    We found Pacific construction and design while they were working on a remodeling project in another house on the neighborhood. During that work, I approached the supervisor Joseph and we asked him to see the work. After we saw what did do and how beautiful it is, we asked him to pass by our house and to see what we want to do and to give us a quote for the work. We wanted to remodel the kitchen and bathroom and also to paint the entire house. Joseph came over and saw our house. He then went back to his office and did his homework including a 3D design. Dew days after, he called us and set an additional meeting with us to show us his ideas and prices. The remodeling project started a week after we agreed and signed all the documents and it took them less than a month to complete it. Joseph did a wonderful work and he was able to implement most of the things we wanted. The kitchen came out beautiful and very functional while the bathroom got his new look and design. The final touch was the paint of the house which gave us a brand new look of the entire house. The whole remodeling was done in a very professionally manner. Joseph put a lot of attention to all the details of the work. Thanks to Joseph and entire crew that worked including the office staff for making our house look great!

    DO NOT render electrical service from this company whose owner' name is Alan Woertink. I almost never write a bad review because I believe that people honestly do try their best and sometimes make mistakes. However, this company not only did an unbelievably bad job, did not timely respond to calls/emails/texts after I report the problems, when Alan finally did, he made promises to fix the problem, only to not show up, never bothered to call to let me know that he wouldn't come, then just outright dishonor his promise to fix the electrical problem that he caused. This company is by far the most crooked company I've experienced! So, pls avoid them if you want decent work done, reasonable prices and professionalism! Details of the problem: In July 2015, I contracted with woertink electric to install LED recessed lighting in both units of my duplex. His prices weren't that reasonable, but I thought it would be a good thing to support the local economy. After he and his men installed the lighting, the lights continuously flickered in both units. This was really problematic bc we had to re-align my son's bedroom furniture due to the bad lighting from the constant flickering. I immediately reported the problem to Alan. He told me that the switches were not good and that he would replace them. I thought that that was reasonable that sometimes mistakes happen. Alan went silent for more than a year after this problem. I repeatedly called, texted and possibly emailed (I will have to check my email to confirm, but definitely called and texted), but there was no response. Finally I threatened to take legal actions, he finally responded in November/December 2016 with a promise to correct the problem. He even asked me to count all the switches that he installed and I duly counted all of them in my unit as well as my rentals. He gave me a date, I coordinated with my tenant to make or units available for Alan and his men to come, the date came and went without Alan or his men showing up to do the work. Alan never bothered to call to let me know why he didn't show up, he just didn't! To this date, this issue has NOT been fixed by woertink electric. I don't know what else to do to get these people to do the honorable thing: fix the problem that they caused after they've taken my money. Maybe this review will save another family from getting swindled.

    Brian came and reviewed the project and provided an itemized estimate for all the work. We have used Brian on multiple occasions before and so we were familiar with his work and pricing. Brian's pricing - like all quality electricians - is not inexpensive. His labor runs approximately $1000 dollars a day. But as the old maxim says: "you get what you pay for". With Brian, you are paying for a top professional with over 30+ years of experience. Brian will help you select the right products/material for the job. Brian was there promptly every day. Brian made sure to cover the areas he worked in to avoid a mess, and cleaned up when he was complete. Brian is a warm and very social professional - patient when explaining what work needs to be done and a consummate professional in understanding problems if they arise and working through them. Brian is a perfectionist and ensures the job is done right and to the owners satisfaction. If you want professional quality, BMH and Brian are the company to choose.

    It went well. The initial appointment was rescheduled due to illness, the second appointment was first thing on a Friday appointment and delayed, presumably by traffic. Once here, the work was accomplished quickly and professionally.

    Overall, we are very satisfied with the work and love our renovated home. They were very responsive to our concerns and have excellent customer service. One big plus was they stayed on schedule throughout the project. There were a few times when our expectations of what was covered under the original contract did not match Everlast expectations, and we had to renegotiate those items. Given the scope of our remodel, I think it's understandable that there were a couple of hiccups along the way.

    It went great. Wesley gave us two different options, depending on how many of the lights we decided to replace at this time. FYI this is a husband and wife team. They seem to work well together and clean up everything when they're done. I highly recommend this team and would not hesitate to use them again.

    Joe and his team were super to work with. They hit all the right notes in helping us remodel our newly purchased condo in Mountain View: (i) punctual; (ii) very fast in getting things done; (iii) responsive to our requests for slight changes or to adding new tasks to our contract; (iv) generous with their time and energy - even doing things that we hadn't asked for, but really wanted; (v) thorough in their workmanship; (vi) helpful in giving guidance and suggestions when asked (we needed it); (vii) reasonably priced. Plus, they are really nice guys, which makes it all much more pleasant. My wife and I were new to home ownership, and Joe was super honest (and also has a good sense of humor). He let us walk him through our new place and tell him what we wanted done. He let us finish and then gave us his thoughts and also gave us a sense of the budget. Then, on our next meeting, we reviewed the bid/contract and got right to work. One very key thing that I think folks will find helpful - I wanted to really go to do some additional remodeling in our master bathroom, but (at the time) I didn't have the budget to really do it up the way that I know I want it to be. So I asked Joe to do just as much as my budget would allow. In an exceptionally rare (and much-appreciated) move, Joe told me that he'd be happy to do the job on the bathroom, even though it was only going to be a half-way to perfect result, given my limited budget. But he advised that I should consider waiting on it until I had saved enough money to do the full-blown remodel that I know I really want in the end. Otherwise, I'd be spending money for a result that was short of my ideal, and that money could be better spent on the big job later, if that day ever comes. To be clear, the master bathroom work that Joe and his team did was excellent and I love it, so I'm very happy in the meantime, and I'm already looking forward to the big project down the road. I tell this story because I think it's a sign of a really honest and professional craftsman when they don't just think of what they can get from you right now - he's a fair man and knows that because of his honesty, he's the person I'll turn to again down the road.

