    We have hired pure home remodeling for two semi big projects at our house. A complete kitchen remodeling project AND a complete master bathroom and bedroom. The work started by having several meetings with David and his designer who invested the time to truly understand us and what we want or need. After that, we started to talk about the design aspect of the work and they made sure to get into all the small details which now when the work is done, we can say that it was very smart and important to do. David made sure to stay within the agreed budget and not to pass it even though there were several changes that we did during the work. The working crew did a wonderful job and each part of it was signed off with a ‘perfection’ label and after it was approved by David. We are so happy and pleased with how both projects turned out and mainly how our house got his fresh and new look. We wouldn’t think twice in hiring them again for any future project.

    We recently had our master bedroom and bathroom completely remodeled by Curtis construction services. From the first meeting that we had with Daniel, We found him to be very professional, honest, knowledgeable and very skilled in all the aspects of our remodeling project. Daniel was very useful in helping us by selecting and buying all the lighting and plumbing fixtures, vanities and built in shelfs, tiles and hardware. Daniel kept the work flowing very smoothly, with no problems and most of it, he made sure to keep us informed about any daily and weekly progress. We really appreciated all the attention to details and to the high quality of his workmanship and mainly to the working crew that did all the hard work. They all were very easygoing people, professional and it was a truly pleasure to have them working in our home. We would highly recommend Curtis construction and services for any remodeling projects.

    Ido, the project manager, met with us.  He paid attention to both of us and answered questions. We advised him that we needed to get several other quotes before we made a decision.  He understood.  When we made the decision, Ido came out to work out the specifics.  The contract was signed and down payment made with the understanding that the specific laminate still needed to be chosen. The morning that work started, Ido arrived shortly after Phillipo and Mario, who were doing the work.  Phillipo and Mario worked quickly and efficiently and had all the tools they needed in their truck.  It took Phillipo and Mario two days to complete their work.  The next day, Eli, arrived to paint the newly installed baseboards. He completed the job in several hours and it looked great.

    The issues we had with the job (as was expressed to Ido upon completion of the job) are as follows:

    - The contact issues we had with Ido due to his cellphone carrier change, caused some anxiousness on our part; however, when we contacted the office, they were good at seeing that Ido or someone contacted us back.

    - Ido was to bring us laminate samples on a specific day, but it was two days later and several phone calls later before we got them.

    - Ido told us that he would be at the work site at least once a day; he was there when they started and after the painting was completed for final payment but not the other days.  He was busy with other customers, but then should not have said he would be there every day when asked.

    - Ido advised us that "port-a-potties" were brought to worksites for employee use.  None was at our site.  We don't mind at all having workers use our bathrooms, but, we should not have been told otherwise.  We were told that since our site was so close to the office, the office decided that the workers could leave our site and use the restroom at the office if needed.

    - David, the site manager, showed up on site one day.  He smelled of old cigarettes and was not very personable. He pretended to be interested in our job for about 2 minutes, but then took one of the two workers to talk to him for about 1/2 hour about another job.

    - When there was a question about the baseboards, Ido was too busy to address the issue.  He wanted us to go with Phillipo (leave the house and worker at the house - not happening) to the store to chose a different baseboard OR to have Phillipo go to the store to get the samples, come back for us to chose then go back to buy what we wanted.  It worked out in the end, but we were not happy with the way it was handled.

    - After Phillipo and Mario finished the installation, they advised us that the painter would have to come to paint the baseboards.  They did not know when that would happen.  We called Ido to find out when.  He said he would find out and call use back.  The following day we had still not heard back from Ido.  We called Ido and left a message on his phone then called the office for a time.  Violet, at the office, got back to us in an hour to advise that the painter would be at our site around 2pm.

    - Eli, the painter, showed up ready to work.  He asked where the paint was.  He was told by the office or Ido that we would have the paint on site.  We did not.  After a call to Ido, I was told that Eli could go buy the paint if he needed to.  Eli used paint that he had left over from another site.  It worked well since it was the color needed and there was enough to do all the baseboards, but this was unprofessional.

    - When Eli first arrived, we received a call from Violet at the office, telling us to give the final approval form and payment to "the employee that was on site".  It seemed like they office did not even know the name of the "employee" on site.  I refused since I had been assured that the final payment and approval form did not get turned in until the project manager met with us and was sure of our satisfaction. 

    - When Ido came late on the final day, we advised him of all these issues.  He was understanding and assured us he would address the issues. He assured us that if we decide to do another job, he would see to it that we are compensated for our issues.

    The actual work done on the house was great!  Phillipo, Mario and Eli did great work! We are pleased with the outcome, but the process to it was a bit nerve-racking.

