  • I called and got an immediate response. Jake came out, gave me an estimate. I have about a quarter acre of yard that is not all in one piece. They mowed within the week and have been coming every other week since, rain or shine. A crew of three arrive, mow, weed eat, blow grass from sidewalk, etc. They are here no longer than 20 minutes from start to finish. They are efficient, there is never a moment where one of them is idle. They are polite if I have questions. They are professional. I also have them trim my 60 ft or so of privet - separate crew, separate schedule, separate charge. The same can be said for them. Hard working, polite, professional, efficient.

  • Robert, does the mowing every two weeks or so for our front and large backyard. He is very professional and leaves the place looking like it was being prepared for a special on HGTV. It does come at a price though. He is at least 20-30% higher than most others I have talked to.

  • I had initially hired this company to clear away areas of forested land -- to clear brambles, to keep the redwoods and other live trees, and to limb those trees to keep them healthy. The work J & G did was amazing-- expensive for me but very very well-done.

    I have contracted them since to do regular maintenance.

  • This company was amazing to do business with!  They were on time and completed the job in the time frame they estimated to get it done.  They were very professional and truly hard working.  I can not say enough good things about them.  We were so fortunate to have hired them.  They managed the job well and were courteous to the neighbors.  We got 3 bids on this job because of the number of trees to be cut and their size.  Ridgeline Tree Service provided a fair bid and exceeded our expectations.  We will use their service again.

  • .The crew came in and took out the offending trees without any problems or damage. They showed up when they agreed to start and work safely during the job here. Brush was cleaned up, branches shredded and removed upon completion. Very happy with the work they did.

  • The owner is allowing me to pay for each job, before the next one is begun. He knows about when weeds and various grasses should be sprayed and/or removed. He has been patient in answering my questions. I had a disappointment, once, when I thought some ivy should have been cut further back, and it was done.

  • Although the walkways turned out very well, we were disappointed because the job was not initially finished as promised. However, once we contacted Miller's about what was left undone, they responded promptly and wrapped up the job.

    I'll start with the positives:

    1) The walkways were done very well and look nice.
    2) The crew who poured the cement worked hard and was quiet and efficient.

    And now what didn't go so well:

    1) We got the estimate in early April. We had to call a few times to schedule the work. Our first message or two was not returned.
    2) The crew didn't show up at all on the day we were told work would begin. Instead of Miller's contacting us regarding the delay, we had to call and were told the crew had to finish another job. Our project was rescheduled to the next week.
    3) When the crew showed up the following week, the first two guys had no idea what they were there for. They asked me if they should start shoveling the rock perimeter in the front yard. I had to explain our project involved only the back yard and showed them a diagram and instructions my husband fortunately left, just in case. The crew leader appeared to know more but it wasn't clear how much instruction had been given about what our project entailed.
    4) The workers asked me where to put the ornamental rock they moved to pour the sidewalk. I asked them if they planned to put the rock back once the forms were removed and they said yes. I then suggested putting the pile near the walkway so it'd be easier to put back when they were done. They left without putting the rock back. My husband had to shovel the rock instead.
    5) They also left without reinforcing the fence posts. We had to contact Miller's and ask that the work be completed.

    Okay, now for the rest of the story (another positive!):

    The owner followed-up with us immediately after receiving our complaint by e-mail. He apologized profusely and graciously offered to have the workers return and complete the job at no additional cost. The two workers who showed up to reinforce our fence posts were punctual, knew exactly what needed to be done and had the job finished in 20 minutes.

    If I was asked to provide advice to the merchant, I'd say their communication with staff and customers before, during and after projects needs work. There should be a confirmation call to the customer to make sure details are set and expectations outlined before the work begins. If a crew can't show up on the day a project is to begin, contact the customer to say so and offer an alternative. Finally, I'd suggest a follow-up e-mail survey, inquiring about the quality of work, whether the job was finished to the customer's satisfaction, allow for comments, etc. There are several internet survey sites that can easily be set up to perform such an inquiry.

  • Terrible!!! 

    I could have resolved all my issues in two minutes are less with a live person. I even tried the after purchase, purchase line to get to a live person. No luck. Now knowing I can not get to a live body via telephone. I currently will no longer purchase WORX produces. Note: I would not make my WORX purchases, if I had had the knowledge I now know about not being able to speak with a Live Person Via Telephone...

  • I went with the low bid and am very
    pleased with the work performed..  It took one day to clear all the
    limbs and the remaining "sticks" were felled the following morning. 
    Eric and his crew did an excellent job chipping the debris which was
    trucked to another part of our property to be used as mulch.  We
    requested that he save the larger limbs fur us to cut into firewood. 
    The job entailed felling the tree into several lengths to avoid damage
    to our driveway and fence line.
    As noted above, we are quite happy with the work and plan to have Eric perform more work in the future.
