AKTD ConstructionIt went great. We have remodeled three houses and always had bad experiences whenever we used a contractor. Kenny, owner of KTD Construction, is hands down the best contractor. His pricing is fair and often less than other competitors. He is always in contact with you throughout the project, which is rare. He is an exquisite carpenter and framer and his crew are all courteous and professional. He is a fast worker, gets the job done right and even hauls all project debris and cleans up after with great attention to customer satisfaction. Our neighbors even commented that it’s hard to find a good contractor and one that works weekends no less. Kenny will also help find sub contractors for plumbing, electrical, drywall, and if they don’t follow through Kenny will see to it that the job gets done on time and to the highest standards. He asked several questions and then told me before I replaced the door hardware, which could be expensive - he told me exactly what type of oil to buy to try first and it worked perfectly. AHawkins has now done two whole-house window replacements for us. This second home is a one-of-a-kind designed Mid-Century Modern classic home, and we have been very fussy about how the windows needed to look in order to retain the essential look and style of the old window styles. Hawkins has been able to provide us with really spectacular replacements. Gary Hawkins, the owner, came personally to look at our home and listen to our concerns, and then was able to select the precise windows we asked for. We find them to be reasonably priced and responsive to concerns. Since they have done multiple jobs for us, we know they do a great job of keeping their customers happy and also hit the "budget-friendly" button, too! This project includes replacing 3 sliding glass doors, (one which is 10 feet wide), 18 windows, (3 of which are 8+ feet wide picture windows), 4 floor-to-ceiling fixed tempered windows, and 3 specialty reeded glass windows.

AArno is a consummate professional! I was at a disadvantage as my permanent residence was a 5hr drive from the location of our new home. Arno met with me at the new residence early in the process of construction, he was very generous with his time and very attentive to my vision for organization and utilizing the cabinetry space to its maximum potential. Soon I had drawings with full layout and dimensions to review, he absolutely nailed it without me having to travel back and forth, as I had anticipated. I'm a perfectionist and apprehensive to trust. I had heard about Arno from a friend of my daughters and she was very impressed with the cabinets he had built for her. I now know why.....not only are the cabinets beautifully finished on the inside but the painting job is exquisite and will last me a lifetime.
