ASOD Home GroupWe were so fortunate to find SOD home group to redesign our house. It has been a while since we did any remodeling or updates. Oren was attentive to each and every detail during the work. The type of materials, the paint of the walls, the combination of the cabinets and more and more… were picked up one by one to deliver us a ‘look like new‘ home. The whole coordination of who will work and when, what will they do daily, weekly and monthly – was managed by Oren. The office staff always made sure that the schedule and perfection are the top priority and they kept informing us regarding each and every step of the work. We cannot thank all the people who did the work and manage to complete it on time even though we are in a middle of a pandemic. ASOD Home GroupWe recently completed a significant renovation to our house, including an overhaul of our kitchen and two bathrooms. SOD Home Group did a superb job ensuring this renovation was completed quickly, safely and beautifully with the highest standards possible. Oren, who is unflappable, an excellent communicator, led the renovation and pays great attention to detail. He should honestly teach a course on time management cause the guy knows how to very juggle several projects without missing a beat. We were overwhelmed with the prospects of the renovation, but Oren allayed all fears and led a great team of professionals to make the renovation a success, and it was completed fairly quickly given the size and extent of renovation. Oren and his team’s wealth of experience came handy in tackling our bathrooms that are smaller. One bathroom was really dark and felt closed in. Oren suggested adding a sky tunnel, something that we never would have considered possible, and initially decided against. However, we changed our minds, and we were so glad we did! The sky tunnel made a tremendous difference, opening up the lighting in the bathroom. I sit this as an example of how the team never pressured us to add on extra costs but would work together to find excellent solutions that were reasonable. Oren would lay out all options and explain the context behind each, but always defer to us without pressure on what decision to make. We really appreciated that as any renovation, particularly with an older house, is bound to have issues come up. It also showed Oren’s flexibility since we initially waved off the suggestion, but then later came around to it. We could write several more paragraphs regarding how incredible the entire SOD Home Group team is and cannot stress enough how grateful we are to all of them for making this a stress free effort. We look forward to working with Oren and the rest of his team again when we opt to renovate other parts of our house in the future.- Gerald B.

We worked with Oren and Jhon on the design and details of our remodeling project (New Kitchen, two Bathrooms, Floor entry and more). The 3D design was so good that we could see how our home will look like after the design. They went step by step with us and explained in details what we are getting, how and how much. After 4 months of remodeling (with delays because of COVID-19) we had our entire home remodeled and we are so happy about the process and the result outstanding quality and clean job.. ASOD Home GroupWe were searching for contractors the same time we were. A friend of us recommended we should meet Oren. From that first meeting, Oren and his crews are punctual, detailed, creative and helpful. We bought an old house and we did a complete interior rehab including moving walls around to dramatically reshape rooms. Oren helped us to take our vision and into a reality. We worked through some choices to manage cost and the delivery of the work, just finished, has been excellent. Estimated time was 82 days. We finished in 102 and that included some extra time to do additional work (like replacing heat ducts while the ceiling was open). We’re 100% satisfied with our experience and would work with Oren again without hesitation.- Dorothy K.

Hiring SOD Home Group was half the battle, but thankfully we found them. Came a long way filtering contractors and doing background check but it all came together. APrecision Built ConstructionI called Jason at Precision Built Construction again as I always to, to construct a "Tough Shed" type building on the side of our home to store garden tools and a special generator to power our home in the event of a PG&E power shutoff. It was perfection! Painted to match the house, it will likely add to the value of our home when we sell.- Steve S.

