapped and they crated our TV that they took of the mount on the wall. As they arrived to the new place we had drinks for them as they deserved it for their fast pace work we even offered them to get them food but they said very politely  thanks but they had their own lunch. The unload was very easy had them put the furniture in the house and most of the boxes in the garage organized for me to look through. Very satisfied with the move I appreciate their hard work thanks.

    Dirt Cheap Mover
He arrived on the day of the move but left right away when I wanted to confirm to him to be careful of the new wood floors at the destination house. I just wanted to be assured that he will do his best to protect the property and cover any damages as a result of his work. He kept talking and diverting away from this liability and kept telling me that he has been doing this work for many many years and none had complained and that there had been no accident nor damages. He got frustrated when I kept asking him if he can confirm his liability and eventually he drove away just like that. Prior to the moving day he said he was going to bring with him 3 staff for the move. He arrived with only 2 staff. He was also late on the day of the move.

    Dirt Cheap Mover
The service, price, punctuality, and demeanor were all excellent. The only problem I had was that Steve knew very well that the job may have required two people not one. He quoted me $150 if the the job required 2 people, $125 if the job only entailed the muscle of one person. When scheduling the appointment, he did tell me that was going to call one of his employees to meet him at the site. When he realized that the job in fact required 2 people, he was by himself and went around the community to solicit a neighbor to help him bring the washing machine down the stairs. The lady at the residence from where the machine was picked up called and told me what had happened. When Steve delivered the machine to me, he made no mention about the fact that he asked the help of an stranger. Instead, he replied that the pick-up when great and proceeded to charge me the higher $150 fee. There is a myriad of risks he took not to mention the omission of fact to me, his customer. I will not hire him or his company again.

    21st Century Van Lines Inc
From my first call to Robert to the moment I said goodby to the guys. This was a pleasant esperience. I was particularly concerned about my mothers piano. It arrived safe and sound. Both of the pieces were large and acward the safe was very heavy. The guys handled them both with out any damage. I would recommend them and use them again.

They were very careful handling all items.  The task at hand required skill because they were required to remove items on the fourth floor.  An elevator was not available.
