RE: Large shed/garage (12x20) transaction. This has been a horrific experience with this company. I would strongly suggest that you purchase your shed elsewhere. They will take your credit card and charge you, but they do not do their due diligence to make sure they choose a carrier that can deliver the item to your residential location. And once its randomly shipped out, they wash their hands of it and believe they have completed the task. Its now somehow your responsibility. Reviews are interesting. I read through all of the negative reviews about this company on the internet: this includes their own web site. I was looking for a trend and I found it. Quality customer service is truly based on what they do when there is a issue with an order and not when a simple shipment happens to show up on time. Based on the negative reviews Ive read, this company consistently fails their clients in resolving these similar shipment/delivery issues. They take zero accountability and immediately try to place fault on the client. Somehow they believe its the clients fault on how the shipment was coordinated for delivery. They then threaten the client with ridiculous restocking fees and outrageous extra shipping charges. When the client pushes for them to take responsibility and complete their work, instead of taking care of the issue, they continue to threaten the client with collections agencys and potentially taking them to court. Based on my experience, and reading the negative reviews, this seems to be a standard practice for this company. In my case, the delivery never happened to the residential address I placed the order for. I had to manage the 1000lb load, that was stacked on a single 8 pallet, and delivery it myself; incurring huge added cost and time. Dont risk it, purchase your shed somewhere else. Marc

This was a nightmare.  The General contractor hired R.O.W. Custom Pools and Remodeling as a subcontractor to plaster the pool.  The general abandoned the project and didn't pay his subcontractors.  We finished the construction ourselves and paid the subs as best we could.  Much of the work had to be torn and rebuilt at our cost.  Custom Pools and Remodeling work was shoddy at best.  However it was their terrible behavior during our phase of trying to finish building, that prompts me to write this review and strongly urge no one to hire this company!
Custom Pools and Remodeling began a program of harassment against me as soon as they thought they might not get paid.  They called repeatedly on the phone, even after I demanded that they stop calling.  Then Stefan sent a fictitious email to my husband's company asking for our information, masquerading as a client.  He then filed a complaint against us with the CSLB!  He has never been our client and we are retired!  We are no longer in business.
Then Stefan of Custom Pools file a mechanics lien without having filed the require prelien.  Then his sleeze-bag lawyer filed a 2nd, duplicate mechanics lien for reasons unknown unless it was to cause me as much trouble as humanly possible.  Then they filed a lis pendence.
After I started looking into who this company actually was, I found that they are setting a new record for the number of complaints against one company; shocking that they still have their license.  And check out Yelp.  You will see many stories similar to mine.
I sued them, and spent 2 years of attorney's fees trying to force them into court to release the liens.  They played every game you can imagine to avoid appearing in front of the judge and holding me hostage.  Trying to make it so painful that I would just pay because I cannot tolerate a lien on my property.  It halts all sorts of financial and legal activities that one might want to do.
Then finally we are in court; we settled; I paid them a check as a part of the settlement.  Their part was to "release the liens upon the check clearing the bank".  Next they claim for 30 days that they were trying to verify that the check cleared.  Then they said they needed another signature.  Then they said they were again trying to verify that the check cleared.  Then the *finally* sent the release of lien, but they sent ONLY ONE LIEN RELEASE!!!  There are 3 liens to be released:  2 duplicate mechanics liens and a lis pendence.  They aren't that stupid.  This is a fun game for them.
I guarantee that if you hire this company you will be sorry.

Protection 1 has been unable to get the account established correctly and we've spent months and many hours on the phone with Protection 1 trying to get it fixed. I was told by someone in customer support again today that she thinks they've finally fixed the billing problem.  I hope so -- unbelievable that no one seems to know why it isn't working or how to fix it.  Everything works fine on two other accounts we have with Protection 1.  I also noticed the monthly monitoring fee  on this vacation home is being billed at $1 more per month than the contract amount.  I didn't expect as a long-term customer of Protection 1 to have so many problems on this new account or be treated so rudely.  I certainly can't recommend this company anymore.

I don't blame Sam for not returning to the "F" reviewer's property for the work. Anyone who writes "I have this problem all the time with these so called 'professionals'.  If I can get them to come out, I can't seem to get them to return my calls or get the work done" probably has some issues besides just bad fence posts that need to be addressed. Sam was smart to stay away... By the way, "April Fools" on having work done by Sam. I don't live anywhere near there!

They were very accommodating, did everything promised, very professional.
The only complaint is that the unit is a bit louder than we expected, but tolerable.
I am sorry, I am on vacation, so I cannot say the exact date.

Excellent experience. Sam was willing to work with a real estate closing that hinged on buyer and seller sharing expenses. His team, always punctual, worked efficiently to get the job done; including daily clean up. Sam's ideas for improving the given plan were spot on and appreciated. Personable and professional. Good listener.

This job went well. Everything was completed as promised and for the original bid amount. The person who came out to bid the job [Guy] was very professional and took all the time I needed for him to explain the work at hand and the solutions. On the initial service call, Guy also looked at several systems in the house and helped me understand more about them. This was a new house and I have never had septic or a well before. This was very helpful.
I did not get any other bids. I suspect this company was not the cheapest in town but I was comfortable with the service I got for the cost. I plan to use this vendor again for a filter system under the sink in the kitchen.

This vendor's work was very acceptable when it finally got completed.  The project took 6 months from start to finish.  Once the gate opener itself was operational, other important details were put on the side burner.  I had to call and email over and over again to get the job completed.  There was one excuse after another as to why we were not on the schedule.  Most excuses were of a personal nature [Family wedding, truck broke down, back went out, etc].  In the end the work was acceptable and the price was fair, but it was not worth all of the stress involved in managing this vendor.

The job went very well overall in regard to quality and execution.  I recommend this vendor for interior painting but there was one thing you should watch out for and manage if you hire Debra.
Debra had to remove several fixtures in order to paint walls.  She was not very good at getting the items back on the wall securely and we had one item that got broken upon removal [a globe on a 3 light fixture was broken].  She also had a hard time accessing a tight spot in the bath tub area.  She must have used the tub faucet as a step because she bent it and it is not a bit cockeyed.  It still works OK but it does turn straight and is a constant reminder of what happened.
I would use this vendor again, but next time I will remove all fixtures myself [and re-install] and I will ask her to be careful not to step on ANYTHING except her ladder  in order to paint high locations.

    This job went well.
Bryan was very professional and knowledgeable in his area of expertise.  The job was completed on time and the cost was as promised.
The area where Brian worked [Opened field] was left in very good condition and he leveled the ground out very well.  The work had to be completed on a slope and there was a tree near the path which had to be factored into access for the equipment.  Bryan was able to get his equipment into this area which other vendors may have been reluctant to do.
There was a spot in the path where Bryan hit solid rock.  It was not possible to dig as planned in this area.  Bryan called me right away and offered an alternate plan [dig as deep as possible and then mound up some dirt over the top on the refill in order to maximize coverage and depth of the burial].  This was a bit of extra work but there was no additional cost.  The only other solution was to chip out the rock which would have changed the whole scope of work.  I felt Bryan came up with a good workaround and did not try to get more money on the job or take the easy way out via a very shallow trench in the rock area.
I would not hesitate to use Accurate Excavating again.  Very professional and did a great job on time and on price.
