Window Replacement reviews in Moreno Valley

    Silver Lining Restoration
It went very well. Everything got done in 1 whole day. I have had relatives tell me horror stories of their experience's with other well-known window companies when their windows got replaced and it took days to get things done. You won't be disappointed. Everyone was extermly friendly and understanging.

    California Showcase Construction
The salesman was knowledgeable and not too pushy. He knew enough about the products to answer my more technical questions. He had a polished delivery and was the third solar company that I had pitch me. California Showcase Construstion was licensed, bonded, and insured and has a good reputation with the Better Business Bureau (which isn't all it's cracked up to be but that's why we're here on Angie's List).
The permit process with the city took six weeks as they're backed up. Once the permit was pulled the panels were installed very professionally with respect for my roof. They painted the electrical conduit to match the roof and the stucco of the walls. I found out that I was required by the city to have $1800 worth of electrical panel upgrade. That took a couple of weeks to schedule. The electrician cut out the old panel, enlarged the hole on the side of my home and installed and wired a new panel. The work was done very well with the stucco being replaced and painted to look like the original.
A couple of weeks later a different pair of electricians came by to finish the system and hook up the solar array. They said that the conduit from the arrays down was the wrong diameter and that portion of the job would need to be reworked. Apparently they were wrong as the city inspected the system and signed off on it.
Eight weeks later nobody had come by the house to commission the system so I called to see where the project was. I was told the foreman would call but he never did but within a week someone visited the house and performed the work. I was kind of concerned as nobody called in advance to say they were coming nor was I at home. My wife was and supervised the work - not an idea situation as I am the electrician, not her. As soon as the guy had finished the work he asked my wife for a check for the $27,900  job. She said no and the guy called me. I told him I had been waiting five months for the project to be completed and he would have to wait the five minutes for me to actually see the promised system was delivered before I was going to pay for it. He had the owner call me who was much more understanding about my concerns and allowed me to actually come home from work to inspect the completion.
Nobody "commissioned" the system with me to show me how the Internet based reporting system worked but I figured it out on my own. That was a promised deliverable that wasn't delivered to me. If it was delivered to my non-technical wife it was a waste of time.
It appeared to me that my project had fallen off someone's list and until I poked them to remind them nothing was going to happen. It took nearly five months to finish the project with about 6 weeks of that waiting for the local city. Overall things were very good and I would recommend this company to someone else looking for a solar system installation despite the minor issues and schedule delays. I've supervised many projects and they all have small issues, it's how the company handles them that makes a difference. California Showcase Construction was responsive to my requirements and it just seems that my schedule issue was "one of those things".

    Pedrino Home Remodeling
This deal felt more like a "bait and switch" than an actual deal. They only offered one type of window shutter, which was the most expensive. Therefore, the "$400" credit for the $99.00 I already paid barely made a dent in the total cost for even my smallest window, which, by the way, is a smaller than an average size window. Not to mention that I requested the salesman to email me a quote of all the windows he took measurements for so that I could have a complete picture of the outrageous cost, which I have yet to receive. Definitely won't be using or recommending them. Just $99.00 wasted!

WinDor - High Quality Windows & Doors
They were excellent! Our salesman, Cory, was very professional--he explained all the details and worked hard to get our business. The installers were punctual and the job was completed on time-they also cleaned up all their mess inside and outside. I highly recommend them. The windows are beautiful and work perfectly!

    C & J Skylights
We are very pleased with their work. I don't remember the exact dates they came and I think it was in 2012 or so. The price was fair considering we needed them installed and could not do it ourselves. I would highly recommend them again..

    RONDY'S GLASS SVC
The job went very well. On the day of install George called at 8am to let us know they would be there at 8:30am. I had removed the window coverings and relocated furniture for his guys to access all the windows. The Rondys Glass crew was careful, great to work with and professional. All the old windows were removed, they were able to remove the old sliding glass door frame without any damage to the stucco, this enabled a full size sliding glass door installation. The new windows are very nice, and with just a few days with them seem to be helping with the A/C, I celebrated the install with bumping down the temp to 78F during the day from 79F. September is normally a very hot month for us, and it will be a good test.

    Mike's Remodeling and Repair
My home was built in 1974 and it was time for a updated kitchen. We already updated all our windows with of Mike's Remodeling and Repair back in 2011 and enjoyed his excellent work, persona and resceptfulness.
I know we where far from his home in West Covina but he was just completing another job down the street from us when we stopped and asked for a window replacement quote. To my surprise he agreed to come back to MoVal. That's a Nice guy in my book anytime.
I asked him the next year for a quote for a Kitchen remodel and I hired him right on the spot for his next opening. On time and without one single problem. This guy is a hard worker and so is his employee, I must say I highly recommend his work. After all was done I now still sit in amazement of the quality of craftsmanship. We now saving up for a room addition and yes I will contract Mike again without hesitation. Every morning, it's Wow what beautiful kitchen
Thank you Mike we cannot wait to see what you do wiith the New room addition!

The work crew showed up on time at 8:00 A.M.  They methodically and without fanfare replaced all windows in my home.  This crew was the MOST professional of any crew that I have ever hired.  They were finished by 2:00 P.M. and the windows are absolutely awesome.

    Elite Home Energy
l was approached by a door-to-door person appearing to represent a government agency that provided rebates toward environmental improvements to my home.
I was interested in exterior improvements, paint or texture coating of some kind that would retain the breathable qualities of my stucco exterior. He made a call and set me up with an appointment for a quote. It was not until this time that I determined he did not represent the agency but rather Elite Home Energy. This raised my radar...
At the appointment time, the Elite Home energy guy made measurements and gave me a quote (over $15,000 for the SealCoat process they wanted to use.) Then I asked what it would cost for a re-stucco to re-coat my existing surface. He gave me a quote which was even higher... saying all the existing stucco would have to be removed and replaced with a new surface.
I let him know that I'd have to save up to get that kind of work done (either the SafeCoat or the Stucco.) At this time he filled me in on the and quot;deal.and quot; The work would be financed and the bill would be paid with my annual tax bill (that's where the government gets involved.) I was greatly disappointed in that plan as it is not at all a smart way to pay for home repairs or improvements.
Neither of the quotes was provided to me in writing, nor did the representative leave me anything but a business card.
He was a good kid, but I don't think this was very professionally done. I believe a trusted company would give me a written quote, especially if it was something they were willing to honor for up to a year. I felt they were deceptive in getting me to my door for the first encounter implying they represented an agency meant to inform me of some ownership rights toward possible grants.
Elite appears to do good work as I have read over other reports of them on Angie. But GOOD businesses don't have to resort to these practices to solicit business. They never lied to me, but you don't have to lie to be deceptive. I probably wouldn't use them for that reason alone. Not sure I could trust them.