    Prior to this project, I had no experience with remodeling, nor interacted with contractors for this long a period.  As my first experience, I was really cautious and concerned going in. Before the start of the process, I had consulted with my friends for referrals for contractors.  I heard all kinds of horror stories and many weren't willing to recommend their contractor.  The friends who were willing to recommend, had contractors that were too busy to take on new work.  One of the busy contractors recommended Angie's List, form where I found SoD Builders.  Because I was new to the process, I decided to get my own material and my own interior designer.
    I got 4 bids for the project, and SoD builders was between the mid-range and high range. For the Bay Area, the price is pretty shocking, but it is competitive for the area for licensed contracting. The pricing also comes within range of online cost estimates for Bay Area.  FYI -- As a cautious, first-timer, I bought all the external, user-facing hardware (faucets, tiles, shower, toilets, sinks).
    SoD Builders really came through.  They honored their original quotation, and the baths look awesome, and compliant with city inspections, and I have a permit.  From the stories I have heard, I really appreciated the straightforwardness in dealing with SoD. On my side, I like to be fair as well, and did what I could to trust their expertise, than micro-manage what I didn't understand in the first place. 
    I lived in the house, while they were remodeling, so I had daily interactions with all the crew.  I am really a hands-on person, so this long review is just cause I lived through it.
    Every crew member from the lead for the particular specialization (plumber, electrician, tiler etc) to their assistants were very professional, made efforts to understand my requests, and concerns, and explain what they were doing, or sync up with head office.  The house was properly covered, and any damage outside the bathrooms were repaired to my satisfaction.  
    The project managers deploy their workers as an efficient,well-oiled machine, where each specialization hits the nail on the head before the next one is sent over.  Every night I reviewed what was done, and (over) communicated with the project managers.  The project managers were very responsive over emails, sometimes till late night.  I had to leave for a family emergency for a week, and they stepped up and put in a lockbox the very morning, i was to leave.  They made trips to the tile shop and to Home Depot to pick up the material I bought.  They said this was unusual, as they expected home deliveries.    When the project was all completed, house cleared, punch list complete, final inspection completed, there was a blocked sewer line, and they fixed it as part of their warranty.  Then, I found 2 lights over the sink were misaligned, and they sent their electrician the next day.  Overall, I liked their flexibility and willingness to work with the customer, and really stay within budget.
    So, was everything just perfect?  No, but pretty good given that I was bracing myself for horror, in spite of their excellent online reputation. The final result matters most, and I am having a blast with the new city-rules-compliant, bathrooms.  Primarily, since I brought the material and had my own interior designer, some hiccups in transitioning that over to the project managers created delay.
    So, what are some things to keep in mind, if you hire them.  I still give them an A, so this is just nitpicking.
    1.  They started 1-2 weeks after the date they proposed in the quotation.  This might have been good thing after all, because some of the material hadn't arrived.  Also, given how busy contractors are chasing expensive Silicon Valley projects, I was ok with it, and they say they did their best to start early.  They roughly completed it in the time period they estimated, barring delays due to material availability.
    2. Because I bought the material, they preferred if the countertop providers also installed it, with the sinks.  This seemed unusual. Some of that may also be because my countertop is huge, and required special handling as it wouldn't have fit the stairwell.
    3. Because they are an efficient machine, once they get started, they will err on finishing the work, rather consult the owner on fine points.  This created some friction, but all was professional resolved by the project manager. I'd recommend you provide rough sketches, rather than verbal communication.  Draw these, and paste them somewhere for the project manager and crew to see.
    4.  The project managers didn't review the material I bought, in detail.  So, at the last moment, we realized that the medicine cabinets I bought were to small for the existing space in the walls.  That requires some rushing around on my part, and created some delay.
    5.  They provided this cool iPhone app to keep me updated. However, it was used superficially, and sometimes the changes after original plans were not updated till the very day.  I think to stay efficient, the project managers are juggling a lot.
    Overall, I'd hire them in the future, while I'll always get counter bids for price reference. Work is great.  The people who actually do the hands-on work, did very good, timely work.

    The GoodFellas Construction were very responsive and professional.   They completed a challenging project in 6 weeks working 6 days a week including Saturdays and starting very early in the morning and into the evenings.  The dead line was very important and they took ownership of delivering quality work by the dead line.

    Ran Leemore from GoodFellas was very responsive and attentive to all details.  I really appreciated all of his help.  In addition, the

    GoodFellas foreman Tacktook was very knowledgeable and his advice helped me save quite a bit of money in materials.  The bathroom tile work was excellent.   I hope to work with them again in the future and recommend them to anyone remodeling their home.
