  • The garage was in very poor condition and Sunrise Roofing replaced
a lot of the plywood sheeting and reroofed the entire 2 car garage.
The main house they replaced the roof membrane and redid the tile roof.
The upper deck was stripped of the inferior materials that the previous home
owner / builder had done and a 5/8" plywood sheeting was laid with 2
layers base sheet and 2 coatings of hot tar on top and covered with tile.
Unfortunately I assumed that the tile decking would be of the same quality workmanship as the garage roof had been and with the work being done upstairs with open joists, I did little checking until the job was done.  Boy was I wrong. Many of the grout lines are 1/2 to 3/4ths of an inch and the tile floor is totally uneven.
Now I have the home up for sell as I have moved out of state to be closer to my family.
During a home inspection it was found that Sunrise Roofing had not sealed the gap up against the house and water pours through this gap to the 1st floor with absolutely NO restrictions.
I have called Sunrise Roofing at least 7 times and my realtor has also placed several calls to them.
Unfortunately they use a 2nd cell phone to take all
calls directly to voice mail and apparently only return the calls for new work.
The 5 year  Workmanship Guarantee that Sunrise Roofing provide me, is TOTALLY worthless and I have had to hire other workmen to repair the work Sunrise roofing did.
For your piece of mind, DO NOT deal with a contractor that does not take your calls live. Obviously a piece of advice I should have  heeded myself.

  • They were on time, professional and fast.  They kept me informed along the way about the process of hooking up to the SoCal energy grid and installed what is still ranking as one of their top 10 highest-producing systems.
They have grown about 10-fold since that time and continue to support community activities in Palm Springs on a very frequent basis.
They employ people who give you the straight answers and work with you to find the best possible installation for your needs. They have found ways to make it affordable for people to install and reduce their bills and they make it a win-win... you never feel like they are just trying to get more of your money and their installation designs are incredibly invisible instead of the eye-sores installed by some solar companies.
I am proud to be a part of the HPE community and i couldn't be happier with my solar system.   I have had refunds almost every year and when I didn't it was caused by problems with my air-conditioner which created more demand than it should have.
    Hot Purple Energy rocks!!

  • Their guy got up on the roof with me and recommended what I should do in the tear off and then showed me how to make the job much easier. The whole job was made more difficult due to the high desert winds but they kept me aware of schedule changes, and when they showed up I was amazed at the speed and quality of the work.

  • iThis is a long story.  One that took over 3 years to finish my kitchen. A very sad story.
it all started out after my husband died.  I went into the designer in the beg of the summer and told him I wanted an estimate for my bathroom and kitchen.  They sent people out to measure which cost money to do.  Then he Promised we would get the kitchen done by the end of the summer. He told me that the cabnets would take 6 weeks to come in and we would have it done   by the time I go back to teaching and having the kids in school.
We guess what the kitchen is still not completely finished.  After 3 designers messed up and it all had to be redone. And the customer representive had a really snotty attitude when she dealt with me.  The sad part was the head manager was trying to make it right. But his workers were not.  I was treated like I had the problem.  The head manager did offer to reinstall the cabnets. and intstall the appliances. Which the rep rolled her eyes at.  He offered to pay cost for the counter tops and then paid for the D one without blacksplash. and support bars for the breakfast bar.  2 of the designers had quit or been let go and they both said my job was botched.  The first designer order so many small cabnets and fillers and 3 sets of moldings just to get the price up.  For a 10 by 10 kitchen it ended up being 7 thousand dollars which included 20 percent off. He used selling tactics to get me to agree to an incresse of 1000 dollars over the phone. Told me it would be more expensive the next day. HE wanted to charge it to my  credit card.  When I asked him for an estimate for installation it was a 1200 difference than he had orginally told me. He said " let's just charge it to your card."  so I asked for a detailed estimate. He charged me the orginal price of 79 dollars to install each cabnet.( 22 iwith large filler in a 10 by 10.   Then extra for leveling the cabnets. trash throw away. We had already decided I would throw it away.  O and charges for cutting the holes in the cabnets for the plumbing.   mmm  I also hated my design. He never came out to the site and would only show me the one design,  He wouldn't give me an estimate for countertops.
The second designer enlarged the tiny cabnets/ They were measure 12 inches on the plan but that is not what was installed. Also the cabnets were not centered in the sink. They were too close to the door.   The second designer put a top cabnet on the bottom without a toekick. ONe of the cabnets was broken.  There is son much more to this story.
I was really trying to work with Homedepot because I thought they were trying to make it right.  Last summer I went in to ask if the installers could install the molding on the bottom and fix the drawer and fix the vent, and install the a toe kick to on of the cabnets.  I was greeting by such hositlly by one of the assistant managers. The top manager has left to another store.
He accused me of doing work  on the side with one of the designers which wasn't true.  I had given him a note last August and asked why he never called me back. He said he threw it on the manager's desk so he doesn't know what happened to it. I asked where he got the info on the installer working for me. He sadi" All of us managers talk"  He was really rude and condescending. He told me to write it up again.  He had promise me in Aug. that he would get the work done by time school started which was in two weeks.  I never heard from him. THis has been a nightmare.   I don't want to even walk in the store again.  I teach 33 kids and am a widowed mom of two boys.  I have elderly parents out of state . My life is so busy that this has been a real regret. And I would not take it futher if he had just been nice and put the toekick on.
