I had two other people try to remodel my home and they left it a mess. Andrew came into the picture and make it a WAAAYYYY better experience because I was regretting that I started a remodel. Andrew and his crew did an amazing job on my floor, livingroom, bedrooms, dining area and bathrooms(minus showers). Andrew and his crew were extremely honest, punctual and professional. I was kept up to date on what was going to happen during the whole process. It was such a smooth remodel. Andrew and his crew put my home back together and cleaned up the mess the others left. I would definitely recommend Andrew and his crew! I cant wait for them to come back and finish my kitchen and showers! Below Ive attached videos of the before which will be the obvious mess that the other left and Andrew and his crew fixed. Also, below are progress pics I wish I took more completed pics!

    Specialty Roofing of CA, Inc.
We had four people recommend him to us. It went really well. They had an entire shake roof off in a couple days, and only took a couple days to get the new cool roof on. (It was rainy season) They used a special roofing that went over our patio, almost like fiberglass material that keeps out rain and weather to protect your patio. We were very pleased with the way thing s were handled with them too. They cleaned up and hauled everything away. It was done in a very reasonable amount of time and the cost was worth it.

    Richey Roofing
They did the job remotely as this is our second house in CA and we are in IL now.  They kept us up to date and quoted exactly what they charged.  Very helpful and even helped with setting up an additional security camera, running the wire across the length of the roof so I didn't have to crawl in the attic. Job came out great per the neighbors and the pictures they sent.  Would use them again if we need to.

    Specialty Roofing of CA, Inc.
Every one of the four Specialty Roofing workers who participated in my job was thoroughly professional in work performance and general behavior - respectful, courteous, and tidy.  All of them were cordial but focused - minimum chit-chat with me or even among themselves.  Almost all the excerpts of conversation I overheard were about the specific steps they should take in a particular phase of the roofing process.  All of these workers proved to be intimately familiar with their jobs, as well as attentive to detail and committed to quality.  Plus, I didn't hear a single expletive the entire time, not even when they were taking lunch breaks.

    Madison Roofing Inc
It went great.  Madison Roofing was very quick in getting us a quote to do the job and they were even able to save us some money.  They were very efficent in removing the old roof and hauling off the property.  They had the new roof on in a very timely manner and it looked better than the original.  Madison Roofing was very professional and we would highly recommend them to anyone needing a new roof.

    Got Gutters
The guy who came out was great. He was small and suggested a cheaper way to do what I wanted to do which was very nice. The installation was quick. I have had no problems with him. The responsiveness was okay. It is a little hard to get a hold of him because he is a one man guy. I think his wife took the message and then he contacted me. There is no question about using him again in the future.

Scott adjusted the closet doors on Thursday and gave us an estimate for the siding and gutter guards for the following day.  He removed the deteriorating siding, installed flashing, then cut a new piece and primed, attached and painted the siding with paint we already had.  He trimmed the gutter guards we purchased and installed them.

They showed up in the middle of the week to strip the old shake roof off, That took them all day. then they left my roof open for a week and it would of been longer but there was rain in the forcast so they came out to put the shetting on to cover there butts, Cuase if it had rained  there would of been a lot of damage to my home and it would of cost them a lot of money. So it was sheeted , Then three days later two guys showed up to start replaceing some dry rot that I had. that went on for three days. Then they finaly showed up to roof the house. That took three more days cause they didn't bring enough mateial to do the job.

About half way through the job I got a cll from the contractor and he told me that he made a miistake and bid it to low and that he needed $1,200.00 to finish the job, I told him that we had a contract and that was all I was going to pay. Had they done the job like we talked about I might of paid that extra money, But because they jacked me around so long I decided not to pay it. They also don't replace any of the old vents, which I thought was part of the job, My miistake. They also don't pull any of the old nailes they puound them in and that makes it dangerous if you need to get up in the atic to do anything cause all of these nails are sticking through and do a great job on your head, Like pooking holes in it. Not very safe , Again my fault I guess I should of asked but this is my first roofing job so I didn't know any better. THe workmanship on the roof was fine it's just that they took a lot longer to complet it they we agreed on.

I used this company to reroof my residence. The best part of my experience in dealing with this outfit was their sales person, after that it went down hill fast. In stripping off the old roof, they left a mess in my attic. Old shake shingles were left laying on the insulation, over air vents, on the ground. Their workers did not use ladder stabilizers thus they damaged my rain gutters. I have a small flat roof covering the front porch. They laid two ply comp/asphalt covering down but neglected to grade the surface so rain water could run off towards the drain as before. Now I get standing water up there every time it rains. Frank, who is "rude" to customers, refused to repair it. He explained to me it's code as long as it doesn't stand for more than 3 days. Our bath room's exterior wall juts out slightly at the vanity. It has a small roof over it. When winter rolled around, after a good rain, I noticed I had large bubbles forming on the celling over the sink area of the vanity. I got my ladder out, climbed up and discovered they failed to reroof this portion. I called and spoke with "Mr. Congeniality" again. He argued according to his drawings it didn't exist at the time the work was performed. He implied by his tone and demeanor that if it does exist, it was added recently. A representative had to come out and inspect my home before they completed the job. They only laid a single ply down, not the 2 ply which I agreed to originally. My fault. I should have checked their work before making final payment. If you use these people make sure you speak Spanish fluently as their workers do not speak English.

