    Home Depot Inc
    Home Depot provided us the best price for the General Electric over-the-range microwave oven we wanted. They delivered the microwave during the time window they specified and installed it. The only problem lies with the delivery time. Home Depot tells you when it will deliver and install the appliance. If you are not available, delivery is delayed until until there is a time that both you and they can make. The delivery time window is 3 hours.

    When they installed the counter, it turns out that Pacific SAles
    installed the plywood underneath it improperly -- they did not cut the
    wood holes for the faucet to be big enough. the faucet does not "sit" or
    connect properly, so it is always loose.
    The problem was hard to
    diagnose -- i thought it was a plumbing error and hired 3 different
    plumbers before i figured out what was going on.
    I notified
    Pacific SAles about the problem. they did nothing. i called, wrote
    emails, contacted their national "hot line." they would talk to me, say
    that they were looking into it, but never took any corrective action. 
    Anna Jose is the person in charge of plumbing. She completely lacks
    professionalism and a sense of providing quality customer sevice.
    I paid $7000 for a counter and sink and faucet, and I have never had a faucet that works properly.
    DO NOT HIRE PACIFIC SALES. THEY DO NOT STAND BY THEIR WORKMANSHIP.

    I went here on the advice of my contractor. The salesperson, Andy, was VERY helpful and went out of his way to give me good information and good prices. HOWEVER, after the sale it all fell apart. Delivery was made on Friday, with installation to be on Sat. I asked the delivery men on Fri, "aren't you supposed to install the fridge?" they said no, the installers would the next day. The installers said they did not install the fridge, it should have been the deliverymen. I spent an entire Saturday at home trying to get it solved. Andy tried, to a certain extent to help, but in the end he said the deliverymen told their dispatch that I declined the installation (a complete lie). They would not go out of their way to fix this. I was supposed to rearrange MY schedule to fit theirs. They said they need a small truck to get to my house but they delivered all the appliances in a big truck. They said I declined installation which I did not. They said they would "request a new installation" date. They should DEMAND an installation date ASAP. Now I have a large fridge sitting in the middle of my kitchen and it won't get installed for an entire WEEK and i STILL have to take off another day of work for installation because they "can't find anyone who will install it when it's convenient for me." I am very disappointed because I felt that their sales was EXCELLENT but their delivery really is awful and then they don't stand up for the customer. Find somewhere else to shop

    Guess I shouldn't have been surprised when my 35+ year-old refrigerator died at an inconvenient moment. (Is there ever a good time for such an adventure.) This happened on a Thursday so I was shopping in a panic on Friday. I didn't really have time to shop or wait around for deliveries, and I certainly didn't want to wait over the weekend for a new one, something Home Depot expected me to do, plus a few days. I arrived in the General Appliance store around noon, in a pouring rain, between work meetings. Patrick was calm, professional, and business-like. He showed me what they had that would fit into my very particular space and wondered if I would like it delivered that afternoon? Would I! Barely enough time for one last work task on the way home and had almost everything out of the old one when two polite young men arrived to remove it. Despite the still driving rain, they had it out and the new one in in less than an hour and all I had left to do was to sort out what food to keep and what seemed too warm too long. If I could give them A+ for Responsiveness, Punctuality, and Professionalism, I would. The price was comparable to other stores (besides Home Depot, I tried a bit of online shopping). Some places include delivery/take away in the price, some don't and it's not always clear up front, so price comparisons take some research and questioning. The delivery team arrived within 5 minutes of the promised time. Quality of my new Frigidaire? Check back in 35 years for an update. It's fine so far and I'm getting used to the new shelf arrangement.

    I found Sears to be reliable and responsive when I need an appliance repair. I also call them because this is where I purchased the item. I had to call them a couple of times to fix the same item. It doesn't cost me anything, since it was under warranty. I would switch to someone else's service, but I am able to get free repairs with Sears because of my warranty. I will continue to get service from Sear's in the future.

    The first salesman, Gene, was fine, he was very respectful and informative and gave us our space to discuss. The second salesman, Sammy, was a typical salesman. He promised us the world, he can get us the appliances right away, but then, when checking the computer, realized, it would be 10 days later. Now we've received two calls from an administrator letting us know of the delays with no apologies or offers to fix the inconvenience. We are working to get a refund for the stove we needed for the holidays and we won't have until too late.

    The first salesperson who helped me was new and didn't have much knowledge of products. The second salesperson who helped me was very knowledgeable and professional. I bought a w/d set and a floor model dishwasher on his recommendation. W/D was new and delivered promptly with no problems. The dishwasher showed up with a new scratch and missing a bunch of parts. I had a very difficult time getting Ray (the salesperson I dealt with) to respond and get me the missing parts. Two months after sporadic emails and calls that weren't getting the parts to me, I tried again and found out that Ray no longer worked there. The contact for parts, Mo, helped me locate the parts and got back to me very promptly from this point on. Ray's lack of responsiveness may have been an anomaly but clearly the sales rep you get makes a big difference.

    The saleswoman was pleasant, knowledgable and helpful. Delivery was convenient and all 3 appliances were delivered in one trip for only $50.00 total. The floor model was well wrapped up and all parts and manuals were included in it.
