  • Later in the evening, my husband's fever spiked and he seemed really confused.  He was stumbling when he walked.  I called Dr. Rabin (by now it was around 10pm) and he said get my husband to an emergency room because he needed to be seen by a doctor ASAP.  He told us to go to Sequoia Hospital as they are less busy than Stanford and he was likely to be seen quicker.  I got him there very quickly. The whole time my husband was saying he didn't want to go to the emergency room.
It turned out my husband had pneumonia and sepsis.  For those of you that don't know, sepsis is when the bloodstream is over whelmed with bacteria. Blood pressure drops, and major organs and body systems including kidneys, liver, lungs, etc. stop working properly. My husband was immediately seen and treatment started.  At something like 3 AM he was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit where he remained for 2 days and then another 4 days in the main hospital.  I was told that if he had not been seen when he was it is very likely he would had died.  My husband at the time was 53 years old, in great shape and in extremely good health.I am eternally grateful that Dr. Rabin was available when I needed him. His calm manner was very reassuring throughout these stressful events.  Dr. Rabin followed up and spoke with the emergency room doctors as well as the Intensive Care and hospital doctors on a daily basis.  When I couldn't get answers from the doctor at the hospital he told me who to make an effective complaint to, and he followed up with that doctor and the nursing staff to get the answers we needed.
Dr. Rabin is extremely thorough in all visits.  He will monitor all your care; He asks that when you see other doctors that you have them send him notes on the visits and their course of care. see send him notes.  He has made excellent recommendations for specialists.  He is cognizant of medical costs and does not do tests unnecessarily.  However, if you want a specific test and can give him your reasons he will discuss them with you and together you determine the course of action.  He is a collaborator.  He is not the kind of doctor who makes it clear he is the expert and he will make the decisions (which is so much of what I see today).  He is a joy to work with.  He does the most amazingly thorough physicals.I know this review is long but this guy is amazing!

  • They are very good. It was not a long wait and the doctor is very thorough. I think it is very hard to actually become a patient there simply because everything is so crowded and most of the doctors have been filled up with long term patients. So it is only when somebody leaves or moves away that they have an opening.

  • I consult them, once every 4 weeks. They know my history well and are highly experienced. They are very thorough and diagnose the type of allergy and recommend treatment appropriately. The doctor is very honest and has a great bedside mannerism. They staff is very good and nice. The office is very nice and they process the paper work for insurance, promptly. I like their services and will use the same in future.

  • I am thrilled with the service I have gotten throughout the whole hospital, they do a fantastic job. They have fast and efficient service. The quality is very high and they are more concerned about the well being of the patient rather than saving money. They don't waste money, but if a test is required then they don't question it. If something needs to be done then they get it done. As far as communication, you have to be proactive. You can't expect the doctor to hold you hand, you have to work the system a little bit. You need to keep track of if you need a check up and remind them. They don't send you reminders.

  • I can't say enough about them. They are great. They are really good, courteous, and fast. You are in and out. The doctors really care about you even in their busy work schedule. The staff is very great and responsive.
  • She had delivered my kids. She is personable and a good listener. She is reasonable and sees things through. I love everything about her. I have nothing negative to say about her. She is just wonderful.
  • He is wonderful but no one is going to him because they think he is from India. He is from Poland and he speaks native Polish. He was recommended by my OB/GYN who knew him from a small town that he had been practicing in. I had been searching for ten years for a good primary care doctor. This is the first time I've felt that I am being well taken care of. In my area, it is absolutely impossible to find a good primary care doctor. He likes to send you to only the best doctors. He tries to address everything that is wrong with you. He explains things to me and is very computer savvy. I had some blood tests and he compared that to the ones from the last few years and he showed them to me. He double checks to make sure he has all the right information and checks to see when my next doctor's appointment is. He is excellent. Once he interrupted a visit for a cell phone call and I appreciated that because I have been on the other end when I needed to talk to the doctor. He is starting to get a little tardy, but not bad. The office is very nice. The staff is very friendly. The first time I saw him he spent a lot of time with me and I felt like part of the family. He cares about his patients.

  • Dr. Bennit was my elderly mom's primary care physician. She took wonderful care of my mom for years. Sadly, my mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer and it was NOT Dr. Bennit's fault that it wasn't diagnosed earlier: My mom made the decision a year prior to hide her symptoms from everyone. Her body was failing her, she knew that her memory was fading fast, and she did not want to continue down that road. It was actually heroic of her. Dr. Bennit is far more compassionate than the doctor we saw at the Stanford University Cancer Center. I thank Doctor Bennitt for her kind, understanding manner, responsiveness to our questions, and the wonderful respect that she gave our entire family in a most difficult time.

  • He is excellent and knowledgeable. He is very sure of himself and occasionally condescending and rushed. He is easy to get an appointment with and is punctual. His staff is friendly, but annoying.

  • Dr, Cummings is an allergist and my experience with her has been very satisfying. It was convenient for me from where I used to work and live. Although is less convenient these days, I decided to stick with her. Things being as they are right now with my health insurance, I can stay with her. She is good over all.