AWest Coast Windows & Doors IncAfter talking with a couple of window replacement companies, we went with West Coast Windows & Doors. Richard Beil, the owner, came to our house and measured all the windows and doors to be replaced. He was detail-oriented and suggested a few improvements over what we were thinking. Richard suggested frosted glass and double-hung windows for the bathrooms, and security bolts for some doors and windows. We went with Anlin windows because they were able to provide a single window to replace the large picture window in our living room. I had tried to research window replacement brands but there's very little reliable information out there. I felt pretty comfortable with both West Coast Windows & Doors and Anlin because they've both been around for three decades. Joey, the crew leader, and Ramuel showed up on the first day. They replaced two sliding-glass doors and several windows. The next day they replaced most of the rest of windows. On the third day, Joey and another fellow showed up to install the remaining windows and do the finish work for the installation. It was a long day but they finished everything. And they all wore masks during this crazy COVID time. The new windows are doing well and have fixed our two major complaints about the old windows. First, they've greatly reduced the amount of noise we hear from outside the house. It's a lot quieter in the house now. Second, they're very energy efficient. Our old windows had a single, thin piece of glass and aluminium frames, so they let in heat in summer and cold in the winter. The new windows are double-paned and have vinyl frames so our house is now cooler in the summer and warmer in winter. Joey noticed a manufacturing defect in one of the windows. Anlin send a guy with a truck who came out and quickly fixed it at no cost to us. Anlin provides a warranty that covers anything that happens to the windows and doors, including accidental glass breakage as long as we own the house. The warranty is transferrable to the next owner. West Coast Windows also provides a warranty for their workmanship. Never having been through this before, I was impressed by how quickly our windows and doors were replaced and with the quality of the new ones. We're very happy with West Coast Windows & Doors and Anlin.- Anthony M.

ATool Time Home ImprovementI received excellent timely service on a couple of major handyman projects from Minh at Tool Time Home improvement. Terry the scheduler/coordinator is easy to work with and worked closely with me to understand and advise on some difficult projects. AI got 5 estimates and Approved Contractors was the only company that was certified by James Hardie to sell and install its Hardie Fiber Cement siding and trim. They removed my old wood siding, replaced the old insulation, put up a Hardie Wrap moisture barrier, and installed the new siding and trim (including around the windows). The siding I chose was wood-grain 7" Hardie Plank Horizontal style in Pearl Grey. The trim I chose was smooth white which is very crisp looking against the Pearl Grey siding. My house is approximately 2700 sq ft. They installed Color Plus Soffit James Hardie Fiber Cement siding on all eaves of the house. They also wrapped the existing facia. They wrapped the wood around the garage doors as well as the only 2 windows that had wood frames (neither window opens, just plain glass). I live very close to the foohthills in Glendora. During the Colby Fire I had some damage from embers on my canvas awning, patio chairs, patio cover, as well as on my synthetic turf. I have replaced the wood patio cover, and now every other wood surface on the house is covered with non-flamable material. The two sides and back of the house are stucco. Approved Contractors gave me a 4 year workmanship warranty. There is a 15 year Color Plus warranty from James Hardie, this includes fading. There is also a 30 year warranty on materials through James Hardie. I am able to recommend Approved Contractors without reservation. I have had a lot of work done over the 25 years I have owned my home, and Approved Contractors provided excellent work. They were easy to work with, very responsive, and didn't waste time. The office staff as well as the workmen were professional and couldn't have been nicer.

APatrick was very patient and provided quick responses to ALL my questions. I had many since this was the first time for us to paint/stain the exterior of our house. He provided great suggestions for paint/stain color and explained the process /steps that would be taken to complete the project. Because the exterior of my house is wood shingles, it was a more complicated process to pressure wash and treat the wood before staining and painting. Patrick's team was very professional, courteous and did outstanding work. They completed the work in the estimated time and cleaned up very well when they were finished. I would definitely hire them again.

FDid not hire due to conflicting information on Humberto's availability. He did not call back when he said he would. When I called him to get the work schedule finalized, he said "next week". Sunday evening, he texted to say Monday at 8:30 am which I didn't have available so I suggested aft er 12 noon. He said he couldn't do it then so I suggested Tuesday or any other day that week. He then texted to say I needed to find someone else. He wasted an entire week of my time and I needed the work done by the end of that week. I'm now having a hard time finding anyone due to a tight schedule. Very unprofessional and disappointing
