    Don Leitch Construction
we had a walk-in tub installed. Don was very professional and friendly. his Dog Cairo was his sidekick. and a very nice. but big dog. the estimate was quick, and he explained things well. and UNLIKE the National chain. did not try to upsell. or claim FREE stuff was included. the work was started within a day of estimate.. and even with unforseen setbacks trying to do the electrical is was still done quickly.. his crew was friendly and kept the demo debris to a minimum.. it did take longer than expected. but it was complete in about 14 days.. and you can not tell where they had to access the electrical. we are very happy with the Tub, and his work.. LOCAL BUSINESS also kept money in our community.. for much less than the national brand. that left a sour taste. he was also kind to answer questions for our neighbor who was doing his own work.. you can't beat that type of "old school" friendliness ..

    Don Leitch Construction
Don Leitch Construction has been responsive and helpful with our plumbing needs.  Last year he installed a tankless hot water heater for us to replace a leaking outdated solar system.  There were some problems with the new tankless system.  He came out right away and worked with the tankless hot water heater company to make things work the way they are supposed to.  Don has also installed a water softener system that does not use salt which we really like.  He has put new cartridges in water softener system on a regular basis.  Don shows up when he says he will show up.  His prices are fair. He is very trustworthy, I have no problem leaving the house with him there and telling him to lock up when he leaves.  I am glad to have him in our neighborhood and a great resource plumbing and general contract work.

    Idlers Home San Luis Obispo
Much faster than we had imagined.
Completely impressed with the quality of the work and the professionalism of the workers.
The appliances we purchased from Idler's were exactly what we were looking for.
    Couldn't be happier.

    LifeStyle Building & Remodeling
Initially the contractor John Wiebe quoted me a cost of $75K to redo the house the way I wanted it done. I unfortunately told him that that was within my budget. That cost would have included enlarging the both bathroom windows and replacing the tub/shower with just a large shower in the guest bathroom. The master bath would be totally remodeled, with separate jetted tub and large shower. All vanities would be replaced. The kitchen would have had new cabinets, counter-top and all damaged doors would have been replaced throughout the house. The old overhead florescent lighting fixtures would be replaced. A week after giving me that quote Mr Wiebe informed me the project would cost $124K to complete. We determined that many aspects of the project would have to be downsized or eliminated to bring the costs down. Many things were eliminated without my knowledge and the result is that no room is the way I really wanted it. The master bath comes closest, but the window did not get enlarged and I have a bathroom with no door. The door was damaged and was supposed to have been replaced. I am stuck with the shower/tub and very small window in the guest bath. I was forced to just paint the existing bathroom vanities and kitchen cabinets. I purchased a new powder room vanity myself. The only rooms that have the plumbing fixtures I wanted are the master bath and kitchen, In spite of giving Mr Wiebe 3 months notice and numerous reminders the laundry room and kitchen were not ready when the installers delivered the washer, dryer and refrigerator. They had to leave the washer and dryer in the living room and the refrigerator in the garage. Mr Wiebe wanted me to pay the installer to come out again and install the appliances when the rooms were ready. I refused and he had to install them himself.
The project took five months to complete and neighbors reinforced what I had suspected which was that workers were only on the project a couple of days a week, at most and often less, and never on weekends. Numerous times I went to the house when Mr Wiebe had said his workers were there, only to find the house empty and no one around. In light of that I can understand why the project took so long. I am still awaiting a breakout of all the expenses. From what Mr. Wiebe has provided me I can account for only about $50K of the total expense. I know that I was charged for travel time and expense for his workers and in hindsight I should have hired a contractor closer to the house.
I had the distinct feeling throughout the project that Mr. Wiebe was only half listening to me, if at all. There were numerous misunderstandings and miscommunications which cost me additional time and expense over and above what he was charging me.
In hindsight I would not have hired this contractor and would not put myself through the stress, expense and aggravation that this project entailed. The thing I am happiest with is the extensive tile work. The tile installer is a true artist and did a beautiful job throughout the house.

    Miguel's Tile
One thing I found very good about Miguel was that he communicated in a timely manner and if there was a scheduling issue, he called well in advance to discuss it. I was in no hurry, so I gave him latitude to set a priority for other clients if he needed. He was always very courteous and professional. As someone who owns and operates five companies, I appreciate someone like Miguel who is just as dedicated to high standards on a personal and performance level.
Do yourself a favor and call him.

    Amundson Construction
Sean Amundson was professional from the first phone call to the final
one. He did some repair work on a shower project along with installing
flooring in one of our rental homes.
I live 1500 miles away and signed up with Angies List and found his
company along with great reviews and decided to give him a try. He was
able to work directly with the tenant and complete the job sooner than
expected. Would gladly have him do future jobs if the need arises.

    Wood Flight
My husband is a perfectionist. In 25 years of multiple home ownership, Ted is the first carpenter/ re-modeler whom has met his high standards.
Ted is also a perfectionist, as well as an old school artisian. He is prompt, reliable, friendly, courteous and educated.
For his initial assignment, he made sure the design and stain matched exactly existing custom cabinetry. He hewed the butcher block from our raw slab of black oak and made it fit perfectly. He offered ideas to incorporate into the design a tiny strip of granite left over from initial counter installation, a difficult job to do.
Previously, another company had done a botched job refinishing our wood floors. When they returned to redo the job correctly,
we felt comfortable leaving for a week with Ted to oversee them. This time it was done perfectly.
Ted works wonders with tile as well. He cut and installed a tile floor cut in a perfect diagonal in a tight bathroom configuration.
Ted has been sought out by celebrities but does not charge celebrity prices. We are blessed that he has relocated to the San Luis Obispo area.
