    This N That Handyman Svc
One day was scheduled but turned into 2-day job, which Michael had allowed for in his schedule. His service does not include painting but he delivered the new primed baseboards 2 weeks in advance so we had plenty of time to paint them ourselves, which was fine with us and saved us money. He also loaned us his saw horses to use with my own to paint the 16 ft. boards. Michael has many construction related skills and a friendly personality. He also has contractor-grade table saw, compressor and other pro tools that contribute to a quality finished product. We found him good to work with and this was the second job we hired him for. His rates are fair and we will consider hiring him again.

    Handyman Paul Tourdot
Paul did a great job.  On time, had new part with him, repaired, and very fair charges.  I immediately scheduled further work with him, and given his contact info to a number of friends.

Great!  He got the fan for us and installed it quickly and inexpensively....not sure of the exact price actually...but very very reasonable...not sure of the exact date either...it was awhile ago, but I was having computer problems at that time...anyway...I

was SOOOOO happy with the price and how quickly and easy (for HIM) it was.....when he gave me the bill I was sooo happy I said "I LOVE you"!!! ha ha   (the next job he did for us was not as reasonably priced....so I was a bit disappointed based on this one)

But, I'd give him an A++ for the bathroom ceiling fan!  : )

This guy knows what he is doing, but bad mouths others on this site....unprofessional dude!!  I had some other work I wanted him to do...but he really was not interested in doing anything that was "hard work".  I then tried to get him to do some more "fun" things, and he said he would do them the week of Sept. 21st...then I never heard back...so will have someone else do them esp. since he refuses to paint.  He did do a pretty good job on my back steps awhile back....many months...maybe a year...can't remember...but it took my husband a long long time to finally stain them.....and then my hubby didn't do a very good job of that...not totally covered : (
So, not really sure if I'd use him again or not....his is good at what he is willing to do...but a bit expensive for the quality of wood he used...which was stuff he already had on hand...so I think it should have been cheaper....it was easy for him and did not take him very long to do the actual work......but he spent time doing other things...talking on his phone....going to lunch....he could have been done in about half the time....and charged half as much.....but if you want someone who knows what he is doing and does NOT need much if any supervising and you are willing to pay for his credentials and don't need him to paint anything....he is your man.

Well, I ONLY had him back because of his cute dogs which he did not bring! : (

He was supposed to raise my side ramp 5+ inches...instead the ramp had about

the same vertical height but then also had a 5 inch step....but was cut back so as

not to affect the steepness of the ramp at all.. He had a bad attitude the moment

he showed up and threatened to leave...I should have let him...as I have since had

to hire someone else to redo the ramp back into steps!  I would give him an F instead

of a D, but he sort of did what I asked him to do...so I thanked him and paid him even

though I was not happy....and also realized he did not do as good of a job on the last

job he did for me as I thought....he left a 2x4 inch rectangular "hole" in the side of the

lattice and refused to remove some pavers saying the grass would grow over the small

amount of dirt he placed over them......the grass did not grow...after several attempts...

so my hubby had to take the pavers out...and reseed a few more times......I would change

my last grade for him from a B to a C-

He was scheduled to arrive at 9:30, I called and left him a message that we had an appt. at that time, but he can start b4 we get back.(He did not get the message)  My husband got home around 9:45 and he showed up a few minutes after that but still he charged us for a 9:30 start time and also charged us 150.00 for just a couple pieces of wood....we had most of the wood needed.  He did a job for us awhile ago and gave us such a good deal and I was so happy with the price before.....but this time it was a lot more money and a lot less work on his part compared to when he put in our picket fence (which I never did do a review for.....cause he never quite got it finished to where I was happy with it-and he made it clear that he was d o n e with it and didn't want to work on it anymore....and I finally just took down the gate cause it never was on straight...but this job was a better quality too).
I would use him again because his prices are still pretty reasonable and he does a lot of different things....he put a fan in for us too awhile ago and I was super happy with that an A+ for that fan install....sorry, never reviewed that one...but very happy about that...and anyway....pretty happy with the side stairs now....was hoping to save that top piece of wood in tact...but that didn't happen, but otherwise happy with the final results...much easier on my knees now...thank you! : )

With a few miscommunications and weather issues it all got done in 10 hours on Monday.  Was supposed to be done on Saturday but I only got my estimate on Saturday which was 375 and WE had to get all the parts which was another 300! So it WAS more expensive than we thought, but I'm so glad it's DONE!  He has two very adorable dogs he brings with him and frankly it's the real reason I'm having him back to do more work...because I love dogs and don't have any right now : )  The plan is for him to do more work this Saturday on a ramp to cost only 100.00 hopefully total as we have some left over wood and paint..so fingers crossed and I'll get back to you on how that goes.  But over all.....I am happy with the job and glad it's done.  It was VERY hot and humid Monday the 20th of July, I'm sure he would have been done sooner had it not been so hot....but he charges by the job and not by the hour...so I was glad about that too...I'm sure this job was harder that he originally anticipated, but he didn't charge us any extra after all...but be SURE to write down or get a copy for yourself of what is to be done in writing...so when the going gets tough...you can refer to the agreement!  He is on time or early so be ready. His van is plain white with back up beeping...so you can hear him! : )

Brian is the best and I would highly recommend him.  He has integrity and is honest.  He is also very reasonable.  He has been able to help me with a number of jobs including faucet repairs, fixtures, and sprinklers.  He also paints which is not something many handymen do.   Brian also hangs Christmas lights!   He responds in a prompt manner and goes out of his way to make sure that you are happy when he is finished.  A big thumbs up!
