I called for an estimate and I had a question that the guy who answered the phone could not answer, So I asked that the owner, Shane, Call me. I never heard back after 5 days. I sent several messages through angies list since then but I still never got a response.

I contacted Chris from George Parks Roofing & Painting and explained to him the work I needed. (I had to have several pieces of roof tiles changed out before we sold our home.)  After asking me several questions, Chris was able to figure out my roof style and color, and then we schedule time for them to repair everything.
Within a few days while I was at work, the job was done. What I loved most was that he was very direct and didn't try to haggle with me. I loved that it was so easy. The quality of work was great too. Since then, I have used Chris's company to also to do painting for our office building. It's always been great.

Bob Adalian is advertising now under his father's license, but Bob Adalian is an unlicensed contractor who has been previously cited, fined and issued a Stop Order from the California State Contractor's License Board.    There are also many negative complaints from other consumers, including a Better Business Bureau Complaint in December, 2011.
Bob Adalian is not licensed, is unable to get licensed, and has - in the past - used nothing but undocumented workers.   One of these workers caused an accident wherein the large landcape truck drove into someone's home - and Bob did not have the insurance to cover the damages.
The CSLB has sent me certified copies of his citations and abatement orders to prove that this is the truth.
Please research the reviews on this company via Google - you will see the other negative comments that have been posted - and sadly, these complaints have all come since Bob Adalian starting hiding behind his father's company name.
Adalian Landscape had a stellar reputation prior to Bob Adalian (a.k.a. Bob Adalian Landscaping) beginning to work under his dad's company name.

The turbine doesn’t spin and I talked to him and he said there’s nothing more he can do.  He said that he installed a new one and that he correctly installed it. I've been out in the yard and looked and looked many times but the turbine won't spin. He told me that my house is lower than my neighbor's, which is why theirs is spinning and mine isn't. They also broke the glass in my chandelier when they were nailing the roof, because of this he took $20.00 off the estimated price, but it was still a lot of work to get it repaired.

Beverly was very nice on first contact.  Guy returned my call in a timely manner and set up a date for an estimate.  Guy arrived on time, conducted business very professionally while being down to earth and willing to answer questions.  The estimate was well below what I was expecting.  When I called back, Beverly was unable to make the appointment without consulting Guy.  I was advised that a 10% payment was required )check by mail or on a credit card) when booking an appointment (even though no booking had been done yet).  I asked, since today was Friday and I was hoping to have the job done Monday or Tuesday would the 10% check still have to be mailed, Beverly got defensive.  I left a message for Guy (cellphone).  Received a message from Beverly advising that our job would be scheduled for Tuesday.  Someone would call me Monday to give me the time, but most likely in the afternoon on Tuesday. When I had not heard from anyone by 1pm on Monday, I called Beverly.  Again, she got a little defensive when I asked for some hint of a time frame so I could make my other plans for Tuesday. Beverly advised she could not give me any information cause Guy had the schedule.  I tried calling Guy's cellphone, but do to very bad cellphone connection he was unable to help me immediately. I considered canceling service but decided that I liked most of what I had seen and heard so far - so I stayed with it.  Beverly left me a message that my service was to be 0730-0830 on Tuesday.  Arturo and Tony showed up by 0740 and were complete by 1000.  The gutters look wonderful and match perfectly with the existing ones.  The ones on the shed are great.  Of course, the true test will be when it rains, but I am happy with the overall experience.

Although we were not too impressed with the "first impression" from Preferred Home; they referred to Final Touch for roof specific work. Ovi contacted us in a timely fashion . Ovi came for the estimate prepared with licenses and other certificates for proof of coverage, etc. The price was reasonable (compared to at least 3 estimates). Ovi worked with us on date and time that was convenient for us. Ovi and his employees showed up on time, completed the work and cleaned up all work related "messes" in a timely manner. Only two things I can say I might not agreed with was that Ovi used his personal cellphone for business and, therefore, did not answer with a name or business name. Also, no copy of the work order was provided on scene - but e-mailed that evening.

Spoke with Tony - refused to come out and give a specific estimate. Said no matter what the size, would not do for less then 2 days and $2800 because of the people he had to hire. Said they are use to doing 200-300 thousand dollar jobs and know what they are doing. I was offended and felt belittled. I would never use these snobby people.

Spoke with three people, including Andy and Rueben. Each became evasive when advised that I was getting several estimates before deciding. Refused to come out for a personal estimate. Advised that work would be 2500-3500 with no measurement or viewing of old roof. Kept insisting on knowing who I had estimates from and how much - when I refused, became even more evasive and uncooperative. I would not use this company for anything.

The experience was good. The guys were professional. They pointed things out and asked me before they did anything. They were quiet and didn't play loud music. The owner takes a lot of pride in the company. I felt he was a little rough with the work people and talked badly to them in front of me. The owner's responsiveness was not that good.
