    Healthy Duct Cleaning

Technician was friendly but extremely late ... showed me a picture of traffic jam... then proceeded to pressure me into paying way more for a UV light cleaner which I have since found deals for costing WAY less.  he 'borrowed' a power strip then come to find out it was a permanent fix for putting in the UV Light thing and it's hanging off my furnace now.   And tried to get me to pay a ton to take apart my furnace to clean the fans then he cleans them without taking it apart in just a short time... I felt ripped off after looking up online the UV Light cleaner costs...

THEN, about 7 days later he calls saying he is coming to put in the furnace filter he didn't have when he came the first time and to refund some money but never shows up!!! Probably got my number mixed up with another customer?

leaves me not wanting any more deals from Angie's list!

    Environmental Pure Air
After receiving a solicitation in the
mail for a $59.,00 duct cleaning from
Environmental Pure Air, an appointment with them. It was stated that the (highly magnified) dust mytes on the
Environmental Pure Air advertizement made them call. A service technician, Tony, from Environmental Pure
Air came to their home and proceeded to sell un-necessary, overly
    restrictive and non-applicable air filtration.
    The 25x16x1 electrostatic filter
installed in easy access filter rack under furnace is very restrictive, but reasonable. Double filtering which (placed by technician
    for Environmental Pure Air) by
installing a second 24x14 electrostatic filter in abandoned filtergrille in
hallway ceiling is too restrictive and not recommended by any furnace
manufacturer and can damage furnace. Technician also installed a U.V. light. If the application of this filter wasnt
unnecessary enough, the non-code compliant 115V wiring installed to power the
    UV light was.
Power cord was routed through thermostat wire access
alongside low voltage wires and not with romex style connector. The power cord was then routed into 115V
junction box by bending metal cover and forcing wire through 2 sharp metal
edges. A hazzard to say the least, and
    very unprofessional.

If that wasnt enough, it was wired
directly to 115V supply so that U.V. light was on 24 hours a day, seven days a
week. This wastes energy, shortens the
life of the U.V. light and minimal benefit.
This should have been wired properly and directly to main circuit board
which has terminals provided for powered air cleaners. Unfortunately, this was not the worst of
    Environmental Pure Air workmanship.
    During cleaning of blower
    compartment, the blower assembly was
    removed. This required wiring harnesses,
low vloltage wiring and condensate drain hoses to be disconnected and
reconnected. One of the 3 condensate
drain hoses was not re-connected, but instead, deliberately stuffed behind
circuit board, causing acidic condensation to short-out board. There is no physical way drain hose can end
up there without being delibrately placed there. I have no doublt that if had
called Environmental Pure Air, after they noticed water leaking, that they
would have been taken advantage of again.

    Chim-Chimney Sweep
I was very pleasantly surprised at how hard these guys worked and by how thorough they were. They seemed so intent on getting every bit of gunk out of our ductwork that you'd almost think they were being paid by the ounce of material they removed!
