    Isaac handyman services
Isaac is a true professional handyman. First spoke over the phone and explained the issue. Gave us all possible scenarios with the most likely scenario being that the faucet was the issue so it was suggested that we purchase a faucet ahead of time to avoid any delay and fix the issue immediately due to the fact that we had an ongoing leak. Sure enough after closer inspection the leak in fact originated from the faucet and proceeded on changing the faucet which is not easy with a large deep single basin sink. We were due for a new faucet so we had no issue getting upgraded and resolving the leak at the same time. Finished the job in a timely manner. Even filled the soap dispenser with soap which was appreciated. The leak is gone and upgraded faucet looks great. We will definitely be in contact with Isaac in the future.

    Pure Home Remodeling
We have hired pure home remodeling for two semi big projects at our house. A complete kitchen remodeling project AND a complete master bathroom and bedroom. The work started by having several meetings with David and his designer who invested the time to truly understand us and what we want or need. After that, we started to talk about the design aspect of the work and they made sure to get into all the small details which now when the work is done, we can say that it was very smart and important to do. David made sure to stay within the agreed budget and not to pass it even though there were several changes that we did during the work. The working crew did a wonderful job and each part of it was signed off with a perfection label and after it was approved by David. We are so happy and pleased with how both projects turned out and mainly how our house got his fresh and new look. We wouldnt think twice in hiring them again for any future project.

    TME Construction Inc
After good clarification and detailed estimate adjusted to specific details, everything was clear as to what would be done. The job appeared routine, but because of excessive wear, position of heater, and Tony's pride in detail and execution, a new thresh hold, frame, and weatherstripping were all done to precision. The fascia work was done cleanly and exacting. Tony had to reschedule due to rain, busy schedule, and a door reorder which he readily took on, as the order was incorrectly filled by his supplier. We both dealt with the wait and it was worth it. Also, a big plus in my mind, there was no quibbling whatsoever about his honoring of a 10% discount to his senior citizen and paid subscription Angie's List customers.

    TME Construction Inc
Stop looking. You have found the construction crew to use. Professional - with all the good connotations that come with that word.
We did our due diligence on this job. We had different contractors in for quotes that  varied in price as much as what  they said they would do
TME Construction was the highest quote we got. And at the end it was their knowledge, professionalism and follow through that got them our business. They never treated us as if it were just a little job.
We didn't want a kitchen remodel. We wanted to get a stove out and another in its place that was an inch wider which meant cutting the counter-top and back splash (Formica).  And we wanted to add a fan where none existed.
Tony came with his crew (on time) and had the job completed in a little over three hours. When they left, after testing to make sure everything worked (and was clean!), there was no sign they were ever here except for the new range, back splash and hood -- and happy customers.
We plan on using them again. We made the right choice. You get what you pay for.

    CMS Handyman Service
I used Big Deal coupon from angieslist. This was my second time using CMS.
I forgot the painters name, but he works for CMS.  He was efficient, neat and friendly.  Excellent job.  I had to pay ($20) for the blue tape and plastic covering so overall it was $120 for one room that would've taken me all day.  Highly recommended for larger jobs.

    Pedro Flores
Pedro was a friend of the family who was referred to me by a sister-in-law.  He did many small projects around the house and always was reasonably priced, responsive and did quality work.  When it was time to re-do my backyard, naturally I thought of him and got a verbal estimate.  The estimate was 6600 for the lower half of my yard (demolition, stamped concrete) and between 8000 and 10000 for the pool deck area.  He was going to build about 60 feet of planter/retaining wall because my neighbor sits about 2 feet higher than my property.  His estimate for that was 6000.  I trusted him (I know, my fault) because not only have I used him many times before, I assumed I would use him many times again for major projects I have coming up.  Not to mention, my sister in law throws a lot of major projects his way to buyers of homes needing repair.

Demolition went fast.  Started in September.  Pool guy came in to move pool equipment and I decided to do a bunch of work on my pool, including the addition of a hot tub.  Pool guy was referred by Pedro.  Pool guy was SLLLOOOOOW.  Didn't finish his work until Feb/Mar, blamed the delay on me (there will be a seperate report for him).  Pedro came to finish his portion and said I owed more money.  I had already paid him...I though we were even.  I gave him an additional $1000 to haul away a huge mound of dirt which was overgrown with weeds.  He never did it.

Not to mention he or the pool guy left a pile of construction crap/material in my driveway.  It looked like Sanford and Son.  He kept making excuses about hurting his back and then just didn't return my calls.

Bottom line:  Pedro does great work. But get a detailed, written estimate before you go with him, and only pay when work is complete.  Overall, my fault for being naive.  Expensive lesson learned.  Oh, and the planter he was going to charge me 6k for.......Belen Landscaping did it for just over one thousand.

    Nexxus Remodeling Inc
I noticed on a Monday that one of my garage rafters--the one holding the garage door opener and the ceiling light, and directly over where I park my car--was bowed and cracked all the way through. The rafters are 23 feet long! Made a frantic call to Angie's List. I normally have at least two or three on-site estimates done as a matter of course. In this case, I called a few recommended remodeling/repair companies and was told the job was too small or their minimum was more than I was willing to pay or they couldn't come out for a few days. I had visions of the rafter crashing down on my car at any moment. I finally called Nexxus Remodeling after spending about 45 minutes reading consistently highly-rated reports on Angie's List about this Tony Peretta guy and his company. The comments all said he was expensive but worth it, because you wouldn't be calling others to fix what he had done. Tony answered the phone himself, sent Francisco out a day or so later to see what needed to be done, and the work was completed by Thursday of the same week. Francisco and his assistant "sistered" a new rafter directly alongside the scary rafter, and did the same thing with three other 23-foot rafters that were starting to bow. The garage door opener and the ceiling light needed to be lifted from the original beam in order to place the new rafter properly, and appear to be better installed than before. One of the studs in the garage wall was cracked and twisted from the Northridge earthquake. They installed a new stud directly alongside the damaged stud. They caulked under and around an exit door in the garage that had been leaking, and also fixed it so that when I closed the door, it stayed closed and could be locked. What a concept! All in all, my garage now seems so sturdy and safe. Yes, Tony is expensive, but the work his crew did is impeccable and they cleaned up after themselves. They are polite, knowledgeable and quick.