    American Roof Systems

American Roofing Systems......On or about May 07, 2004 I made the mistake of hiring A.R.S. to refurbish my shake roof a salesman showed up and we talked to him about doing the job, He said that there would be a man out to inspect our roof to see just what needed to be done. A few days later he showed up and looked at our roof and told us that the salesman would be back out to discuss it with us. The salesman showed up and said he had some good news and some bad news, The bad news is that our roof is in bad shape, The good news is that they could save it. He said that I needed about 2/3 of the shakes replaced and that they would be putting on new shakes with there own fire retardant he then pulled a shake out of his brief case and with a small blow torch he tried to set it on fire and it didn't burn but these weren't the shakes that they put on my roof, By CA. law any shakes being put on a roof had to be impregnated with fire retardant this would of cost them to much money to do so the didn't use them. They even told me that they hired a chemists to make a fire retardant that they use. But anything that is sprayed on the shake roof isn't going to last. They also broke the CA. law by asking for more than 10% of the money up front that was my mistake for not checking out the laws before I paid them.   The price for the roof restoration was $6045.00 they then required  $2,750.00 up front. I didn't feel that the price was to high because they where going to replace 2/3 % of my shakes. Which never happened.   On or around 5/17/04 they started the work and finished about 6/17/04 and where paid in full. then the first rains came that's when all of the trouble started. I called them numerous times and they never got back to me, I  was on disability at the time from an motorcycle accident and they knew that I couldn't check  there work because I couldn't get up on the roof to inspect there work but from looking at it from the ground I could see that they didn't replace near the 2/3 % of the shakes that they said that I needed they didn't even replace the ridge cap on the roof.   There was a lot of phone calls that weren't returned, So I called the better B.B.B. and filed a complaint with them, Not long after that I finally got a call from A.R.S. and they said that they would be out in a few days. Then the B.B.B. called me back and said that A.R.S. talked to them and because they said that they where going to come out they didn't file my case. So much for the B.B.B.    Tom From A.R.S. showed up and we talked about fixing my patio roof and that they where going to strip it and put down new paper and stop the leaks. And that they where going to have a guy come out to put on the new ridge cap for the roof.   They did put down new paper, I Think. And a guy did show up to replace the ridge cap and while he was doing the ridge I took a piece of the shakes he was putting up and used my small blow torch and set it on fire, I asked the roofer where is my fire retardant, And he said that he didn't know and that I would need to talk to Tom about that. Any way after they where done working on the patio all was fine until the next rains came it leaked again.   Again after many calls to A.R.S. and nobody getting back to me I decided it was time to do something about it so I called another roofing and had them come out and look at my roof and they said that it still needed a lot of work so I hired them to do the work that I have already paid A.R.S. to do.   And when it was all done I filed a small claims complaint against American Roofing Systems. for the cost of the second company that I hired to finish the work American Roofing Systems. That cost was $3,5oo.00 I won the judgement but they had a long time to pay me the money, Not like I had to pay them all at once for working on my roof.   I have about forty pages of documentation on American Roofing Systems about this job plus court documents but they don't give a person enough room on this sit to put it all up. So if anybody would like a copy of them just get in touch with me.   If I was to do it all over again I wouldn't refurbishes a shake roof it is nothing but a big money maker for the roofing company's, Very little material is used it is mostly labor and if most of the roofing companies use Mexican labor like American Roofing Systems, The cost of the labor isn't much so it's a win win situation for the roofing companies. Pretty bad when you can't even talk to the people working on your roof.   So if you are thinking of getting your roof refurbished ( Which I don't Recommend ) or a new roof put on I would advise you not to use American Roofing Systems. You will have nothing but trouble trying to get your roof done right, You shouldn't need to fight with the roofing company a good company will do what they are contracted to do but not A.R.S.. so I fought them from 2004 till 2006  and still ended in court.   I am now thinking of doing away with the shakes and go comp. Every time it rains I worry that it is going to leak. I posted some pictures.........   P.S. American Roofing called me and said that they didn't think that they deserved a bad review because they weren't the last company on my roof. I disagree with that. If A.R.S. would of done the job that they where paid to do I wouldn't of needed to have another company up on my roof.
