AHuft Heating & Air Conditioning IncMy 36-year-old heating and air conditioning system, which was original to my home, had been on borrowed time for some while. I researched and got bids from four local companies. I needed a new heat pump and air handler at least, but I also wanted to replace the insulation and duct work since it too was old and I had had some rodent issues in my attic some years ago. Insulation upgrades also qualify for additional SMUD rebates. Not only was Huft's bid the lowest, but my Bosch system is more energy efficient than any of the other systems quoted me and whisper quiet. From the salesman Glenn to the installation lead Tever and the insulation installer Anthony, I was impressed with their level of punctuality, courtesy, and professionalism throughout the process. In fact, Glenn was the only salesman who actually took the time to take measurements at my house and explained the numbers of why I needed a three-ton system. I am very happy with my system thus far and I would highly recommend Huft to others!- George P.

Exceptionally clean, used floor/wall coverings, had covers on shoes, vacuumed. Took pictures of before and after. Cleaned out my attic, sanitized, sealed air leaks, replaced insulation, and sealed all squirrel access holes. Written estimate with all parts of the job listed. No hidden costs or estimate revisions. AClear Efficiency Home ImprovementWhen Jesse spent a considerable amount of time doing a thermal scan of our house, asking me detailed questions (and answering my own detailed questions), and providing a thorough explanation of air movement and energy loss just to give us an estimate for the work, we knew that we were in good hands. Clear Efficiency's attention to detail and care continued throughout the installation and afterwards. Additionally, they hold themselves to a very high standard and when they weren't able to access a very small portion of our attic with a vaulted ceiling in order to seal it, they gave us a discount after the job was done. This portion of our attic is very hard to access and there is no way I would have known. This speaks volumes about their integrity. We are so thrilled with our attic insulation removal, sealing, refresh, and new insulation. The furnace kicks on about 1/10th of the time it used to and quickly shuts off when it reaches the right temperature. We are really enjoying being warm this winter and are excited to see the energy savings and comfort during the summer.- Edward H.

AClear Efficiency Home ImprovementBefore doing job, they performed a thermal inspection showing all the air leaks from construction seams of the skylights, spotlight canisters and vaulted ceilings. All the air gaps were sealed before adding the eco-friendly insulation and improving thermal efficiency. AClear Efficiency Home ImprovementExcellent. First, we spoke to Jesse about the product and made an appointment for a free walk through of our home. Jeremy came out and spent hours with us explaining what areas of our home needed to be insulated. He had this great tool which be infrared light, could show the hot and cold areas of the walls. That, and living in such a hot house, were all we needed to decide to go ahead with Clear Efficiency. In the end, our house is now so much cooler. Insulating was the answer for us! AGreat. They came out within three days of requesting the quote. Quickly assessed the problem (same as another company did but in 1/5 of the time) explained the problem and solutions, quoted me a price that was 2k less than the other company while also doing more work. I wound up deciding to go with about half of the work (it all needs to be done but I can do alot of things myself), and they worked with me to make that possible. By the time all was said and done it was completed in a 1/3 of the time, for half the money, with more work done, than the other company I quoted, all with the exact same warranties in place. Couldn't be happier and will definitely call them again if I need any more work done.

ALocal Professionals come through: I had a water flow problem on the front center part of my roof that resulted in some of the sheathing under the overhang to dry rot. I also had a rain gutter with damage caused by a leaning tree. I called Roofmasters for a free quote. Johnathon explained the process and answered all my questions. Aaron arrived on-time for the quote on 8/27/2018. He explained what caused the dry rot and answered my questions regarding concerns I had about other areas of my roof. He put my mind at rest – telling me that my roof appeared to be in good shape except for the area that brought him there that day. I received the written quote on 8/31/2018 for the roof and gutter repairs and scheduled the work to be done on 9/14/2018. They called 30 minutes before arrival as promised. They were professional, courteous, efficient, and cleaned up after themselves well. They even replaced a couple cracked tiles at no additional charge. They are a local company (Suisun City, CA) that obviously still takes pride in their work. This seems to be a trait that is in short supply these days. I’ll definitely call them again the next time I need help with my roof.

AOwner (Raul Romo) is kind, immensely knowledgeable, very fair in pricing, and work is always done perfectly. I have never had a need to question his work. I just had him check the roof after tree trimming a 150 year old oak with many limbs landing on the brittle lightweight cement tile. Raul said there was no damage. Then, his immense friendliness caused him to tell me where we could see problems with our 20 year old roof and where it would appear, and why it could happen, but he emphasized "let's not borrow trouble - nothing needs to be done now". As a retired guy myself, I loved understanding how to understand where a leak will come through and where to look for its cause. I would not consider calling anyone besides Mr. Romo and Atlantis Roofing.

A fair number of companies visited our West Sacramento home but we chose Future Energy Savers for their expertise and professionalism. FI scheduled an appointment for 11am on my day off and rescheduled a doctors appointment to make sure I was available. Convex never showed up or called to say they weren’t coming. I called them and they said they thought I had canceled my appointment, which I didn’t. They rescheduled me for the same day at 430pm for an estimate and again they never showed up or called. I called them to see if they were showing up and there was no answer. Not sure how this company got an A rating on Angie’s List. Complete waste of my daI will never get back. FYI I used Garner and they came out almost immediately.
