Everything went very well. George is very meticulous and a perfectionist. This is O.K. with me. He built a beautiful Hog Panel fence and custom gate. I would recommend Triple G to anyone needing any type of fence.

I was pleased with the quality of the job and would probably hire this company again.
However, there were some issues with getting it done.  Because it was a small job, they kept changing the date to try and fit it in with other jobs in the area.  That was OK with me - I know it wouldn't be profitable for them to be driving all over the county in a random pattern.  Somewhat more annoying, however, was the sense that I had to keep calling or emailing to stay on the radar.  And, even though the guy who provided the initial estimate took a chip to match the stucco color, when the workers came out to do the job, they had no paint.  They said they would come back if the color didn't match quite right, and they did - but they delivered paint rather than painting the patches.  Again, that works (the patches are low enough I don't have to get on a ladder to do it)...but it wasn't what I would have preferred.

He continually stayed in contact with just about every detail and made suggestions when I wasn't sure what to do. Together the results paid off and showed in the final outcome. Totally satisfied. Thank Russ and Darren.

    Soares Lumber & PSG Fencing
We needed to replace our depilated fence and our neighbor was willing to split the cost.  So I had 4-5 bids.  Our neighbor had used PSG before on her back fence.  Their bid was the most reasonable.

Two guys, Roberto the lead showed up on time around 8:00 am with the flat truck full of pickets, grass boards post and whatever else is needed to put up a fence.  In two hours our old fence was down and on their truck.  In two half more hours they were completed!  Amazing,  Some other contractors had told us 3 days.  And the pickets are very nice looking, uniformed redwood.

Couple of old boards were laid on our plants, but no harm.  Fence is uniform, post holes all re-dug and even did extra work, no charge, cut down dead bushes by the fence line.

So a few weeks later, I met with another neighbor on the back, and we also used PSG to put up our back fence and for us, replace to gates.  Very well done the same day.  The two men worked continuously from 8-1 PM, then took lunch, and back to work. Super experienced fence men.  Poetry in motion.

Frank comes out personally, the owner to take the measurements.  Very personable man. (Where are the fresh eggs, Frank?)  Wife Karen takes care of the finance end, appointment scheduling on the phone.  Easy to reach and communicate with Frank and Karen.

Scott adjusted the closet doors on Thursday and gave us an estimate for the siding and gutter guards for the following day.  He removed the deteriorating siding, installed flashing, then cut a new piece and primed, attached and painted the siding with paint we already had.  He trimmed the gutter guards we purchased and installed them.

Everything went very well. Bill showed up on time for each meeting and was even early. Stucco work was done on schedule and looks great. Paint on the trim looks good, but the painter missed one window initially. He came right back out and finished, then put up the house numbers as well. No surprises with the estimate and final total. I only ever spoke to Bill and Bret(?) but both were professional and pleasant. Definitely will call them again for stucco needs.

I contacted three different fencing contractors in the Merced Area and received appraisals from all three that ended up nearly exactly the same cost - $5,000. They were approximately $100 different from each other. Due to a professional reference I received regarding George's work, I decided to go with his company. I am not disappointed! The quality of the work that George provided was outstanding. I will warn those that are wanting a fast job - George is not the person to do that for you. He does the majority of the work himself. However, I'll take a slow and steady perfectionist any day over a slap dash contractor. George communicated with me every day so I knew the status of the work. The old fence was removed a side at a time - all rotted fencing removed by George. Any mess he created, he cleaned up as soon as that side of the fence was complete. The dirt in my backyard is hard so he had to use a pick axe to create the post holes! I did want to point out that there was a small area where the neighbors concrete pad had bled into the fence line and George was able to cut the grass board to fit snugly around it rather than having to do anything with the concrete which saved me some time and money. While I would have loved to spend a little bit less, I can't blame George for the cost since it seems that is just the going price these days. I have photos of the work, if I can figure out how to upload them, I will.
I give George my highest recommendation for quality of work. You will not regret hiring this contractor!

    Ellison's Painting
I give Brandon an average performance overall because he & his helper weren't real picky about doing an outstanding job.  They missed a lot of spots of moss on the low wall and just painted right over them so I will have to go over those areas.  Also, in the areas where Brandon patched the cracks, you can see the repairs through the paint.  I told him I wasn't happy and he did come back and paint over the cracks again, and when I could still see the repairs, he said sometimes that's just how it is.  I told him "If that's how it is, then how come I don't see repairs in other stucco buildings that have been painted?"  But, at least he DID come back like I asked so I give him points for that.
Brandon's a charmer and seems eager to please (at first) but the paint job was just average.  He was one of the cheapest bids, so I guess you get what you pay for.
It took him  a  little longer to patch/repair the wood trim and stucco than he thought it would so he did take a little longer to finish the job, but basically, he showed up when he said he would (although he DID start the job a week later than we agreed on).

    Milne Painting
Todd and his crew were very hard workers, who checked with me frequently about various issues and made sure I knew what was happening at all times.  The suggestions that Todd made were smart ones, that enhanced the finished product.  I've never seen harder workers who, on some days, worked more than ten hours.  Their dedication to making me happy with the paint job, made them by far the best painting crew I've hired in the 33 years I've lived in my home.  I've had the house painted several times over the years and the Milne crew was the best!  I highly recommend Milne Painting and am grateful for their dedication to doing a great job for a very reasonable price.  I can't recommend them highly enough!

    Thalen Painting
Started fast. Got the quote one day and work was started the next day.My wife and I removed items that were hanging in the way. Herb did the pressure washing as soon as everything was clear. He asked for help when it was time to replace the 2 x 6's for the eve. Then he did the prep work and did the painting. When the painting was completed my wife and I looked over everything and found a few areas that needed touch up. He took care of everything. My wife and I did cleanup from paint spills but were still happy with the price and the new look. The job started on 5/7/13 and was completed on 5/15/13. We are happy with the work that was done.

06/09/13 Less than 1 month after having our house painted we noticed bubbles under the new paint on our railing and noticed some areas that weren't painted at all. We contacted Herb Thalen of Thalen Painting and brought it to his attention. We were told that when the weather changes in a month the bubbles should disappear. I told Herb the bubbles were sealed air pockets due to the paint not bonding to the rail. I was told he couldn't com and correct the problem for a month because he is busy now.
