    I Construction & Structural Inc
Called iconstruction and got an immediate response and an estimate. The work was completed when we were out of town. The owner took responsibility for measuring and ordering the custom mantels, door and hardware. The site was prepped to protect the floors and the site clean-up was thorough. The projects required dry wall work and painting and the finished job looks original - it is perfect. We received pictures of the completed work. iconstruction always does a wonderful job and even more than is required, like replacing a beeping battery and proactively redoing the finish of the decking installed the previous year. The project was completed on time and on estimate.

    LAR Construction & Remodeling
We used LAR construction & remodeling on our recent large scale remodeling project last month where we had them design and build our custom modern kitchen, completely remodel the laundry room and 2 bathrooms. The workmanship that they did for the whole remodeling was unbelievable. Everything came out completely wonderful... We cant be happier with th results of our remodeling product. Thank you

    Green Bay Remodeling Inc
Green Bay Remodeling did a fantastic job on my home renovation. They picked up the project after another builder left me hanging and they completed it on time and on budget. Inon, Pancho and team were very professional and communicative. They were easy to get a hold of when I needed them and did quality work. I will definitely work with them again and I recommend them to others.

    Tom Pope Electric
Terrible follow up, terrible follow through, terrible professionalism, net net, he fraudulent in his business practices! I feel completely let down and "had" especially considering he stated he would be out and then started with a train of excuses. Do yourself a favor, don't call this guy for electrical work. I will be filing with the Better Business Bureau and potentially taking him to court.

Excellent work done as described within the cost estimate provided. Jim could not have been more professional from beginning to end.when possible, he offered repair options for the task at hand and associated cost for each. He arrived on time, did what he said he would do, and provided an invoice that matched his original estimate. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a seamless experience.

    Tom Pope Electric
I live in Tiburon and scheduled an appointment with Tom Pope to upgrade the service panel to a a rental house in Novato. Drove the 20 minutes to meet him. Waited for two hours and he did not show up. No phone call, no response to voice mails. Very unprofessional.

Sam has been my first-call contractor for over a year now. He first came out to install a steel entry door in my garage. His response, price, and work was all top notch. Since then, I've consulted on him for a number of projects, and he always gets the job if available. Sam is the ultimate professional and a master craftsman. His business is set up nicely with email invoices, and he takes credit cards via online transactions. As a single female, first time homeowner that loves power tools, it has been a blessing to find a contractor that doesn't mind showing the ropes on various home improvement and maintenance tasks. I went absolutely nuts turning my garage into a man cave, complete with laminate floors, fancy molding and trim everywhere. Sam helped me out every step of the way, didn't mind my nosing around, and taught me some tricks about edging and coping. Probably the best thing about this guy is his attention to detail and work ethic: if he touches something, he's going to try and make it the best that it can possibly be.

I have had the cabinet transformer repaired twice before by other electricians and it worked for less than a month each time. This time it has continued to work several months later. I'm very pleased with the high quality work he performed.

    Quality First Home Improvement, Inc.
I attended a high pressure sales presentation at my son's house.  The company was asked to simply update a previous quote for a roofing job.  Instead, a sales person showed up just before dinner and had to be asked to leave twice after launching into a long-winded spiel about the quality of the company and its products.  The spiel was after a re-measuring of the roof.  The presentation included  the sales tactic of "if you sign now, you get this special reduced price!"  Even that price was over the top.
As a retired construction professional myself, I got the distinct impression that this guy did not know what he was talking about and was just looking for a fat commission.
Bottom line: this company apparently tries to be an all-around remodeling company.  Basically hiring subs to do the work while they collect money as the middle men.  Especially in this situation, it would be better to deal with recommended roofers.  I would not use this company for anything!

02/24/14 We call GE to ask for authorized repair and report that our GE Mongram refrigerator isnt cooling. They recommend AE.
    1) 02/28/14 First repair visit. The repair person charges us $436.49, which includes ordering two parts, which were never installed.
    2) 02/28 Parts arrive, repairman comes out and says that the fan isnt running, says we dont need to install the two parts ordered, and orders a replacement fan motor. Repairman says we will get a refund of 138.52 for the parts he did not install.
    3) 03/06/14 Fan motor installed. The auto-defrost does notwork and the fridge ices up again.  We call for another appointment
    4) 03/12/14 Our 3rd different repair person comes out and says whoever installed the Fan motor (AE) somehow broke the mother board so we need a new one and he orders it, ensuring us that we wouldnt have to pay for it since it was their fault.
    5) 03/17/14 Our 4th repair person appears and installs the new mother board. After a few days, the fridge ices up again.  Exact same symptoms as the first call.
    6) 3/22/14 Yet another repair person comes out and replaces the auto-defrost thermostat, says the bi-metal heating elements almost never need replacement.  After a few days, the fridge ices up again.  Exact same symptoms as the first call.
    7) 04/02/14 Yet another repairman visits sometime between 3/22 and 4/2 and orders a new bi-metal heating element, and it is install on 4/2. After a few days, the fridge ices up again.  Exact same symptoms as the first call.
    8) 05/01/14  Between 04/02 and 05/01 the unit ices up again and this time I manually defrost the unit by unplugging it.  After returning from a vacation, I call AE again to set up another appointment because the unit still is not functioning. Exact same symptoms as the first call. A repairman comes out orders another new thermostat, says the one previous installed by AE did not match the recommended part number.
Sometime during this period I get a call from a AE customer service department (Brenda 916-342-7544) to ask about our experience.  I tell our story and ask where the refund is.  She says she will try to expedite it and gives me her number and says to call back if our problems continue.  Since that time I have called back numerous times and only get a generic voicemail message and have never had a call back.
    9) On 5/5 the new thermostat is installed. After a few days, the fridge ices up again.  Exact same symptoms as the first call.
On about 5/20/ 14 We receive a refund check for 138.52.
    10) On 5/17 I call again, a repairman visits on 5/23. I communicate the history and problem for the umpteenth time and the repairman says it might be the internal wiring on the unit, but that they dont do that repair.
AE has never repaired the problem.
We have paid at least 436.39 138.52  = $297.87 and my problem is still the same as it was over 3 months ago!
We are also DISPUTING an invoice for 174.88.
Please keep in mind that throughout the  time period 2/24 - 5/17/14, our refrigerator will not auto defrost, so every 5-7 days we have to use portable coolers, are buying ice and throwing out spoiled food.  In addition, we both work, so each time we
have an appt. one of us has to stay home from work for a half-day.
