    This contractor installed new parts at the condenser, the condenser fan still would not run properly. It would run for maybe 10 minutes and stop. Then kept trying to run, but would not. We subsequently discovered, through another source, that it was an issue with a clogged primary overflow drain pipe and water sensor. This contractor never even went upstairs to see the upstairs thermostat or furnace. Spent a lot of time on the phone talking to other clients or workers on other projects.

    Called Mark on a Saturday morning after I managed to "break" my HVAC when changing thermostats. He came out same day (only about 2 hours later), fixed the unit (replaced a fuse) and then installed the thermostat for me so I didn't fuse the unit again!

    Very responsive, professional and extremely knowledgeable about HVAC systems. Did a great job for a good price and I will definitely use him again.

    I received a bid on 12/30/2013 to move two condenser units about 12 feet to new pads. Chris Parker, President of Command, reviewed the project on site and bid $1,000 plus refrigerant at $60/ lb for a complete job if I provided the new pads and cored through a garden wall for the refrigerant lines. I had the pads built by a contractor to his specs.
    When I called Chris a few weeks ago to actually do the move, he came out and he announced his expenses has gone up and he would not honor his bid of $1,000 but would now charge between $2,500 and $3,000 and that the refrigerant was going to cost $90/ lb.
    I can understand the change in refrigerant cost but a 250% to 300% increase in cost in six and half months is unacceptable. With a straight face he assured me anyone who dealt with his company would receive the same prices as they were fixed. He subsequently put that in an email to me which prompted me to share this information with others and some quotes from his correspondence with me:
    "I?m sure you can
    understand that the proposal is 7 months old, has expired, and that our pricing
    has increased since then. I do apologize as there is a quite a difference in
    price today from what I quoted you back then. I?m not sure why so much but there
    is. To be clear before putting the details together for you, we would be at
    roughly $2,500 - $3,000 to move both existing condensers less any refrigerant
    that may be needed which is now currently at $90 per lb. and does fluctuate
    quite a bit, quite often with the market."
    and
    "Again I do apologize that the different in price is so great but I can
    assure you that our pricing is fixed and would be the same for you as it would
    be anyone else in a situation that required the same Scope of Work."

    You can judge if you want to do business with a firm with these ethics and business practices.

    His response below will give you a picture who he really is. There was no change in scope or substance between his bid on Dec. 30, 2013 and his new bid. I did call to verify that everything would be according to his requirements now that I had the pads built and the coring done to accommodate his requirements. He did come for "FREE" to secure the work but multiplied the cost by 250 to 300%. Also, he was going to waste (recycle in his words :) ) all the old freon and then charge me $90 a lb to fill the entire system while all the other providers were going to harvest the system freon to reuse it and then only top it out if needed at $40 a lb. if needed.


     After all these facts Chris Parker  wonders why I chose to write this review to alert other potential customers?

    I chose Comfort Advisors because of previous reviews, Angie's list and on Bryant AC website.   Don was very responsive to all my calls.  His quote was comparable to another company.   I felt Don was very honest and very knowledgeable about AC and heating furnace.   I really appreciated when the crew arrived on the dot on the day of installation.

    Called to make an appointment in order to get an estimate.  A new partner to the company came to my house and gve me an estimate and answered any questions or concerns I had.  Very professional.  Was unable to get any extra discounts but liked the partner and decided to give them my business.  The install went pretty smoothly but it ran late and the workers were rushed at the end.  Clean up was just OK.
    At the end of the install the partner returned and I had a cashier's check ready for the balance owed.  He inspected the work and found some cosmetic areas that he wanted to take care of.  I also asked for a receipt and he apologized for not having the paperwork and would get it out to me right away.
    He never came back for the cosmetic work and I did not receive a receipt.  It took me many calls and over a month to finally just get a receipt.  I would not recommend them.
    I WAS NOT ASKED TO RESPOND TO MY COMPLAINT BUT I CHOSE TO ANYWAY.  SEASIDE CONTACTED ME IMMEDIATELY TO APOLOGIZE,  RECTIFY, AND GIVE ME ADDITIONAL WARRANTY FOR MY INCONVENIENCE.  THANK YOU SEASIDE FOR YOUR EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND FOR RESPONDING SO PROFESSIONALLY.

    Alex and Virgilio showed up on time to install our new air conditioner. The job ended up taking the whole day because apparently we have a tight attic space. The guys were professional and did a good job. My only complaint is that when it was time to pay, Alex knew nothing about applying the inspection fee we had aleady been charged toward the cost of the new a/c as had been promised by another technician. Not Alex's fault, but annoying nonetheless. I hate it when I have to get bitchy because a company doesn't honor their promises (I did get the fee applied).
