    Was looking to purchase a car from them. I am a distance away so did it online. Pretty much had it ready to go, talked with someone about it and was just waiting to hear back from the manager. Took 12hrs for them to get back to me and I had to contact them. At that point I said yes to the deal. Only then I receive an email saying the was being sold that day and they would get back to me. Never heard back. Called them to get it figured out and they told me I needed to do paperwork that Ben (the online guy) didn't tell me about to reserve the car (gladly would have done so if I knew). Then they turned around and trying to sell me a car that didn't compare at all. Then after speaking with multiple people, I come to find out I could of had the car delivered to be me, when I was told they only deliver locally. Overall incompetency and lack of professionalism. Horrible service and generally overpriced so if you do make the mistake of buying from them. Be ready to have to fight for a reasonable price.

    I was looking to purchase a Chevy Bolt, but apparently those vehicles are hard to come by. After doing some online looking, AV Chevy contacted me via email and said they were interested in selling me a Chevy Bolt. I initially blew them off because they didn’t have any in stock and I didn’t figure they could help me. Then Richard Hertzberg called me from AV Chevy and said they could place a custom order for me and it’s no big deal because they do it all the time. He wasn’t pushy and was very accommodating when I told him I was coming from 80 miles away. He made me an appointment on that same day. When I arrived he told me he was still working with his previous customers whose appointment started 3 hours before mine. He quickly offered to have another salesperson help me, but I was impressed with Richard so I declined. 15 minutes later he’d wrapped up his other appointment and sat down with me to order my car. He was very knowledgeable and explained the features of the car and answered all of my questions about the process. He made sure I had his cell number and told me I could text him anytime. He also told me it’d be 6-8 weeks before I could take delivery. The whole process was quick and only took about half an hour. I didn’t have to put down a retainer fee and no money was exchanged. Then the wait started. Richard kept in frequent contact texting me every week or so. He’d give me updates on the car’s production and shipping status. Thanks to Richard, I know the exact day my car went into production. At one point he called me and offered me all the dealer extras (door paint protectant, upgraded alarm system, extended warranties, etc.). He explained everything very well and answered all of my questions. At the end of his explanations, I decided to decline all extras and Richard was perfectly fine with that. He didn’t push or try to convince me to do something I didn’t want to do. The communications continued as the car was shipping across the country and then the negotiations started. As I said before, I live 80 miles away so going to the dealership just to haggle over price was not something I was interested in doing. Thankfully, we were able to negotiate all pricing via text message in an environment that was pressure free and on my own schedule. I received a detailed breakdown of all charges and fees so there were no surprised the day I picked up the car. I was able to walk in knowing exactly what the car would cost me. Richard informed me that the car had finally arrived in the LA area. I was super excited! I knew it would only be a few more days before I could have my brand new car that I’d waited so long for (or so I thought). Turns out there was a shipping delay and it was over a week later before I could get my car. I wasn’t very happy about this at all especially since I had prior engagements for the following week that prevented me from taking delivery of the car (driving 80 miles one way requires quite a bit of time that I didn’t have). I informed Richard of this and he expedited the process as much as he could so I could get the car as quickly as possible. On the day I picked up my car, I was very impressed with AV Chevy. The car was detailed, fully charged and sitting in an inside show room since it was raining outside. I was able to inspect my car completely and then went for a test drive. The car was exactly what I had expected it to be. It was perfect! I agreed to purchase the vehicle and it was time for money to exchange hands. Richard was very helpful and the finance guy was very efficient and explained all the paperwork so I knew what I was signing. The purchasing process took about an hour. I was impressed with the efficiency of the dealership and their employees. I found out later that Richard came in on his day off work so that I could get the car before my other engagements. He really went the extra mile and I’d highly recommend purchasing or ordering a vehicle from AV Chevy especially if you get a chance to work with Richard Hertzberg.

    It is about 1/4 the price for labor than in Baltimore. They are unique to me because the computer said there was a fault for one thing but it was actually something else. They said no, you don't need this sensor you need the cam sensor. They were absolutely straight up. They could have charged me a lot more and done a lot more but they didn't. They were absolutely straight forward, great price, very professional. This is where I will go from now on.

    I have been real happy with them. They have treated me very well. They had someone come and pick me up and took my to the dealership to purchase the car. They had a party for everyone who purchased a car from them that year. They have gone out of their way for me as a customer. I was lost and they went the extra step to help me find my way.

    As usual I was approached immediately upon stepping on the lot. I said I was just looking and to my surprise I wasn't followed all over. When I had a question a salesman by the name of Jorge Chavez was very helpful. We compared several models and took a test drive. At no time did I feel pressured. I ended up buying the model 3. During this whole process my 7 and 9 year olds were very patient. It was late (9:00pm or so) when we finished and I took them to Jack in the Box for dinner. My wife was in our other car. After dinner she drove away and I couldn't get the Prius out of park. I tried over and over without success. My phone was dead so I couldn't tell my wife to turn around. I tried using a pay phone for the first time in years. It cost 75¢ and didn't work! Meanwhile, my daughter is freaking out. I finally used the phone in Jack in the Box to let her know what was going on then went back to the car to wait. Unbeknownst to me, she called Jorge on his cell phone. He was already at home. Before she could get back to me, Jorge pulled up next to us to help. Turns out that you have to push the brake BEFORE pushing the power button. If you push the power button first it turns on the accessories, but you can't shift out of park. I was quite embarrassed. If you are looking to buy a Toyota, go to Sierra Toyota and ask for Jorge Chavez. This guy is great!

    You won't find a more honest, reliable provider for auto sales and service. Mike Marino won't sell you a car until he's thoroughly screened it and knows it'll be a good vehicle for you. Then he'll look after it and make sure you keep it in the best possible running condition. Over the years I've purchased 2 used vehicles from him. Both have been everything he said they'd be and more. For the last one, he didn't have what I needed available, so he went out and found it for me. I can't imagine going anywhere else next time I need to buy a car. I trust him completely. And of course, I know I can count on him to fix anything that goes wrong, and to let me know what maintenance work my car is due for. He genuinely looks out for his customers' best interests.
