Gutter Repair reviews in Novato

    Rigdeline Roofing
Ridgeline Roofing replaced our old asphalt shingle roof, including the plywood, and gutters. Sam and Peggy, the owners, were very professional and easy to work with.  Their pricing was competitive, but not the cheapest quote we received. We wanted the job done right, and they used materials with a lifetime guarantee. After the work was completed, we did have a small issue with the gutters, but they sent someone out very quickly to make it right. All in all, we were very pleased, and would not hesitate to recommend them.

    Roof Rx
The inspection was performed and received quotes additional services like cleaning gutters and such but the prices requestes was way too high to consider using them for this service.
They came back about a month later to fix few loose tiles on the side of the roof. They fixed the cement tile tiles by putting nailed at the bottom of the tiles. Unfortunately, I was not present during the repair of the tiles. I though it was a little strange when I cam back home and saw the result of the repair. I got other contractors to come and inspect the house for other work and they all mentioned this does not look right.
I would not recommend this company. They were ok with price on the original deal on Angie's list but I am not sure how long this repair will last.

    Nor-Cal Maintenance
David and his crew arrived promptly, cleaned and inspected my gutters and pointed out issues.  They also inspected my roof and let me know there were cracked tiles that needed to be replaced by my roofer. They cleaned up perfectly after they completed the job.
David even took pictures of defects left by the original installer.  And, he offered to return and make the repairs in the event the original installer did not take care of them. I would absolutely use Nor-Cal again.

    Modern Method Roofing & Construction
They are excellent.  They did a fine job. They came out, looked at it and gave us an estimate. They saw how the builder had done a poor job and the water ended up piling in one area so they fixed that. They are a little pricey but they do a good job. I don't mind paying a little more for a good roofer.

    YORKSHIRE ROOFING
Yorkshire was hired to reroof 58 homes in our HOA.  As a Board member I was part of the decision making process. They out bid 4 other roofers.  The price, professionalism, experience and quality of work were the reasons for choosing Yorkshire over the other bidders.  The owner of this family run company was on site every day of this large and complex project directing his crew ensuring a quality job. His attention to detail was a big plus.  Some days he was on site late into the evening to ensure quality work, clean up and making sure we were water tight as this project began in the winter months.
Our homes have unique architecture with many siding to roof junctions that created challenging situations which were resolved effectively with custom made flashing.  At the homeowner's direction and approval he repaired any siding issues that comprised the water tight envelope. He offered homeowners skylights, solar tubes and gutters at the owner's discretion at very reasonable prices.  He added guitar guards at a reasonable price.
He has a stable crew and treats them with great respect.  His crews are fast and efficient and clean up everyday.  He helped guide the HOA Board with the best roofing shingle choices.  He is also an expert of flat roof installations.  The HOA has used 3 other roofing companies in the past and by far Yorkshire is the best.  I highly recommend Yorkshire Roofing and would recommend them to anyone considering roofing a single home. a commercial project or large HOA.

    SUNSHINE GUTTERS
I first saw and purchased this offer from Sunshine Gutters via Angie's List ($213 off) last August, but we were unable to have the work done until the end of March.  Sunshine Gutters worked with us last Fall to nail down every last detail of the work we wanted done, then agreed to set if aside for us until we were ready to proceed with the installation. They did a fantastic job and the new gutters work perfectly and look good as well  They were incredibly courteous, helpful and professional throughout the entire process, from our first contact with them until the successful completion of the work.  I couldn't recommend them more highly.

    Northern Pacific Roofing Inc
Of six estimates, the estimate from Northern Pacific was the most detailed and informative. They even came with "Training Aids," to show the process and materials involved in roof replacement. Besides the research I had done, the information from Northern Pacific helped me make an informed decision regarding the roof I wanted. Additionally, Northern Pacific was one of only two "elite" contractors in the area recommended by the shingle manufacturer which enabled me to receive a warranty not provided by the other contractors I spoke with. And, based on the other estimates I received, Northern Pacific Roofing was competitive with all of the other contractors. Additionally, they informed me of a rebate offered to Veterans from GAF/ELK.

Because of the information from the estimate, and listed on the contract, there were no surprises when a small amount of dry-rot was found and 30 year old flashing had to be replaced. The project was efficiently handled and completed in two-and-one-half days. The clean-up left everything immaculate each day and at the end of the project there was nothing for me to do but enjoy the beautiful new roof.

    Mr Patch Roofing of Marin
It was a terrible experience and now the roofer won't respond to come out and fix it. It has been ongoing for almost 4 years and I have been patient. I thought about suing him in small claims court but he only keeps a post office box and he has been very evasive. I have been so patient. He promises to come out again to do the repairs and then never shows. I gave him 3 jobs on a house that he did work on and it was okay and I was happy with it. Then I gave him a job to work on my girlfriend's roof for a tar and gravel flat roof and immediately had problems. That has not been completely resolved for 4 years. He did another flat roof on this property and that has been okay. The problems have consistently been on her residence. I have probably placed over 50 phone calls and have had a dozen conversations on the phone. After a year he finally came out and said that he didn't know it was that bad. After the first of this year he came out and said that when the rains stopped he would come back. We haven't had very much rain. He said that there in his experience there is always one particular house that he has to come back on. He said not to worry and he would take care of us forever. He said not to worry about it and he would be out the next day. He never showed up. He said he had the flu and would be out on Thursday and never showed. It has been consistently like that. I really only wanted the problem solved. He is a very smooth talker. His mouth is full of promises but his hands are full of disappointment. I understand that mistakes occur but it is how it is handled afterwards. He tried to correct the mistakes once but it didn't work and it continued to deteriorate to the point that there is mold inside the house now. The entryway door into the house has deteriorated because the water from the roof would pour off the roof above the main entryway and slide down the screen and hit the threshold so water pours on my head when I walk in and out of the house. He put a gutter there but didn't install it correctly so the water goes behind the gutter and doesn't do any good. It is really, really difficult. I had several other estimates and he came in lower on this job because of the prior work I had given him.

    SUNSHINE GUTTERS
The estimator who I believe is also the owner showed up on time to estimate my repairs.  I'd had another provider come out to perform an estimate and it felt like I needed to point out deficiencies that the Sunshine estimator was overlooking.  I know that this can be either the result of different experience levels and/or a subjective judgement in many cases.  However, it seemed like the items I had to point out where fairly obvious for someone that knew gutters.  For example, being able to observe that one of my downspouts was installed at too shallow of an angle seems less subjective and more general knowledge.  Regardless, we discussed how he intended to complete the job and he committed to sending me an estimate within 3 days.  I never received the estimate, so I went with another provider.

    Wedge Roofing
They were very polite and nice but we did not use them. They gave a very reasonable bid but we decided to pay more money for a metal roof. They were very courteous and professional, and they went around with me to explain everything.
