    American Home Improvement Inc
Im an experienced homeowner and I have made several remodeling projects at my past houses. I must say that American home improvement is one of the best home improvement companies Ive come across in years. My first contact with American home improvement was on a phone call I got after filling out a request online to get a quote for a remodeling request that I had. My goal was to remove the existing floor at my garage and to have a new stained concrete and an epoxy coat including to add cabinets all around my garage for my work and tools. My garage is a 3 car garage and I have enough space so it was all possible. I met with several contractors before I contacted and hired American Home Improvement but each one had a different issue that caused me to skip them. I met with American home improvement close to the end of the meetings with all the other ones and they left my house with great impression. They knew what they were talking about AND they didnt force me to sign anything. The remodeling was a mix of their and my ideas that at the end informed the final remodeling. When the remodeling work started everything went great and fast. I was happy with the entire way the work become. Thank You American home improvement for all your help.

    Pacific Outdoor Living
We contracted pacific outdoor living a few years ago to re do our backyard. We let it go over the years and needed a revamp. They tore out all the old grass and the old deck/pergola. We received the perfect design for a tropical backyard with palm trees, jacarandas, new grass, and new concrete. This was a while back otherwise we probably would have done drought tolerant. Anyways the backyard was a dream by the time the lights were installed. It was not only a pleasure to hang out during the day but also at night with the comfortable ambiance and fire pit. I have recommended POL to many friends and family since and will consider them again in the future.

G&L Design Building & Landscape Inc
G&L had quite a job in front of them when looking at our backyard renovation. It was old, taken over by trees, full of weeds almost 5 feet tall, and terrible old concrete! They completely TRANSFORMED this into a beautiful, modern, and economic space. They deserve credit for TWO projects because our dismantling the first was difficult. We had three major trees stumps which were very hard to remove, and required all knew drainage and plumbing. They were able to make the trees look as if they never existed, and implemented a draining system that channeled out into our front lawn. Our front lawn looks as if they were never there. The attention to concrete, planter walls, surrounding walls, and the additional fence was very detailed, and they did a fantastic job creating a two level planting structure where one did not exist. The design process was fun and easy with Mike and Dee, and we really appreciate the automatic watering/ lighting system they put into place (which we didn't even ask for!). We relied on their expertise, and they created a wonderful open and sophisticated space where we love to host friends and family!

    MB Paving
Jose with MB Paving is a pleasure to do business with. He was very responsive for quoting, even after being on another job site all day he stopped by multiple times to answer all our questions before booking confirmation. During the job, Jose was on-site every day. His crew was professional, timely, and highly skilled. We had our previous asphalt driveway replaced with 2500 sq ft of concrete with brick ribbons. Jose even added extra touches such as a herringbone brick pattern at the driveway gate and 2 entryways to the house. We would absolutely hire MB Paving again and offer recommendations.

    New Line Remodeling

Leo and his employees were very professional, friendly and were always on time.  They were very clean and organized during the remodel. The project stayed on course with the original time line provided by Leo. We did not have any surprises regarding any of the components of the remodel, meaning the tile for flooring, back splash, cabinets or appliances that were agreed upon during the initial design phase were used. We cannot be any more happy and excited about our new kitchen. Leo and his team were amazing.

    Supreme Remodeling Inc
My husband and I had wanted to get our old patio replaced for years. It was old, cracked, and just a simple slab of concrete that wasn?t very attractive.  After our youngest left for college, we found ourselves using the patio more frequently to just sit and relax, have breakfast, or just have some friends over. With the old patio looking like it did, we were embarrassed and knew we needed to make a change.
We hired Supreme Remodeling after getting about 2 other quotes. Supreme?s quote was in line with the others but we chose them based on their customer service. They were so friendly and polite and were easy to get on the phone to answer any questions. We gave them our budget up front and they never strayed from it nor tried to ?upsell? us on anything either, which we appreciated!
The crew came out on a Tuesday and was finished in only few days, which included the removal of the old cracked concrete.  The crew was very considerate and extremely clean. They didn?t leave a mess on the rest of the lawn and made sure to pick up after the day?s end.  The new patio consists of beautiful pavers that are an attractive ?beige-type? color in the middle and a slightly darker shade as the surrounding border. It highlights it beautifully!

    Swink's Creations
Mark's crew was very efficient and professional. I selected Swink's Creations because Mark could do it all. I'm very pleased how it turned out. On refill of pool, I detected a leak, and Mark was very responsive in correcting the issue - he brought out a leak detection company to source the problem. The leak was in the new light conduit. Mark upgraded the light to a color changing LED for the inconvenience of having to drain pool for proper repair. Mark may not be the cheapest contractor, but you definitely get the value for the money.

    PVM Concrete Contractor
The suggestions the salesperson made to address my questions regarding the driveway, walkway and drainage were very good, and I'm glad I followed his suggestions. The additional drains solved problems with water accumulation, and the simple, but effective "diamond" pattern cut into the concrete gave a nice look to the finished driveway. His suggestions helped save money and address the goals of the project. The construction crew was polite and professional, and followed my requested start times to avoid violating City of Los Angeles noise regulations. PVM even responded to some questions that arose after the work was completed and paid for. The job was completed on time and on budget.

G&L Design Building & Landscape Inc
The thing that sold us on G&L in the first place was the landscape design they created. Allie is an amazing designer and she got what we wanted right away. We absolutely love the design.

The hardscape looks fantastic. Dee worked with us tirelessly to find just the right pavers since we wanted a more modern look and that's not the style in pavers right now. We were really impressed with his willingness to go the extra mile to find just the right thing. He recommended pavers since we have an invasive tree that had pushed up the old concrete patio, and any new damage like this will be easier to repair with pavers than with concrete. The crew was punctual, pleasant and thorough. I would absolutely give them an A+ for the hardscape and drainage work that they did.

When it came to the landscaping, it felt like they rushed that part of the job a bit, and I would give them a B+ for this part of the job. The crew was different, and they may have been more heavily booked than the hardscape crew - who knows. The plantings ended up looking great overall though. We had a few minor casualties, which is to be expected, but not any of the expensive stuff and I'm planning on having some fun choosing new plants to replace them this fall (which I probably would have done anyway). All of the major plants are doing great. The only thing we don't like is the grass that they planted. Our goal was to have something we wouldn't have to mow, and this was only supposed to get about 8" tall, which would have been great. It must have loved all the rain it got last spring because it grew three times longer and flopped over. It doesn't look very good, and it's covering the beautiful paver sections that it's planted around, which are a major design element. I think we'll be replacing this with something a little more tidy that will show off the paver sections.

The only real issue we had was that they had a difficult time grading the patio pavers around the large sliding glass door we have opening onto the patio. This created a runoff situation that was channeling water directly toward the slider instead of away from it. Since they hadn't sealed along the bottom edge of the slider after installing the pavers, this water started running right into the house. When we called G&L Dee came over to look at the damage, which I appreciated, and sent a crew over to seal along the door. Had they sealed around the bottom of the slider when they first installed the pavers and pointed out the odd runoff pattern to us, we would have made sure we installed gutters sooner and wouldn't have had a problem. More an issue with communication than workmanship.

Since the installation, they have been helpful answering questions about the irrigation system, maintenance, etc.which I really appreciate.

We are planning on hiring them again to do our front yard since we loved Allie's design for the back yard and we do feel that Dee and his crew are honest, responsive and helpful. Next time though - no grass!