    Contractor was initially hired to provide us with a kitchen design.  The first meeting went well and all the parameters were discussed.  The contractor provided us with plans at our second meeting (he explained a misunderstanding on his part)  that were not what we provided.  Oddly enough, he lucked into a better design.  He provided us with a quote we found acceptable and we scheduled a follow up meeting to narrow the parameters.  I should point out that when he made his estimate, we left him alone in the kitchen for quite some time and allowed him to open and close all the cabinetry as needed.  We pointed out at this time that the cabinets had waste disposal lines and water lines running through them that were existing from a prior owner (we bought our house as a prior foreclosure).  Contractor said he didn't see those initially but didn't feel it would be major issue and didn't think it was necessary to modify his quote.
    We chose to contract with this contractor based on our feel, reviews on Angie's list and details provided in the contract and understanding of our needs.  The job was scheduled for later in the year based on mutual timeline issues and needs.  The job started as planned and demolition appeared to go well.  We again pointed out the waste lines and water lines in the existing cabinets.  It was at this time that Sean "didn't remember" the issue with the waste lines and supply lines.  These lines are needed as they are for our laundry.  We did point out this issue to Sean previously, however I honestly don't feel we stressed it well enough for him to "remember" it well.  Sean explained that a change order was needed.  We also asked to have under-cabinet lights installed as well.  This was also added to the change order.
    Prior to the demolition, we showed Sean the lighting we had bought and showed him where they should be installed.  We pointed at our beamed ceiling and explained that we wanted him to use EMT conduit for the wiring.  He appeared to understand our needs here and all was agreed upon.  Soon after the demo was done and work had begun, my wife called and said they wanted to drill through a beam in order to facilitate wiring for the lighting.  I found this confusing as we agreed on EMT conduit.  When I returned home, I found that the crew was attempting to install Armored Cable.  This necessitated another meeting with Sean and his Foreman Tal.  We again asked about the conduit and Sean explained that the "Armored Cable" they were installing was their understanding of conduit.  At this time, he said his staff' could not install the lighting with the EMT as we liked.  It was at this time that Sean and his foreman tried to talk us out of installing the lighting this way as it was non-traditional and out of the ordinary for home use.  His Foreman went so far as to call the look "Ugly!".  Fortunately, I have a good friend that is skilled in bending tubing (it's not a difficult skill) and my wife and I were able to preserve the integrity of the beams and obtain the look we wanted for our kitchen.  Basically, they did not do this part of the job.
    Flooring, the new tiles were installed well.  We were asked by the Foreman if it would be okay to install the grout after the cabinets were installed.  I explained that this worries us as kitchen's deal with a lot of spills.  We felt that if liquids leaked into unfilled grout lines under cabinetry in a kitchen it may likely lead to mold or worse (bugs!).  i'm still surprised they asked if they could skip that
    Cabinets.  The Cabinet installation was done by a subcontractor.  Their were many issues.  However, Sean would not provide us directly with the Cabinet installation company so we are providing our review here.  The install only went okay and the installers had to come back 3 times to correct irregularities and (at my suggestion) cover a scratch with trim.  I'm going to provide detail on one issue as an example.  There was a large piece of wood that needed to be trimmed for proper fit.  The size of the original piece approximated a 4 x 8 piece of plywood.  The installer needed to make a cut across the narrow piece of plywood and decided to do so with his portable table saw that placed on the floor of our driveway and plugged into the exterior plug alongside the garage (not a problem).  I noticed that he was trying to lead the extremely large piece of wood with the long side facing outside of the table saw (as he was cutting it along the narrow side) with his crew mate holding the large piece of wood level with the table saw while he leaned into the wood (on his knees) leading it through the (blade guard removed) table saw while trying to avoiding being cut himself.  I stayed away from this as I assumed they'd done this dangerous maneuver before.  However, I trully expected to have to call emergency at some point in time (glad I didn't).  Anyway, they were forcing the very thick wood through the table saw to quickly and the blade was beginning to bind and the motor sounded like it was straining.  They in fact overloaded the breaker.  It was at this time that the workers went to Home Depot to get an extension cord rather than tell me they had overloaded the breaker.  Something I could have fixed for them in 5 minutes by flicking a switch. 
    Countertops.  These are excellent.  The installers were true craftsman that take great pride in their work.
    Back splash.  This was installed beautifully as well.  Our design was a combination of stone mosaic and 3 x 5 glass mosaics.  We were worried about the design.  However, the installer explained that he had done 14 color mosaics and this was easy enough for him to do.
    Timeliness and communication.  Sean does not always keep a stable timetable and at times didn't communicate when he'd be late until well after his agreed upon meeting time. I will point out here that this does not translate to his staff'.  They were all good at keeping schedules and timeliness.
    Cost.  2 issues.  There was a 40% excess of glass tile ordered for the back splash installed in the kitchen.  I tried to overlook this, but when I remeasured the kitchen with any possible or allowable extras, the amount ordered was well beyond our needs.   Second issue.  We selected a floor tile hat was 12 x 24.  We were able to purchase a sample and take pictures of the pricing of the tile.  However, when the price was passed on to us it was passed on at twice the square footage.  When the above issues were discussed with Sean he took exception at us questioning a 40% excess.  Two things went really bad here.  I realize being told 40% overage is upsetting, but mistakes do happen and I would've accepted this as an explanation had the two following things not occurred.  First, I was accused angrily by Sean that I was trying to cheat him (I'd written check's in excess of $30k at this point ~ would I really cheat you of a few hundred bucks?  Second, I was later told rather loudly that overages were necessary in order to maintain productivity.  I do understand the latter point, but 40% is way to excessive to justify that and offsetting your worry about production flow to your clients by intentionally purchasing costly product is in my opinion a questionable ethical concern.  Sean did finally agree to write down his bill.  However, getting there was a rockier road than was necessary.  It was this last meeting that had us deciding not to use Sean for further work.  I should point out that he has very good people working for him and perhaps he let his pride get the best of him at that time.  I did wait a year to post this review as I wanted our own "feelings" to level.

