    LP Appliances Services
He came over the same day, at exactly the time specified (not a 4 hour window -- I asked for 1:15 and he came at 1:15). He spent 1.5 hours trying to repair the dishwasher, realized it was really badly broken due to a paper towel that had gunked up a large number of internal systems, apologized that he couldn't repair it. And then REFUSED to take any money -- no charge, since he couldn't fix it. Absolutely would hire again in a second. Perfect service .

Contacting this company is exceedingly difficult. While sales will answer a phone call, pretty much the only way to contact the service center is to walk into the showroom -- and then hunt around for someone that is willing to talk to you. The products are not bad, and when you are able to get their attention, they are very nice and professional. The trick is that they are nearly impossible to get ahold of. Also, the hood I bought from them broke around 6 months after install. I'm still trying to reach them for service.

    Sears Appliance Repair
Sears Home Services are terrible, stay away. I had to schedule 2 appointments because the repair guy canceled the 1st appointment on the day of the appointment (after talking to me and without notifying me). The guy was late for the 2nd appointment and came unprepared, no parts or anything, despite me describing the model and problem and knowing which parts they should bring to try and fix it. Overall, $90 for a guy to come and say he can't fix my dishwasher, I could have told him that myself....they also charged me $99 instead of $90, and promised 25% coupon after the first cancellation (off the repair price) that never came as well. No wonder they are a dying retailer, horrible service and professionalism, terrible customer service as well. Literally choose anyone else.

Great. He knew what was wrong with my dishwasher and replaced the part with a sturdier one. With the dryer and refrigerator he showed me how to do the cleaning myself in future. Really nice guy and very helpful.

It went fine. I called them up to replace my control panel. They declined to act until they had first diagnosed the problem by themselves. When they did, they found that it was the control panel that they needed to replace, just like I had told them. Then they sent me a black one instead of a white one. They were supposed to come back. If I had been told, i wouldn't have to even pay a second time for the second guy to come out with the same wrong part. I am stuck with this wrong part that doesn't work well. I would not use them again.

The repair work went exceedingly well -- except for the two week wait for a replacement part. The technician, Lorenzo, was efficient and very professional. It took him some 15 minutes to diagnose the problem. After the replacement part arrived, he came back and in less than a minute, the microwave oven was back in working order. And while he was here, he also fixed a misbehaving freezer light and a loose freezer door. All on the same service call charge. We are very happy to recommend R O and Lorenz for in-home appliance repairs.

Glen was terrific! He called prior to coming, was considerate in wearing shoe covers and very professional in his approach to my oven problem. In our first communication, I gave him the complete model number. He anticipated the problem with the oven and came equipped with the part to fix it so there was no wasted time in first coming out and waiting for the part to come in, thus necessitating a second trip out.

I called, he asked for what the problem was, I described it, and he said, "There's no point in me coming out -- you have a bad bearing. If you can stand the noise, it'll last a year, but the repair is about the cost of a new washer. Just buy a new one." That is incredible, and saved me a lot of time and frustration. Thanks for being the most honest repairman ever!

Our 14 year old GE Monogram gave up the ghost last night, so I was desperate to find someone to come quickly.  I called LP at 7:30 a.m. and he arrived at 9:00.  LP was so sweet and friendly, and absolutely tenacious. After diagnosing the problem he drove  back to San Jose, found he had the needed part, and drove all the way back to Mountain View to install it.  I know I paid a fraction of what I would have paid Meyer Appliance or (God forbid) GE. I'm so thrilled to have discovered LP on this list and will definitely use him again for the next appliance that goes on the fritz!

This guy is absolutely awesome.  He's very honest, and will suggest "free" or cheaper resolution, if possible.  Technically, he's very strong.  Over the last few years, I've had him fix my refrigerator, oven and dishwasher.  He's very honest, very professional, very nice person too.  In this case, my tenants (rental property), called me up saying the dishwasher (which is 16 months old) wasn't working and was making a "burning metal smell".  I could have screwed around with it, wasted time and money but, instead I called LP.  He was on site w/in an hour or so and fixed it in minutes.  Charged me $75 for the service call but I gave him $100.  Well worth the time, money and hassle that he saved me.  As well as the "piece of mind" in knowing I can trust LP.  Any appliance issues, call LP.
