Tree Service reviews in Merced

It was a long process.  We started around May with all the removal of the old lawn and then the concrete.  The synthetic turf took a while to install because the distributer didn't have what we wanted, and when it was put in the first time, there was a seam (which Evergreen wanted to change- not us!). So, to have it replaced again took more time.  Once the turf was in, the rest of the yard came together very quickly. The yard was officially finished on 10/6/15.
Bob takes his time, but it is because he is a perfectionist.  And, really he worked with us and our budget because the synthetic turf is significantly more expensive than regular turn. We went in phases due to the budget issues, so that also slowed it down.  However, it was 100% worth the time and money.  We love the yard.  People think the turf is real.  I often find neighbors, visitors, etc, walking around barefoot on the turf to try it out.  My son and dogs LOVE it.  It turned out exactly how I wanted, within the budget we expected, and I can't wait until spring to really finish my planting.
Bob has also started on our backyard, and we hopefully will finish that next spring (waiting on some rain since we will use real grass).

Matt Hanko is great!  He is the owner of this business and did a wonderful job.  He was on time and gave me an estimate quickly.  He even went to my neighbors to explain what the plan was and to obtain their consent.  Absolutely pleased with everything throughout this process!

They knocked on my door and asked if I wanted any tree service done. I asked for an estimate showed him what I wanted done. I told him I wanted a tree removed because it was too close to the house. I also had them trim all the limbs that were hanging over the house. They were here the next day. Hauled all the debris away (an extra charge for this) cleaned and raked up the yard. They also offer a 20% senior citizen discount. At least they did when I had my trees done.

I would definitely and have recommended them to my neighbors.

Dug up a big, old tree root system that took up about 50% of the back yard with a back-hoe that he brought through a removed section of the back fence. The fence was replaced as  if it had never been removed and all the roots and trunks pushed to one side of the yard for easy removal over time without cluttering the rest of the yard.

I chose him becuase he was bonded I needed to have some major tree maintenance performed. He brought 3 workers with him they worked from dusk to dawn and made sure the cleaned up after themselves. Very pleased with the services, he was very professional and a hard working. Worth every penny!

They were great. They showed up on time and took care of everything. They cleaned up, and they left. They were very quick and very thorough. Their price was also very good, and I would recommend them to everybody else too.

Contacted them to trim trees in the yard.  They were supposed to come by to  give an estimate but were a no-show.  Several attempts to contact them with voicemails did no good.  They never responded.

Anderson's Tree Service removed two large Raywood Ash trees and two bushes growing at the base of the trees. At my request, the trees were cut into fireplace size logs (we will split and dry). They had to remove a gate and fence section to get the chipper in. They cleaned up after the chipping and sawing of the logs were done. They raked the chippings evenly over the area. They replaced the gate and fence at the end of their job. I have referred them to my granddaughter for tree trimming. The only and quot;doand quot; I can make is if you request the tree(s) to be cut into logs, be sure to remind them when they arrive or after the tree has been cut down into sections. If you don't want the tree logs, they will remove the cut wood and haul it away. My 2 1/2 year old great-granddaughter periodically checked on the ongoing action from the dining room window.

A section of the fence was removed. Tree cutting went well. Tree trimmings were chipped. Tree cut into fire place log size. Stumps ground up and remains spread over area as mulch. Replaced fence. A good job considering the poor con-dition of the fence. Have referred the company to my granddaughter.

3 Brett's Tree Service employees arrived at approximately 9:00 a.m. to begin. Brett also came to get the job started and after a few minutes talking to my husband, Brett left.
Because of the size of the truck/with zoom boom on top, the trees in front were done first. The truck could not go into the back acre. The 2 employees worked non-stop to cut, chip, and clean up. The 3rd employee trimmed the lower branches on the pines in the backyard. He then went to fine tune the Bay Tree with a long ladder and tools. The 3rd employee had something in his eye and left to go to the Dr. around 11:00a.m. The two employees then went into the back yard with ladders, saws, and chainsaws. My husband and I hauled branches to the chipper non stop as Brett said whatever we could get to the chipper would be chipped. The young man and woman, Corey and Carrie (unsure of name spelling) continued to work without stopping the entire time on our property. They were professional, excellent workers, and a pleasure to have doing the job. Approximately 2:30 I saw my husband on the phone. It was Brett. He was upset that the employees were not finished and argued with my husband. My husband told him that Corey and Carrie had been working non stop and that there was more to finish and clean up and asked Brett to come and talk about it. Brett came and when he saw Corey and Carrie began to shout at them and he was so agitated that I had to go into the house to avoid saying something that would not be nice! My husband told Brett that no one stopped all day except the young man that left for the Dr. and did not come back. Brett was still upset but tried to placate my husband and I by asking how we liked the job. The bushes on the side were leveled at this point and chipped. Brett had originally said $500-$550 but now said $700. We realize this cost is not outrageous but he could have said this in the beginning and it would not have been an issue if we had the money and wanted the job done. Upping the price at the end of the job is not the best way to win repeat customers. We still had some huge branches left to chip and Brett left. Corey helped us get the huge ones cut and hauled to the chipper and Carrie chipped and before they left they cleaned up the driveway with a blower.
Overall the job was ok. We would have Carrie and Corey back anytime. It was unfortunate that Brett had lined up another job to be done the same day. He had ample time to see the scope of our trees and to plan appropriately. Corey and Carrie saved the day with such good hard work and just 2 of them to get it all done. We think they are basically a good service. As far as professionalism, the employees get an and quot;Aand quot;.