    Installation was excellent. Previous carpet showed the seam. We can't see the seam at all even if we look for it. The installers were prompt and took just a little over an hour for the one room. I would suggest that before deciding on a carpet color to take the time to get a large sample. We do like the color even though it looks different than the 1 1/2 inch square we picked it from. I am just concerned that it might be too light of a color. We have 30 days and can exchange it so time will tell.

    Dear Curtis Construction,
    Our deepest thanks for making my laundry room so beautiful and functional.  We completely gutted the laundry room to move the washer/dryer to a better position.  New floors and drywall, and I even got new cabinets so there is storage for everything. 
    We also had a mold issue that was resolved. The job was done to meet my deadline.  All the crew was great.  I would highly  recommend Curtis Construction for big or small jobs.  I am really pleased.

    Wow! I got lucky this time.  After two devastating and costly failures, I finally found a contractor (Tony) that cares, both about the quality of his work, down to the smallest details! Tony works with you in every step of the way, he was referred to me by a friend who had some work done in his house, I was so happy with Tony?s work that I had him completely remodel my kitchen, including: tile flooring, custom cabinets, plumbing, a water heater, creating a bar area, hardwood floors, paint and recess lights in my living room and the bedrooms. Everyone loves my kitchen especially my wife (A happy wife equals a happy life). Due to his exceptional
    work I thought it was necessary for me to write this review. In conclusion, I highly recommend Tony to all in need of construction and remodeling.

    We are thrilled with the work Dave's crew did. Dave was a true professional, he checked in to make sure that everything was going well, occasionally did a walk through with us to make discuss any changes to the original plan and see to it that the crew knew. The project ended up going about 2 weeks over but the results were great and part of the reason why it went over is because we asked for the crew to change out the doors to all of our bedrooms which took extra time to paint and install all 7 doors. Dave provided us with a timeline of what will be done so that we could prepare to get the materials needed in advance.
    The  crew- they were great. We were impressed with Julio the young foreman who led the crew well and provided us with great solutions whenever we came across a small problem. Very smart and talented. The rest of the crew were also very talented and very courteous and friendly. 
    I have to give them all credit to coordinate the schedules between me, my dad and my husband to make sure that there was someone home to open the door and close after them. The guys took time to clean up afterwards and they seem to work very well together. 
    The scope of the job- knocked down a wall that where the old furnace was and the kitchen broom closet to incorporate the extra space of a huge beautiful bathroom. They had to move the piping around since we rearranged the vanity & tub, The bathroom remodel was permitted and had no problems with inspection whatsoever. 
    The family room got  a facelift. They ripped out the old shag carpeting, removed some old brick that used to be part of the patio, tore down an old ugly bar. They painted the walls, ceiling, installed recessed LED lights which I love. Samuel did a fantastic job laying out the tile that we chose. They were really large tiles that looked like finished concrete to give it a little bit of a modern look. They installed a simple wet bar which looks much cleaner and modern than what we had before. 
    Not only did Dave and his crew do a beautiful job with our big remodel, their prices were reasonable considering the work that went into it. I appreciated how they responded to any questions or concerns we had and called in the experts to address the issues to insure that we were happy with the results.
    I would highly recommend them to anyone and would hire them again for future projects. Thank you Dave & Crew!

    Guy came over the same day that I called, right on time, to consult on my bathroom project. I already had some ideas from other contractors and Guys was able to show me the advantages and disadvantages of the designs that other contractors had suggested for my bathroom. I continued to shop around with 5 different contractors, but I really felt the most comfortable with Guy. He seemed very honest and straight forward from the beginning. We decided to award the contract to Paragon Builders.
    We continued to iron out the details for the project. Each time (and there were several!) he came over, he was always punctual. We finally decided on a final design and Guy helped us source the materials and find ways to save some dollars here and there. Once everything was finalized, we put together a timeline and they never missed a beat. Each day the workers were scheduled to work, they were always there just a little bit early to set up so they could get to work when we had decided. The crew was always very courteous and professional and each day they left the site, everything was swept down and cleaned.
    All that said and done, my fixtures, finishes and flooring, and especially my new lighting, are remarkable! Everyone that sees it are impressed by the workmanship. They always ask for the name of my contractor and I proudly and very happily give them the contact information for Paragon Builders. Be sure to ask for Guy!

    second bathroom. Daniel worked with us to keep the cost down, provided a detailed
    written estimate and came in on budget for both projects.  The work was done quickly with care to
