    Shaban, Dr. Laleh

If I were to rate Dr. Shaban alone, it would be all As.  She is wonderful and we feel we have lost a friend.  We have been her patients for over 20 years.  When she decided to go boutique and not accept Medicare and other insurances we stayed with her.  Nevertheless, each year the yearly cost was greater and this last year nearly $5,000 for the two of us.  Since she mostly referred us to specialists, it got to only truly using her services for a yearly exam and flu shot.

When we began with Dr. Shaban it was her, Pat, the nurse (who is wonderful) and a receptionist.  Since those times she has expanded to focus on cosmetic services and the office has completely changed.  There are so many people in the office, new faces each time one goes there.  If it weren't for Pat, you wouldn't feel "at home."  Because of all the new faces, efficiency has suffered.  Our medical records were requested by our new physician in January and it wasn't until March that we were able to get them.  Instead of mailing them to our physician we had to take them ourselves which isn't usually the practice.

Since we are seniors we simply can't afford not to use our Medicare.  We miss the feeling that the practice is for medical purposes only rather than the feeling that it is a cosmetic center.  It is a great loss.  Nevertheless, Dr. Shaban is a wonderful person and we will miss the hugs, as well.

.Dr. Angelucci spent over an hour with each of us and has since referred us for a complete battery of tests. she is very personable, easy to talk to and professional. We will definitely continue to use her as our primary care provider.

    Day, Dr. Richard G.
I am a retired nurse, and I was given the sorriest excuse for a physical exam I have ever seen. He was curt, difficult to talk to, and very impersonal. My husband and I have since changed to a different provider.

    Adams, Dr. Scott E.

I have mixed feelings about all of this. Dr. Adams was personable but time with him was always very brief. Women nurses were excellent is wrapping my foot, friendly and helpful. Travis Freitas, a certified pedorthist was excellent and actually gave me more information about my condition than Dr. Adams did. He helped me with inserts for my shoes and my condition has certainly improved with his help.

I wanted to continue wrapping my foot while on an extensive trip but Dr. Adams didn't help and actually acted like this wasn't available when asking if I could purchase tape and the spray used during my weekly wrap sessions. The nurses, however came through for me.

I had another appointment on January 10 and was unable to attend so I called 4 days before (Jan. 7) and left a message to cancel. I later received a phone call indicating I was a no show. I attempted to call again only receiving a recorded message. I drove to San Luis Obispo's office to talk to them in person and the office for Dr. Adams was not open on Tuesdays. I called again today and received a recorded message again using the phone number listed on the office door. I then found the number on my phone with the no show message and called. I was told by the young lady who answered she would share this with the manager.

Mr. Freitas and the two nurses were terrific. My foot is better but communication is certainly lacking. I will certainly watch to see if I am billed for the January 10 appointment.

    Steven Sabo MD
Frankly, I'm surprised that there aren't a slew of recommendations for Dr. Sabo. Dr. Sabo happens to be a sports doctor as well as a GP, which I found to be a big plus. I came to him for a routine exam, which I found to be thorough. His followup visit was equally informative, explaining very clearly the results of the blood work panel. He also took the time to effectively freeze a few blemishes. I feel lucky to have found him. I also recommended him to a very good friend who was equally impressed with his manner and quality of care. Hope you can get in to see him, as well.

    Donald Ramberg MD
I think if you want somebody to work on you that's the guy to have but his bedside manner is not exciting.  The office appears nice.  I think he just gets down to business.  He doesn't really want to extend it.  I like the guy but he is not personable.

The office was hard to find (we were unfamiliar with the area) and we were late arriving. Receptionist wasn't happy about that but Dr Kellawon agreed to see me anyway. She was thorough, professional, friendly, and helpful. I will continue to use her as my primary care provider.

In my 56 years, this is by far the best medical practice I have experienced.
I was a bit apprehensive about not having an MD initially, but David Gingrich, PA-C,ECLIPSED top dollar highly rated physicians I have had in NYC and Philadelphia.
David was friendly, thorough, and professional. He advised multiple x-rays which were able to be performed right in the office, and reviewed on the spot. Other family practices require you to travel to another lab or wait a week or more for results.
In discovering a possible fracture, he conferred with MDs in the office and advised I have it reviewed by an orthopedic surgeon. As he was genuinely concerned that I might find it difficult to get an appointment around the holidays, he and his staff immediately took the time to align me with specialist and CT scan appointments within 48 hours.
The entire staff was kind and professional. They even offered cookies and coffee!
Thank you, David. Whatever they are paying you, it isn't enough. :-)

    Shaban, Dr. Laleh
During my visit, Dr. Shaban noted my medical history and took the time to exam my facial movements. She was caring, thorough and answered all of my questions. She did not rush and made me feel very comfortable. Her administration of Dysport (an alternative to Botox) was painless and quick. It is also much cheaper than Botox, which I did not know having seem many doctors prior to her for the same procedure. Her front office is very responsive and friendly. They made all the billing seamless and even helped me copy my rebate form.I would highly recommend Dr. Shaban. She is an MD with an internal medicine background and is very knowledgeably not only of aesthetic procedures, but also has a very strong medical foundation.

She is very bright and very approachable. She does business by hand instead of moving to electronic patient record. She has not automated at all. When I leave, she gives me a hug. She makes me feel very comfortable. She does not do a lot of hands-on things; she will normally refer me to specialists for different things. I really prefer that.
